배우 황민현이 ‘환혼’에서 열연은 물론 OST 가창까지 직접 참여한 '환혼: 빛과 그림자' 두 번째 OST‘나무 (바라만 본다 2)’가 공개된다.
‘나무 (바라만 본다2)’는 ‘환혼’ 파트1의 OST ‘바라만 본다’를 편곡, 개사한 새로운 버전으로 이번 ‘환혼: 빛과 그림자’의 '서율' (황민현 분)의 감정을 더욱 디테일하게 담아낸 가사와 분위기가 인상적이다.
파트1의 ‘바라만 본다’가 애틋한 감동을 선사했던 만큼, 새롭게 재탄생한 ‘나무 (바라만 본다 2)’ 역시 아련하고 애절한 감성을 전달할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.
음악감독 남혜승은 파트1과 파트2에서 '서율'의 마음은 연결되면서도 또 다른 깊이가 있어, 같은 멜로디지만 다르게 내용을 담아야 한다고 생각했고 '나무 (바라만 본다 2)'의 가사를 환혼 파트2 6화에서 그려지는 '서율'의 장면을 보고 그의 마음을 담았다고 전한다.

If you read the lyrics for Just Watching You part 1 and part 2, it’s even sadder because it tells the story of Seo Yul just watching Naksu quietly at the side and protecting her. In part 2, it’s called Tree because he again is just watching her. He becomes a tree that does not actively does anything but will always be a strong pillar behind her, allowing her to rely on him when she needs. The story of Seo Yul and Naksu is so beautiful and sad. This drama is really one of the best.

To whoever said that minhyun's acting is bad, they clearly don't know how to act. His eyes portrayed so much emotions whenever he saw Naksu/mudeok. The longing, the pain, regret and self loathing he has for himself for not trying hard enough to keep someone he dears so much. He portrayed it so much viewers feels sorry for his character in the storyline. Keep hating but this man has a lot of potential and directors wouldnt be casting him if not for it.

Since AOS Part 1, I've been waiting for an OST to be sung by Minhyun.
And then I heard this yesterday while watching the episode where he discovered that Jin Buyeon is Naksu, to be honest I didn't recognized his voice first, but I noticed that some of the lyrics are different than the first one that we heard for AOS Part 1.
Finally I found this music video on RUclips and audio on Spotify and confirmed that it was Minhyun, and this is the 2nd part of Just Watching You.
His voice and character suits the song well.

The first version of this song is great, but this one truly carries the yearning and longing of Yul for Naksu and their past, their love that never had a chance to blossom. Min Hyun really made this song personal with a deeper meaning for his role as our beloved Seo Yul. The moment when this song starts playing in episode 6 was perfect. Really proud of Min Hyun as a singer and actor 🥰

The last time my heart broke this much for a second lead was because of junghwan in reply 1988. As much as I love seoyul, and as much as I don't want him to get the tragic ending, I just can't ignore the strong hunch that he'll end up being the one who sacrifices his life for his best friend janguk and his one true love naksu.. My heart is so prepared but also it is NOT prepared lmao 😭

서율 테마곡을 민현이가 불러주니 율이의 마음이 더 와닿는 느낌이네..특히 "다른 세상에서 만나도 그땐 스쳐가듯 그냥 지나가요 빛나는 봄을 살아가요"라는 가사에서 율이가 자신 때문에 낙수가 행복한 삶을 살지 못하고 죽었다 자책하는 것 같아 안쓰럽네..

I love it that they specifically have a song for second male lead. And I'm really glad that they give us new version of it with new lyric sang by Minhyun himself. Just Watching You lyric and song is written beautifully and sorrowfully. After AoS 1 I always feel sad when I listen to that song. Therefore, there is no doubt that we need more of it. And Namoo (Tree) is just another masterpiece. One of my favorite ost.
So happy that Minhyun is finally singing this ost for his Seoyul character in his drama 😍 I really love this song and Minhyun sang it so beautifully and emotionally with his angelic voice ❤

Yesterday when I was watching ep6, I suddenly felt emotional hearing the song and thought finally the song hits me just to later found out it was Min hyun's singing. It is often said when someone acts on that character sings his/her own theme song, it carries differently and becomes so special. Now I admit it!!
The season 1 version is great too, but I love this one with different lyrics a little bit more now ^^
