I was told by my mechanic that about 70-80 percent of problems with the EPS that he encounters are critter chewed wiring harness. What happens is mice and other small critters looking for a warm place to spend the night get up in there and chew on the wires. This is an easy fix that only costs a few hundred dollars, but a lot of times mechanics will tell you you need a new module or rack and charge you a fortune.
After replacing the Steering Rack or EPS motor Eps ECU you must need to do collaboration to Match part number with Main ECM Collaboration must be do Any scanner tool for Steering angle sensor

Hey I'm dealing with stiff turning and grinding sound when turning. Belle tire told me that my motor in my Eps is shot and that I need to replace my whole rack and pinion. Wondering on your opinion on how accurate my issue is and if I can simply the replace the motor. Please and thank you

Change the motor only or get it repired. No need to change anything else.
