      Yeah, you don't want to get on his bad side.
      You are Luke Stoltman. It is the morning of Day 1 of the Shaw Classic.
      You are going through the breakfast serving. You have just taken the last serving of Nutella.
      Behind you in the queue, you are confronted by a great hulking Lithuanian with an expressionless face.
      The last thing you can remember is these four words echoing through the dining hall:
      "I am very angry."

      Part of the issue I think is his shortcomings in moving events and his grip. At a Giants live that’s 2 of the 5 events where he is sitting at the bottom. Depending on the line up and how the show is going that could be quite a challenge to fight back from

    • @anthonyproffitt5341

      Sure he does. He is a static beast, but isn’t as good with grip or moving events. He doesn’t put himself out there so he isn’t as popular. The strongman community knows and recognizes him for what he is.

    I'm gonna copy paste something that I posted on one of Big Loz's channel, if you think that makes me a hater, i am not, thats just my honest opinion and i actually like seeing you guys compete and do well. (If you want to read this wall of text anyway lol)
    What kinda annoys me the most about the stoltman situation isn't even that they pulled out, which i kind of expect from them if it isn't WSM, but the way they handle the criticism. Nowadays every critcism is waved off as "haters" and they start to insult/make fun of everyone criticising them. And yes some people gone to far and attackted the Stoltman on a personal level (like some here) but at least 80% of the comments were justfied criticism written in a respectfull way.
    It's just bad Sport to go into a Competiton unprepared (which they both were), then come with some excuse why they have to pull out (or like the one time were Tom was at least honest Arnolrds UK) and taking a spot away from an Athletes who would have loved to take this opportunity. We saw how happy Bobby Thompson was when Mateusz pulled out before the ASC so he got the chance to compete. If it's for the Fans he could still come as a special guest, hanging out with the atheletes and fans, making some youtube content. No Fan actually gained something from him competing there, he should have come as a special guest.

      I said the same thing at Big Loz. Getting tired of athletes showing up, not having trained, not in the right headspace, then pulling out because of injury (which often occurs because of lack of preparation) or just simply don't compete seriously. No one is asking all athletes to show up at every event, but the ones you go to, you need to put in the effort.

    • @TradeWise1000
      @TradeWise1000 2 года назад +11

      I agree with what you are saying. Also just because you told someone ahead of time doesn’t justify it. And saying you won’t be at 100% and you won’t try at all is not the same thing. Every comp guys get injured, like all of them. They all will come away with some injury, it is part of the sport. I get keeping care of your body but be prepared and just decline invitation if you know this a head of time. Don’t put in on Brain that he didn’t turn down the WSM and his brother. Of course for a show runner it makes the most sense to have that on your ticket but I do think some should be up to the athletes to turn down and offer alternatives. This isn’t hate. I love the Stoltmans but want more from them. Being a leader comes with a price and responsibility.

    • @deanpeterson1006
      @deanpeterson1006 2 года назад +2

      @@TradeWise1000 I would have liked to see him compete too. But, the reality of the situation is an injury put a stop to it. He could have tried to continue and made an injury even worse. That, my friend, would be stupid. His body and abilities are his bread and butter. To needlessly put that at unnecessary risk would be an very unwise decision. Press on through with this competition, suffer a bigger, more serious injury which could necessitate missing an untold number of comps and maybe call for surgery? Luke didn't get to where he is by making bad choices. Luke, Tom, nor any other competitor owes me anything. They don't owe you anything either, regardless of how priceless you think your support is.

    Anyone who says anything negative doesn’t know your history. You are a legend in the sport of strongman and nothing they say will change that. It’s easy for someone to sit at home and try to spread hate because they don’t know what it takes to do what you do. You take care of yourself and your loved ones and everything else will work itself out. Be safe and feel better! 👍

    One of the things that always strikes me in strongman is how supportive the athletes are of one another, they all seem like buddies who just so happen to be really really strong 😂 obviously they switch it on for competition but it comes across as a gentleman’s sport in many ways.

    You and your brother both have huge impact in the sport of strong man and what it is and who you are luke. The coolest thing for me I think is that you guys have each other in the sport or just in general. Guys are good for each other in every way possible. I know and you can see Tom looks up to you big brother you know. Vise versa too. And uou guys are just such good happy fun lovable and spiritual people. Such easy people to root for makes people that much more ❤. You guys keep doing your thing man god doesn't throw things your way that he knows ya can't handle.

    Luke you are doing what is best for your body which in turn means your doing what's best for your family. Your body is your business, so of course you should protect it. I hope Tom is okay. He was missed, but I completely understand (well as much as I can), You are both amazing Strong men n I pray you continue for years to come. God bless you and Kushy and Tom and Senead and your whole Scottish Clan! From America with love. 🙏❤️💯

    You and those other strongmen are the BEST in the world. But you’re human, you have good and bad day and everything in between. Forget the haters and trolls, thank you and all strongmen for being a role model for all of us. You two personally have helped me through my mental and physical recovery. I’ve never been healthier because in part because of the Worlds strongest brothers! I got to stop by your gym when I came to Scotland. I wasn’t able to train there or meet you men but someday soon I hope to stand next to true giants!

    I can officially say I've been in a Spicy Stoltman video with Luke! I was sad he had to go as I was the next needy fan in line to get a picture with him, but he was as always a sweet man for taking the time that he did to chat with fans, while having a beer 🤘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Oh man you are not useless at all if anything you are in inspiration to a lot of the guys in the oil fields and construction workers that they don’t have to work those jobs. And you allow us to see your life and for that I thank you. You guys are all great and your body is your tool and if the tool doesn’t work then it doesn’t work simple as that. Rest up and make some spicy videos

    Take care of yourself Luke. Both you and Tom have nothing to apologize for. Anyone who does not understand an injury has not competed in any sport seriously and can just STEP OFF. Nuff said. I look forward to seeing you and Tom competing in the future. Kudos to Brian for putting on a great show.

    Hey Luuuuuke!!!! I was at the Shaw Classic and it was great to see you! I was the one yelling "Keep it Spicy!" I flew out from Massachusetts on the East Coast of USA! I was so bummed for you, glad it was nothing serious. Also I watched your brothers video and that was also unfortunate. Things happen and that's ok, no need to stress. I hope to meet the both of you at some point. I did not want to bother you , so I sat back and watched your other fans mob you lol Rest up and come back Spicy!

    Luke we all get injured or feel under the weather from time to time and there is a lot of pressure on all of us. You are a brilliant ambassador for sport, Scotland and real men don’t ever let the idiots in the world get you down. Your a brilliant sportsman and human being and that is all that matters. To hell with the idiots if they had anything about them they would have a go at WSM.

    anyone that comes out slagging off any athlete in any sport because of unforeseen circumstances is just disgusting, we are human, we get injuries and thats life. it was sad to hear the bad luck tom had, really hope hes ok, its great to finally see a stoltman at the shaw classic, ok it didnt go well but awesome to see you there luke. and i think its time brian came to scotland and spent a few days training with you guys, no doubt eddie would find his way there too, i look forward to the next event mate, stay spicy
