Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks, Rain
Just found your channel, can't wait to watch all your old (and new) episodes!!! You mentioned Luke AFB, gotta say the most fun I've ever had was flying the simulator at Luke (right before my nephew graduated, a few years ago)... Now I've really got the itch to get my license to fly. Thanks for the videos/podcast and thank you for your service 🇺🇲
Keep Up the GREAT Work 👍🏻
How lucky was the air force that that f16 you mentioned came home before crashing and didn’t fly into some school somewhere! Crazy story.
DODMERB needs to update their mental health standards... It's crazy to me that anyone IN the USAF has ready access to mental health resources, but if anyone accesses help BEFORE joining, they can't serve.
I believe the F35 had an auto eject system.
It sensed a lift fan failure and punched the pilot out.
Pure speculation, but we’ll see!
Do the CIPs Zeroize automatically when you punch?
Why would a pilot eject from an aircraft that was capable of extended flight? I thought ejecting was only done as a last resort.
The plane has an auto eject system…
@@PassportBrosBusinessClass So what was so wrong with the aircraft that it ejected the pilot? Was the auto eject system faulty? I there an option to override it?
Why was the transponder off? Also if the pilot was auto ejected why didnt the wing plane follow it?
Wont know until the investigation is over. But typically only #1 and sometimes #3 squawk when in formation.
Presumably the other pilot was more concerned with keeping an eye on the ejected pilot rather than following the plane.
@@sonictech1000 It's possible to do both, the other pilots position isn't going to be far (just parachute drift by wind) off. He can spot the location, call it forward, then follow the empty plane
The auto-eject system is supposed to only be armed when in hover mode. I have read comments that suggested the pilot reported losing control and that the flight controls were not responding so he ejected. Speculation. Is it possible this guy punched by accident? I suspect many already know what actually happened but are close-hold on the info for the time being.
With over 4k f16s made, is it possible/legal for a civilian to buy one? (Non-militarized of course as I’m sure you’d have a tough time talking Lockeed into selling you bullets and bombs for some weekend fun.)
