Yea well Jason understands he knows his sons hurt he mourned his father for 21/2 years and then to here from Jasons own mouth that his dad didn’t come back as soon as he could that has to hurt especially considering how much of his life Jason’s been MIA he’s 17 years old on may 4th in 13 months he will be an adult he’s got a lot going on comments on here are a bit nasty I’m sure Jasons character wouldn’t want anyone dragging his son because they want to be protective of him that’s not how he lives his life he protects the people he loves and so for the fans of his character to trash his son is a bit unhinged
For the same reason my girls are angry at they’re father even though he was in prison and even though I put him there because he’s Jakes father and Jakes father is MIA Jake don’t care and don’t want to here his dad had reasons all he knows is he didn’t have a dad for a lot of his life and he’s hurt
Jason is a horrible father. He’s never been an active father to either son. And he chose to let them believe he was dead to save Carly. Jake is now old enough to see his father for what and who he is

Or that Jason lost time with both Jake and Danny because someone kidnapped him before. Or that again he was forced into a position that even Sam understands that Jason was coerced into having to stay away. Jake isn’t “seeing his father for who he is”, he’s just a kid who’s missing his father and doesn’t have answers so he’s lashing out and lashing out at a safe target.
