    295/60/20 in these Yokohama's were the biggest size I could squeeze into the wheel wells without having any rubbing issues, or having to trim any of the plastic air dam. These actual tires measure 34.2" in circumference, and all tires are different, so just make sure you check out the actual specs of your tires. Also, the truck does have a 2" level on the front, which gives more clearance, so without a level i'm not sure if these would fit without having to do some trimming.

    Great Update! My own research is indicating the most important number to focus on between the array of multiple combinations is finding a tire with 11.5" width. most 35" tires are 12.5" wide which cause all the head aches rubbing on upper control arm. seems the metric tires 285/65 or 295/60 are 11.5" and appropriate for using with our awesome 2021 sport wheels with +44 offset. Great Looking pickup Sir!

    I've been running 295/60/20 Cooper AT3s on my '14 F150 on stock suspension since I got it. It came stock with 18s. No rubbing whatsoever and I get a much quieter ride and to me looks better than it did on 18s. The only difference I've noticed is my fuel mileage dropped from 24mpg to ~19mpg (if I drive conservatively) when I got the bigger tires. Big difference but hey it's a truck, I didn't buy it for fuel economy.

    Good stuff. A few quick questions though. Using the same terminology comparing the two tires, the "35" terminology, what size would the 295/60/20's be, 34's, 34.5's, other? Thanks. As for tire selection, I'm currently loving my Falken Wildpeak AT3W's, especially in wet and snow, and they are surprisingly smooth and quiet on the turnpike. You referenced not like their price increase, but putting price aside, how would you compare what you have here versus the Falken's? And lastly, if you offset those a bit more, a bit more poke, would that help or hurt, increase or decrease, the clearance, avoiding rub? Thanks.

    • @BrianWatersOutdoors
      @BrianWatersOutdoors  8 месяцев назад +1

      All tires are slightly different, but mine measure around 34.2” technically. More negative offset usually means more chance for rub in my experience on the outer fenders. I did really like my Falkens, but I think these Toyos have a slightly more aggressive look to them which I like. They are just a hair louder at highway speeds compared to the Falkens though.

    It's my understanding that the "rub" problem is with the front and rear crash bars (and of course the valance but that's an easy fix). I keep seeing that the 2" lift spacer makes the difference. How though? Please explain. Because it doesn't change where the crash bars are. Unless the bigger tire is rubbing on the inside of the top of the fenderwell, how does lifting the front a mere 2" fix the crash bar issue? I would think wheel offset and/or tire width would be the real deciding factor. And if lifting the crash bar 2" in order ti fit bigger tires is the solution, what happens during any sort of suspension compression? Wouldn't the rub occur then on a constant basis?

    The title of this video is misleading, you can go bigger. To actually save you time, the real answer is 295/65/20 (35.1"x11.5) KO2's on my 2021 FX4 with a 2.5 level kit on. An important factor for the 35.1"x11.5 tires to fit is to keep them on the stock wheels, the positive offset (+44) allows them to fit. No rub at all, no trimming or issues at full turn.
    Hope this comment actually helps anyone looking for the biggest tire they can fit.

      It’s not misleading. I installed bigger tires and got rub. Easy.

      @@BrianWatersOutdoors the video title implies that this is the biggest size possible to fit on the F-150. Then at the start of the video you tell everyone you’ve done all of the research for them to save them time and will tell the what the biggest tire size that will fit. Not that this is the bigger tire size that you’ve put on your truck, but it implies the biggest tire size that will fit on F150’s. Misleading.

      I have a 2019 FX4 and looking to bump up. Is there any difference between our model years that might cause me to rub with the size KO2s you mentioned? Thanks.

      Hi.. You seem to know better then I do. I am new to this. I am getting 2.5 leveling kit installed this week on 2wd stx. I ordered 295 60 20 today but now I am afraid it might rub. I don't want any modifications such as trimming or offset. You think I can use 295 60 20 on 2wd with 2.5 leveling kit.

    I would love to see the truck and tires from more angles, all angles. I am interested in this tire and size specifically. You have the only setup that I have found.
