  • Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago gained independence from the UK in 1962. Photographers Chloe Meunier, Tunde Hall and Mona Mohammed documented the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of their independence in 2012.
This short clip was made for the exhibition 'Independence' (2 October 2012 - 26 January 2013) tracing the history of the Caribbean islands from the days of the Arawaks and the Caribs, through to enslavement and abolition, and the ending of British rule.
