This doesn't exactly happen very often. And if it's his personal projector he takes around to various presentations, obviously ceiling mounting it would be impractical.

@Jill-el8xu The only solution is to make an example with the consequences of actions such as this Student. If no priors, suspension, however with his history, expulsion first most. Then arrested for damage to property. Paying for damages, and paying for disrupting Speakers time, community service and completing anger management classes.
This is the result of years of being told "words are violence" - emotionally charged idiots then respond with ACTUAL violence, believing they are justified in doing so. Well done American 'education' system!

In my opinion there is more than one cause. The first of which are the many ways how Social Media has changed how people form their opinions. Thanks to the efficiency of the code people get to see what they want to see. Which creates an echo chamber and distorts their view on reality. Which in turn can cause them to take extreme actions that end up making news because drama sells. And that is the next culprit: Big Newsgroups whose commitment to pleasing their audience is greater as their commitment towards informing the poulation with factual news.Which again creates an echo chamber as well as an really appealing narrative. Today everyone is a rebel fighting for a good cause against the Big Power. Who Big Power is changes dependingon who tells the tale but the story is the same. As to why said narrative is so appealing i can only guess. Maybe there is a general need for meaning or self realization in modern day society. Or it is just good old tribalism.
The whole point should be to protect free speech.

True. But in order to have a civil discussion about something you disagree with you have to have intelligence. And based on this video and the fact that this kid has a history of violence throughout his life including with other students while attending college, it's clear that this kid is ignorant & lacks any kind of intelligence that would allow him to have a civil discussion with throwing a fit like a baby.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm shocked the university defended the conservative speech. Normally if the minority cried loud enough, they back down and condemn it.
