Yes, it is different, but everything you've said here is so true. I'm definitely going to share this video with my classes moving forward. While preparing the course, I was dismayed at many of the sources I was finding encouraging interpreters to simplify the message. Your explanation of why we shouldn't do this is SPOT on.
This is one of the best videos I saw on the subject. I agree with Kelly's comment that a wealth of online information is encouraging the interpreters to editorialize by simplifying the message, which is unacceptable, and I was glad to come across your video because it presents a much better, ethics-driven approach.

Don't conflate literacy or illiteracy with intelligence--another key point, and much appreciated. Keep making these great videos!
