Space Theme (remastered)

I decided to revise the sound of my last mockup for the space film/series theme. I have played around with the reverb (making it much shorter) and playing with EQ matching, giving hopefully a brighter and clearer result.

nice composition, good programming.. :) kudos for that
once thing.. the mix needs work, it is not mixed with broad stereo spectrum and is missing the warm touch. as it is now, It's edgy/cold sounding and too bright (piercing bright often).

Thanks, always good to have another pair of ears. Some of it is guesswork, I have some high frequency hearing loss so I tend to overdo the high-end. Although the last thing I need today is more warmth! 😎

@@mr_don_key I’m intrigued by the stereo comment though, most of my samples are VSL synchron which are stereo positioned out of the box, I have selected wide mics for strings but more standard mics for distant instruments. I have tried using stereo widening but you start to lose that realness a bit.

@@michaelreynolds1177 not sure what it is.. maybe it's the libraries itself? although i've heard also renders with vsl (synchron and vi), that sound warm, detailed and broad.
i really don't know the cause.. and again, the music itself is good, just be clear about that.

@@mr_don_key One thing I’ve recently dialled back since is compression after reading that orchestral mockups need very little. I suspect that might causing a lot of the issues. I spend more time composing than sound engineering but tweaking my template as I go. I appreciate any constructive feedback, it’s how I get better.
