Balloons are porous so when it heats up the pours open and epoxy seeps out.

- 3:41 The resin leaked out because balloons are not "solid", they have microscopic holes. That's why they deflate over time. Also, the resin gets hot when it cures which makes the latex molecules in the rubber to move fast which helps leak out a little.

For the resin outside the balloon that's due to the microscopic holes result. That's also why balloons slowly deflate.

Thank you. The balloon is porous, when filled with air particles actually do escape to the atmosphere. The resin coming through the balloon showed in a visible way this property.

the resin got outside because rubber is porous. That's why even though a balloon is air tight, it eventually loses helium! very creative idea though, and it turned out great!

The reason resin seeped through is because there are microscopic holes in the balloon. That's the reason why a balloon filled with air deflates over time.

I had a thought last night what would be real cool to see, a clear Snickers candy bar. Peanuts can be molding it made of epoxy, with each layer being seen. Just a thought, or even make your kind of candy bar with see through layers.

The resin got outside because balloons are microporous. Besides that there was som slightl residual pressure ftom air in the balloon and due to the heating of the resin during cure.
