I think one key detail that people forget when talking about HoloGTA or NijiGTA, even VCR, is the fact that both have Shobosuke and his team as support. Not to say that either server's gods didn't do any work. They all did tons of behind the scenes work with meetings once the servers close about balance updates with support staff and other more experienced members that even lasted until 10 am. But the model that limited event servers like VCR, NijiGTA or HoloGTA use is based around Shobosuke's Street Graffiti (STGR) aka Stogura server.
STGR is a full on RP server that's been going on for 2 years where you have to create a character and play that role using whatever backstory, personality, or interactions that character has. There are serious dramatic moments where streamers get so into their roles that they cry IRL, and there are genius level comedic moments that are endlessly rewatcheable. Both exist in the same server, both sides of the same coin. NijiGTA was that. Hoshikawa's main goal behind the event was to show people the good points of STGR but with existing interaction between the livers. HoloGTA was a mix of chaos and the latter, with some serious moments peppered in. All three are great and endless sources of enjoyment that exist on their own merits and have their own unique flavor.
TL;DR: Check out Stogura too, it's pretty cool :D
Both great but Im prefer Niji one because I love male and female livers interact to each other
In case you don't know, Miko amd suisei are put in theirs own personal money to made this GTA event.
Also working support all members. She even crying with suisei after all work done
I give her respect for all members and staff who working on this project
I wonder what kind of financial return these kinds of projects have for them. When Mikochi explained why they stopped organizing sports festivals, she said that the financial aspects of organizing them were quite difficult for them. Of course, their viewership and popularity are increasing, but are they experiencing financial difficulties in the short term?
Lol no @@Deniztgn
@@Deniztgn i think it was more about time constrains since these kind of events takes a lot of time to prepare .For minecraft they need to build ingame venues, hire coder to make custom mods, etc but in GTA they used fiveM mods which were readily usable. as for the financial aspects i really doubt they lost money from this, since the event garnered millions of views
@@Deniztgn I think it was more of the amount of labor time that was being put into it was the deciding factor. Pretty much no one in HoloPro is hurting financially but the amount of time that a project can take is a big deciding factor. For the HoloID Cup this year it took about 4 months of the girls time building Borobudur, doing 2+ streams a week of just building it between the 4 that were running it PLUS they were working on it off stream also and the other girls chipped in time which took roughly 400 hours in total I'd guess. That doesn't include any of the time planning the events, scheduling with everyone, the required support of staff and so on. That on top of all of their other job basically takes up all of their time for months and is a lot of stress.
Hold on why this event cost money? I thought they just make a lobby on gta and thats it
Erolive never left, it just concentrated on and diffuses from a few members. And by a few, I mean Okayu and Marine.

@@assaulthetz Dude the guy got banned on twitch for several days and Holo staff just told her to be more careful next time especially its not only her getting involve(and almost all of them streamers outside Holo) like this time the guy got temporary banned.
its obvious who only watch and is a bystander of nijien here, the nijigta was absolutely hilarious and everyone is making assumptions without even trying to watch some of the clips uploaded. sad to see that an event produced by the livers themselves is getting downplayed with the staff that clearly has nothing to do with it
Because I'm more into FPS and hardcore gameplay, I found NIJIGTA more interesting... VCRGTA vibes, The match between police and gangs are damn fun. The interactions between male and female livers are also very... cursed but fun. Like the marriage, cabbaret, and all that stuff 😂 They also had few dramas, like in the police force and cartels and it reminded me a lot of STGR, which I enjoyed (mainly なるせ's pov)
Of course, I found HOLOGTA quite fun too. But I only watch it thru Towa's POV and comparing her now to when she's still in VCRGTA, asking なるせ for advice, literally made me teared up. She's so good now
Of course the holo fans who didnt even watch a glimpse of nijigta would complain.Anyways both are fun and funny
I thought Shiina had more of a "bully" or "prankster" type of personality, so is kinda funny seeing her getting mindbroken by Okayu's GTA endeavors.

Kinda surprising for Niji. But maybe they feel the need to be more careful in a mixed gender server?
@@moocha3689 I think they were just more strict with the RP stuff than hololive. Different flavors of play
they need to be careful, because EN scandal and Niji Image is currently on badside. So better play it safe.
Also if i am not wrong, Niji is more to Male Vtuber than the girls side, so their Audience is more to Female Audience and minor.

I'm really glad the Holo girls were allowed to have mostly free reign (although they did get bonked a few times for certain emotes). That GTA series is going to be legendary for many years to come. I really hope COVER is looking into doing more large scale RP events like it in the future. And having all branches together brought some incredible moments between members that we would usually never get.
It's not COVER that initiates events like this, this was Miko's project and Susei helped out when she found out about it. The talent have to come up with and orchestrate/fund these events.
@@ThaSandwitch I'm aware, but COVER still has to give the greenlight on big stuff like this. At the end of the day if they don't approve it then it won't happen. Not to mention that doesn't actually stop COVER from helping plan these projects in the future.

HoloGTA in day 1 is just ur usual RP server and become degenerate day by day. LoL😂
i'm convinced many of those on the hologta server had a lot of past gta rp experience. okayu especially.
Uh yeah so we're a seiso idol company.
In case anybody are using this to attack on any other company. First of all its not that Hololive are having more fun because they "actually" have fun, the fact is during both events both vtubers from respective companies are having fun its just that the rule are different and the people are different, there are probably stuff that happened in NijiGTA that HoloGTA was unable to do too.
NijiGTA was very fun to watch. Obviously one of the biggest difference in NijiGTA compared to HoloGTA is because in NijiGTA there are a lot more people joining because they combined the JP, KR and EN branch so there is always something going on everywhere which also means the mechanics, the medics, the police, and store owners have to work harder than in Holo simply because stuff happened all the time everywhere, this made them have less time to goof around like Okayu as a mechanic. Many of them are not taking things seriously especially around their own friend group or gangs but even then when a liver calls after their car broke down most of the time it is best to just come and fix their car and then leave so to not waste both of their time unless if both livers know each other then they would goof around. Most of the time the livers themselves does not know the other livers who called their shop or in need of their help and considering how chaotic it was, calls for mechanic and medic could come at any minute. That is why NijiGTA often looks as if they are taking things more seriously even though they really not.
The vtubers themselves will have to meet a lot of new people who are other nijisanji members whom they otherwise would never know before the event which is why the communication and playfulness between the livers are often not as close when compared to in HoloGTA where almost all of the members are already known each other for a long time.
But to make things even more clearer, Its not that there were no vulgar stuff happening there. It is maybe limited, in the sense that not everyone is doing it, but a lot of stuff did happened lmao.
I hope that clear things up a bit.
That is why the holo one was so fun because they were having fun not taking anything seriously
yes. More companies need to let their employees have fun. Life's too short to take everything seriously.
Nijisister here, it's the livers themselves who took it seriously.
-We had a serious police force(really fucking dramatic). -There's also a news article writer who documented drama/crimes/politics(concerning the police treatment inside nijiGTA).
- with how powerful the police force were, the heists were, arguably more cinema(not that I'm shitting on HoloGTA)
- It was absolute fucking cinema (even if you don't watch Nijisanji as often)
I fucking hate Anycolor but NijisanjiJP(specifically) has good talents.
i'm jealous that HoloEN had an awesome wedding though, literally one of the funniest part in my opinion. FubuMioKorone stole the fucking show once again.

It's rare to see nijisister not mad. respect 😊
Probably because they are a lot more inexperienced at rp, hence the “not taking anything seriously” thing. Good fun but different fun from the Niji one that is more “proper” if we look at it in a more elitist way.
@@SZ-109 ahh. good to know.
Not surprising on the clothes wearring thing, would definitely be avoided on a mixed gender server, could get complaints about sexual harassment or ERP. Also it could lead to misunderstandings. Really in this sort of environemnt its something that of the major corpos only Hololive could get away with wihtout it being misunderstood or labelled ERP.
Korone beating her wife in game would go over a little different if it were say, Vox Akuma beating Selene
The talent also really careful in handling a lot of other things, you can see in Day-4 the moment when staff-san spawned dog attacked Miko (as payback for Mikochi spawned chimps on Staff) they didn't try to kill the dog, Ollie tried to use tasers on it, and resulting in both Mikochi and Ollie died to the dog, lol. Later on the same dog attacked Iroha during a firefight, she's also used tasers instead of firearms, and then died to the dog attack, lol.

Hey, Okayu was super serious... about having fun!
AMAZING clip, thank you so much! Yeah, *maybe* the simple answer here is that the NijiGTA event (if I remember correctly) included a lot more people (EDIT: like men, wow I'm an idiot, lol). And then the HoloGTA event also had a LOT of EN members, who have VERY different expectations for the "roleplay" aspect of the experience. Even a lot of the JP members were "playing it straight", but then by the end were kind of embracing the chaos and zaniness.
But seriously... WHO MADE OKAYU HEAD MECHANIC?! LOL! She was absolutely unhinged, she is such a soft-spoken menace, she gets away with absolute murder because everyone likes her so much. What an amazing week.
niji had men, probably the main reason imo
@@kazutoriyama5142 Oh... oh yeah. I absolutely forgot that part.
You say that EN had different expectations about roleplay but tbh the JP talents initiated the dumbest stuff first, while some EN members played it absolutely straight.
Okayu and Marine instantly went lewd mode and had to be warned.
Korone family went into drug dealing on their own, with only Lui influencing them.
Calli played it basically straight, her only real gag was that she was Texan.
Ina also played it fairly straight, being so comfy because when there were no jobs she would sit and eat at the reception desk or something.
So yeah I think there's diversity in who is initiating the gags and all that.
@@snowwolf342 That's a good point, though when I mention "play it straight", I don't mean a lack of "weirdness" or wackiness. What I mean is that when the JP mem play a role, they often play it VERY consistently, and can even get very emotionally invested into their own or other characters.
That's rarer for the EN members, they and their audiences are usually not expecting or as invested into the "narrative generation" side of these kind of games. However, I will say that Mumei and Anya were often super in-character, and generated some amazing stories in the game (like running from the police).
@@jergarmar I don't think that is necessarily true for the audience, who has seen ENReco and how some members full send into their RP, especially considering the most popular storyline from that is Gigi's which is 100% emotion and dedication to the RP.
The JP mems also have quite a few who don't invest a lot in the RP. Kanade basically slacked near 100% of the time, and while Laplus did go with the RP she still went with her usual "I love Towa-sama" bit which is technically an out of character bit. Subaru even ended up with that Lonely Pineapple bit. Half the time the JP mems were just being themselves, which was just coincidentally their role too (Sora just being a civilian, the Gang being filled with the most chaotic or shooter heavy players) and this really applied to the EN members too (Ina and Calli as mentioned, Fuwamoco still went 100% on their medic RP despite their wackiness, Ceci going 100% on the ice cream to the end).
I just feel like it isn't exactly correct to say that the JP members are more RP oriented than EN and the EN members had less investment, considering that EN had fewer members (so JP has more members to inspect in how they RP), the leaders being JP (and thus they ALL had to actually act their role to get everyone in line). The language barrier also prevents EN from actually pushing any storyline they actually want, while the JP members could push a strong storyline with others, like Korone Fubuki Mio's love triangle and red wedding, and all the gang cop fights being coordinated in JP.
glad that they're still close friends
I'm really glad they did this kind of events though. Holo gta introduced me to so many hologta members and made me interested to know more about them. After getting to know more about their lore, rewatching the clips made it even funnier. Huge props to Mikocchi and Suisei for organizing it!
HoloGTA was amazing. That place was on fire, figuratively and literally.
Aitai stickers. Dont @ me!
I don't really watch Niji, so I didn't know anything about their GTA event. But after HoloGTA ended, I was of the opinion that 7 days was a bit too short. 2 weeks probably would've been too long tho, so I thought maybe 10 days would've been good. Looks like the Niji people had the same opinion as me. I hope the next HoloGTA would follow the same idea!
NijiGTA was so fun cuz if you watched from the police side, it was like a whole movie. Seriously they could make a movie from it.
Other than that, it was also fun to see the unexpected interactions between the livers, like the Enigma team (kuzuha, leos, meloco, and furen) and they had such a solid teamwork.
I also never expected to see Ver and Kaida interact in the game too😂. Introverts unite lmao
I mostly only watched from my oshi's POV, it was calming but also super chaotic at the same time😂😂
The attire etc. were silly, but Okayu's sticker scheme was brilliant.
regardless of what anyone thinks whether its Niji or Holo gta. i think we can all agree on one thing:
1. Korone's Red Wedding was a soap opera level love triangle.
2. Rai Nyannyan Arc was the best love-comedy anime in recent years.

It is fine if someone favours one anime over the other. It, however, irks me when someone only watch one and only anime in their entire life, say Dragon Ball (not even Z, imagine that). But when other person with larger repertoire and has watched more anime than them (including Dragon Ball) says 'One Piece is amazing it's the best shõnen anime', they quickly dismiss it by saying 'no, Dragon Ball is obviously the best'. Meanwhile, they don't even know the existence of One Piece until the other person brought it to the conversation. They may have a better footing in this case if they have "broadened their horizon" by watching 3-5 more adjacent anime including a bit of One Piece to form proper opinion, you know?
Back to the topic at hand, it is fine if you prefer HoloGTA over the others and vice versa and even make a strong case about it as long as you know what you are talking about. But there were many people here in this comment section, when I perused this comment section at the time I made the initial post, shamelessly admitted that they didn't even watch NijiGTA, VCR or STGR one, nor did they know about their existence. Not until they watched this video, yet insisted they are worse than HoloGTA like it is a matter of fact. So, no. These are not just all in my mind.
To top it off, they were also often accompanied by the most ignorant arguments such as: "I don't know Niji have a GTA RP server but it's not good because they took the role play seriously" or "I don't watch NijiGTA but HoloGTA is better because the girls just having fun, Niji is too strict with their role play therefore less fun", or something along those lines. They admitted that they didn't even watch it, so how could they tell any of this in the first place?
Some even made egregious arguments by bringing the most unrelated and irrelevant things with the use of a ridiculous mental gymnastics like: "Niji management and some of their talents mistreated other talent in the past, therefore the company is bad, therefore all the talents are also bad and insufferable hence Niji GTA is automatically terrible".
I suppose you could still argue that in both of my examples they are just opinions at the end of the day and people are entitled to them. I agree, however they are uninformed, ill-equipped and terrible opinions at best, and the one who expound it, again, comes across as ignorant and narrow-minded.
I cannot be more clearer than this so I hope you can see where I am coming from.
@@laughingbot. I hear you by the end and im still sticking to my point that again, very extreme reaction and unnecessary call out of people who are merely saying "such and such is the best thing i've seen". it's just an online opinion and it's not even over heavy, serious topic. These are just people discussing some online entertainment stuff
I really dont want to address the nijigta situation but let's be real some bs did went down during the course of the event. When internet trolls start ganging up on Hoshikawa over some accident that was entirely because the viewers took this RP stuff very seriously. When the EN boytoy Luca starts being a buzzkill in the server that was also some bs too. It is really why some viewers might be turn off from engaging when they hear these things. Let's be real as cool as taking things can actually be it's also a turn off for others, either talents or viewers
Man all this is unnecessary. Like why is it so surprising for a fan of such and such turns out to claim their such and such makes the best shit
I watched both and both were GREAT! NijiGTA had the better stories since there were a lot more livers in it and so a lot of faction did a lot of stuff. However, HoloGTA had a lot more impromptu funny scenes. Some people don't know but VCR is imo even better since we have literally everyone from everywhere in there lmao
I am going to guess for the Nijisanji GTA server they had more people and they had both male/female members playing so they had stricter rules. Trying to control the actions of vtubers in GTA is probably like herding cats, so they might just have too many cats to herd so they get stricter rules.
I do hope we get more Holo GTA in the near future the clips have been hilarious.... I need to eventually watch all of FUWAMOCO's pov. Yesterday I was just watching a compilation of all car crashes in Holo GTA for each day during the commercial breaks for the one TV show I watch.
VCR GTA had even more people than HoloGTA and NijiGTA, and it's also mixed genders, yet it's not as strict as NijiGTA, just saying
Please do mind that this time hologta miko and suisei did the bill 50-50, miko chat was worried that she may be in red because of this. Miko and Suisei also have their live concert coming
Niji sister say niji more freedom than holo.
Absolutely bullsheeit..
Honestly, NijiGTA rules aren’t as strict as people make it out to be. The issue is that many of the viewers are fans of the STGR RP server because organizers like Kanae, Hoshikawa, Ex Albio, and Lauren played there a lot. These fans expect the same level of quality and pressure the talents, forgetting that a lot of them have never played GTA before. These same viewers also criticize HoloGTA, to the point where even Towa has been frustrated by them and addresses it on X. Hoshikawa was once bullied by these types of people to the point of crying and stopping her stream.
I don’t understand why people keep saying NijiGTA is stricter. I watched all 10 days from multiple POVs (Lauren, Kuzuha, Hoshikawa, Chigusa, Kenmochi), and in terms of RPs and rules, it’s about the same quality with HoloGTA. These two doesn't even compare to the strictness of STGR honestly.
Like Lauren Ebio (the Police Chief and Deputy Chief) goes to cabaret club using disguises, resulted in 2.6 Billions Debt incident. It's started as funny rp but as the time goes it evolved into a movie like scenario drama because of the improvisation of all the talents that played it, just like the absolute cinema of Bakery in HoloGTA.
The only part I can think of being strict is Luca's incident where it resulted in all english only speaker got "banned" from the server. But that's because Luca's own idiocy who thinks he's playing GTA online. I personally don't care about this because I don't care about NijiEN.
“i’m playing the perverted mechanic boss” naaaa you’re playing as the mechanic boss, that ‘perverted’ part is just you

Imo theres 3 main different from gta that niji do n holo do
1. Number of people, in term of people that join holo have less member then niji when the event happen
2. Experience, most holo dont play gta rp (as far as i know only towa, matsuri, n aki) that play once in vcr while niji have many talent that im sure play in that realm
3. The way they do things is different, while holo play more casually but serious in certain place (specially in game mechanic like doing heist, healing people, etc) niji is more like serious rp imo
Also if you dont know towa also get harras because want play the holo rp to "have fun" by twitter asylum dweller

why are holo fans in the EN side act like this? All of this holier than thou just because two gtaRP server had different rules?

The difference is already clear. I watched Nijigta because of the mix of people. I looked at hologta for CGDCT,
I carry out both companies' cultures by avoiding comparisons.
If I want to see the server that has the most streamers and vtubers, I look at VCR. nothing more than that
But you don't have to tell people that hologta is better than other servers when you don't know anything and have no interest in watching them.
Interesting to hear stuff about nijisanji's GTA event. Last time I watched niji content was some time in 2020-2021 LOL
Yeah, been a while since I last watched any Niji content too and the last time was around early 2023?
But then I stopped watching, and I especially stop seeing any Niji EN content ever since the Selen termination incident.
Yikes...
imo, HoloGTA was girls only. So things could get a bit more wild with less concern about gachikoi fans.
Erolive strikes again
To be fair, holo gta was very _very_ light on the RP so everything was super light-hearted and nothing was taken seriously.
If they played on the other gta server with different rules for conduct, they would have naturally behaved differently.
Yeah, HoloGTA RP really reminds me of VCR GTA
.
Aside from the obvious gender thing (HoloGTA server only filled with girls while VCR was mixed), everything were the same, either it be the freedom to cause chaos or the light roleplay, and of course, the lewd stuffs
.
Man....... Now I want to see VCR GTA season 3 already.......
💀
Thats how game should be played.
but you need a "Reminder that one of their members who was RPing a cop got harassed to tears by a lot of angry old women for killing Nijisanji's golden boy ingame."

I think the biggest reason is hololive is a female only. It would be awkward as a male streamer meeting a female you know wearing underwear only in a game.
When I think about it, Akirose went wild even on VCRArk, but then again it's kind of her brand at that point.
will note that marine and okayu got warned for being too lewd with their emotes. and it's pretty well known at this point that both marine and okayu are into women - okayu's dating korone irl for one. (okayu early on claimed they were just close friends, but nobody truly believes that anymore.)
@@dead-claudia They got warned because everyone remembers what Matsuri did in VCR GTA, lol.
Nah. Works fine with mixed genders as long as everyone understands to act like adults and knows they're all just joking around.
Well it’s just underwear in a game, with nothing personal involved. I don’t understand what the problem would be? Everyone’s an adult.
@@dead-claudia Really? That's weird because I've heard relationship between members are forbidden? They permitted to have relationship as long as it's not with fellow members which is proven to be true by the fact that Uruha Rushia was married with MafuMafu when still active in Hololive. While there are "relationship" with fellow members, they are mostly, if not all, are just gimmick (non serious ones).
Hololive invests in management, which allows for more creative freedom for the talents. Cover staff and outside help were very present in HoloGTA, and probably even more so behind the scenes.
If talents can easily talk with managment and be warned off when they toe the line, they are more safe to explore.
I won't say anything about Niji.
@@ivanjaimeok Yeah, the talents get warnings, that's my point. They don't get terminated or leave because of poor or nonexistent management.
To be fair, hologta also has the advantage of being an all girls server. There's a lot of things that wouldn't fly had they been in a mixed setting. Things like okayu cleaning cars using yabai emotes. The emote being an obvious stupid joke wouldn't fly at all in a mixed setting. Instead of the talents expanding the joke even further and playing with it, the joke would end then and there. The dynamic is just different between all girls, all boys and mixed. Because a mixed setting is close to real life, there's quite alot of boundaries that they can't cross, and that makes them tamer than an all girls or all boys event.

NIJISANJI: Not actual idols, cannot get away with lewd
The big difference is no matter what massive niji event, Kuzuha should always be the "main character". Meanwhile, micomet and the rabbit all took a step back and let other people shine in the limelight.
This is a sad and toxic comment. But also a funny one because you’re mad Kuzuha gets a lot of views like its his fault he’s interesting.
In my opinion, the Police as a whole were the “main character” in nijiGTA with all the almost cinematic drama that happened, enigma felt like the cool side characters.
@@nasan-z6i Its incredible. You somehow completely missed the entire point of the comment. Meanwhile, apparently Hololive is still the "idol Vtuber company" for some reason to outsiders. 👀
One is an idol company and one is a comedian company, but you won't guess which is which.
It's because most of us don't like black companies in the West.
I mean, they *are* idols, though. The fact that their yabai levels are cranked all the way up doesn’t change that.
Have you ever wondered what idols do when they're not "idol-ing"? Hololive helps shed some light on that.
What do you mean, "to outsiders"? Hololive still brands their talents as idols. As for the reason, they do lots of concerts and birthday/anniversary 3D lives focused on singing and dancing.
Hololive IS the most prominent idol Vtuber company.
Shiina punching the air rn for not being allowed to twerk
And in case you forgot, holo had them remove the most yabai stuff from the game for the RP, so no showing of genitalia or straight-up nudity, no hookers or intercourse, which are in the base game.
:O
Were either of those in the Niji and VCR GTA? If not, I would guess its just standard to remove them for corpo reasons.
That's Already implemented in the base server they copied. Don't talk like you know anything. Most of the server changes and settings are based on the STGR Rp server already set up same with the niji one they're all clones of an established server
@venkaramon Stop getting uppity over this. Micomet said this exact thing on their hologta announcement. Are you going to disparage Micomet too? They specifically remove the emotes that caused the Matsuri suspension incident in VCR 2. I think niji did the same or warned livers against it.

The Niji one was more serious probably because a lot of them are a lot more experienced than the Holo girls. Niji livers frequently participate in the VCR gta events after all, unlike the Holo girls that don’t normally participate in those (except for a few like Towa, Aki, Matsuri, and La+).
On the other hand, the HoloGTA was filled with a lot of inexperienced rp players which is probably why it’s a lot more chaotic and freestyle. But hopefully they’ll do another one because it was so much fun to watch.
