Can you do without the Beam or is it compulsory?
@@Thepclova1 You can do without Beam. BUT. It's annoying because the screen follows your head all the time. So get it without it, if it's annoying, then buy Beam.

@@Edge93l can’t connect beam to Mac. Mac can be connected right away. No delay but not as smooth as bean stand alone.

Just tested this myself (i have two eyes) and my mother tested it as well. She only has one good eye.
It does work, just not as well.
I personally wouldnt get it if I only had one eye.
I really want these AR Glasses sooo much but, I can't quite get to forking out $450 USD for them. 😩 Quest 3 will be my daily driver for now but, AR Glasses will be my next product.

I actually own these glasses, and I really do enjoy them, but who cares about that. What people should care about is that there has to be 1,000 reviews of the XREAL glasses, but this is the best, most entertaing, and accurate review ever! Keep going. Keep pushing.
what about the edges? someone says they are blurry and u can't read the text in the edges. what's your opinion about that?
@@mohamedatifi566 It depends on the distance you choose for the screen display. I had the same issue until I extended it slightly back more and everything was far more clear.

It’s only 1080p and about 45 degrees viewing angle tho.
@@wienster123 I bought them but the blurry edges got to me. Returned... unfortunately. But just ordered the Viture Pros (2nd gen). 1080p is fine. It's really about not having to lug a 100" tv into your living room to get the same experience. Viewing angle? They're glasses... You dont take them off to view them from an angle... you put them on knowing that the viewing angle is the same as a line perpendicularly intersecting a virual 2D surface.
@@suberizedwrx main issue for me is productivity, I have 4x 4k screens and I use every inch of it. So being unable to glance at a second screen or even the edges of a screen smaller than 2160p (even a single screen) is just hard for work purposes
The tech review/vlog style of your videos are refreshing, informative, and super entertaining
Sometimes, they lag while playing games. I used mine every day for the first month or 2. Now, I only use them while traveling. I recently flew Frontier from phx to msp (3.5 bours). As many know, Frontier seats have very little room for even holding a phone in front of you. I put my AR glasses on and watched a movie. If you travel often these are great. You will not use them at home after the honeymoon period as much as you would think.
Do you not use them at home because of discomfort or just annoyance for having something on your face vs just using a screen?
How is the resolution? Can you see text clearly if you’re working?

I just ordered mine, your video got me pumped!
Another huge reason to get one is for drones. Either recreational or professional pilots or for travel vloggers. You can basically get the VR experience which costs a lot and requires a 2nd person to legally fly it since you can’t physically see your drone with a vr headset you need a spotter. But with AR glasses 👓 that are see through you can get the vr experience of fpv but still see the drone to legally fly it by yourself

I was on the fence about these but now I really want them 😂 I remember as a kid they had tv glasses that let you watch OTA TV shows on them, but they were mad expensive. This is like a childhood dream come true for a price that's not outrageous

Loved this review and it's so tempting. However the most common complaint, enough to hesitate, was the blurriness around the edges. Was wondering if you encountered that issue or does using it with the Beam eliminate it? Cause I came across another review mentioning the issue but said it could be solved with the Beam.

I bought these before. And I really wanted to like them but they just weren't for me. Fov is just too small for my eyes to wear comfortablely. They got no ipd adjustment so the way u adjust it is how close or far u put them from your eyes. If i wear them at a distance that is comfortable for my eyes where it doesn't cause strain, part of the screen would always be out of sight. I would have to wear them really close to my eye to where my eyelash would swipe against the glass when i blink in order to see all part of the screen. When i wear it that close however it would cause eye strain because it feel like both my eye are always looking a bit inward. They say its 300in but they feel more like 24in monitor at 3-4 feet away. I wish they come out with a version with bigger fov, one that cover maybe the entire lens or something. Despite really liking the concept, i had to return them.

Whats even crazier, is that when you use the glasses with Samsung it switches to DEX mode and blows your mind further.
I just received a pair of these with the beam pro, they are awesome. This is the most uplifting review of them I have seen.

I think with beam you can move the screen. If you use it direct to phone, its blury. I like checking mail and watch movies. Its amazing when traveling.

I would have liked a little more information on functional work with them. Stated resolution is 1920x1080 but I suspect with multiple monitors in body-sensing position you're losing a lot of that. I also worry about eyestrain, weight, warmth, etc when using them for a longer period of time.

I have always liked games that use a full keyboard and a trackball mouse. Controllers do not have enough keys. Cell phones have even less keys and much closer keys. This product fixes only one of the problems of portable communication. Great start!
