    Would be just as cheap and way easier to use body filler. Epoxy dries way harder and it doesn't stand up against vibration or sunlight and paint doesn't like to adhere to it. May last a few months before paint starts to flake off of it.

      thankfully it doesn't come off, paint still in good condition, like you said, maybe it's better to add epoxy filler to add additional strength and make it more smooth

      @@KazemitoHaruhi actually you were right using the epoxy. its plastic so body fillers would crack on bendable plastic fillers are intended for metal. I'd suggest do a vibration test on the plastic with an epoxy and body filler. The comment starter would be very surprised on which will crack first.

      If it's not too deep, you can try sandpaper it from 100 to 5000, and maybe adding some epoxy filler or something similar

    What grit is the sand pa-er?

    • @KazemitoHaruhi
      @KazemitoHaruhi  3 месяца назад +1

      From 200 grit to 1000 I use 200 300 500 and 1000, 1000 should be enough for polishing the epoxy primer spray paint, then clean before applying paint.
      Use the rough one and slowly change to smooth one with water to smooth up epoxy glue then apply primer spray, after that you can sandpaper it before applying paint.

    What's your process of painting the fairings?

    • @KazemitoHaruhi
      @KazemitoHaruhi  4 года назад

      sand paper first (usually people use rough one maybe 230 grit)
      then apply epoxy paint
      sand again with 1000 grit or more sandpaper
      if you want to apply more epoxy paint, sand it again
      (patient needed on this steps)
      paint first layer of your favorite paint (don't too think, just light spray) wait until dry
      paint 2nd layer (light spray again) wait until dry
      paint 3rd layer (light spray( wait until dry
      repeat again and again until you happy with the results.

    do i need to reinforce it w/ a fiberglass?

    • @KazemitoHaruhi
      @KazemitoHaruhi  5 лет назад

      You doesn't need to add fiberglass, because epoxy will be hard, but it's optional if you want

    If can't speak english try to do your language 😒😒

      @KazemitoHaruhi  5 лет назад +7

      If I cannot speak English why do I use English? I just can't speak it flawlessly and grammar issues, but not all will complain about it. Even in my country doesn't care about grammar especially for non local people.
