The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw), is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist: Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash. I'm sorry for my bad English!

To me it"s not just his vocal ability. He actually has some kind of wonderful empathic gift to make you feel the music. It's heart.. It's soul. It's that elusive breath that is God given. I don't know. Some can sing a good song. But Dimash somehow can make you react physically and emotionally. Feel the song. He's a wonder.
It’s funny you say “God given”, since Dimash’s last name “Kudaibergen” literally translates as “God gave” (Kudai bergen) from Kazakh 😅

The reason this downward run is so hard (apart from just having belted for so many seconds on a freakin' C5-D5-E5 --> Bb5) is that it's a pentatonic run, so its harmony is way too hard as it's not on the normal minor scale that the song transposes to. I've tried to replicate it (one octave lower) and I can't at this speed. It's sooooooooo hard!!!
I would recommend putting "Ogni Pietra" from Arnau in your agenda for a future Dimash reaction. It's one of Dimash's best performances ever, in my opinion!

God blessed Dimash with longer vocal chords than normal human. That's one of the reason why he can hit those super high note effortlessly.

I love your reactions because you guys are great singers in your own right, and you are still fans of Dimash, and appreciate him even more as you, more than non-singers, know how difficult the stuff that he does with his voice and his breath! At the end of the video, when they are showing the audience, you can see a bald headed guy standing up to clap. This man is Igor Krutoy who is a world famous and highly decorated Russian composer and songwriter. As you continue to watch Dimash videos, you are going to see him on piano playing with Dimash. From my understanding, Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs and perform with Dimash. Several others have suggested watching Ogni Pietra....which was written by Igor Krutoy especially for Dimash. Another song is called "Passione," also written by Krutoy especially for Dimash. I think you guys did react to Dimash singing one of Igor's songs called "Love is like a dream." Anyway, this guy is writing epic, incredible songs for Dimash that takes full advantage of his incredible talents. Hope to see you react to more Dimash soon.
