You have a great look and feel for your video. Your instruction is great too. Andrew, the guy with the channel called TheWildNorth, did this for about 6 years and now he's in a tv series called "Trapped" and has gone all big time. He's a nice guy humble and nice to his audience and treats us like we are his friends. You have the same nack for doing that. Good luck
Great video and this will help lots. Bobcat trapping starts in Minnesota tomorrow and I'm gonna try it for my first time. Had a bobcat run right under my deer stand during rifle season and he's got trails all over. Hope to get me one soon.
MY GRANDFATHER trapped in the 30's and 40's to make money to feed a family.I'm interested in the how why and where, aspects,,trying to get a better understanding of who he was and how he lived
6th Gen Alaskan here. GG Grandfather homesteaded Nancy lake before the gold rush as a trapper. There is no subsisting reason for you to trap or snare these animals. Your only going after their pelts for money which you obviously don't need because of the RUclips channel you are on.Your actions are one of a coward. Come up here and go out for caribou on horseback with a recurve. Then you can call yourself a hunter. Has no one ever taught you to track your kill? or what the reasons for hunting should be?
+Tyler Carlson Well where do I even start with a clueless comment like this one. First of all it is hard to believe that you are an Alaskan much less a descendant of a trapper since you lack even a basic understanding of the role of trapping in wildlife management, population and disease control, and in the importance of income from furs to rural people like myself. So let's just assume you are a liar about your ancestry. As for your other comments, why would I bother to use a horse to hunt with a recurve? I have killed both bears and deer with a recurve without the use of a horse. Caribou is on my list, too. So shut down your computer once in a while and get outdoors and learn a little bit about the wild animals and conservation of them.
He says he is 6th generation Alaskan....most Europeans made it there around 1900, which is about two generations ago. Maybe he is a Viking and his ancestors arrived in a dragon ship...
