Nice video. I loved Knots Landing too and still play the intro music every now and then. My favorite is the one from season 6. It brings me back to those days where I would count the minutes for the next episode. I would literally have dreams that I was invited to the set to meet the actors and view how they filmed. I actually met Michelle Lee at the Beverly Hilton and gave me her autograph in 1986 at the height of the show. Total thrill of my life to meet her. Of course, I also have been dying to meet one day Donna Mills or any of the others. I would watch KL all over again if they ran the episodes again. My boyfriend and I were hooked on that show too. Cheers.
I remember watching Knots Landing back in the day. The cul de sac was Seaview Circle on the show. It's been 30 years since the series went off the air, and one of many prime time soap operas that aired. Dallas was the one to bring back the genre.
I was a kid when the show first aired and I'd never seen aerial photography before. Blew my mind. I became completely obsessed with the title sequence and was devastated when they were changed in season three. Promised myself I'd visit someday. You boys beat me to it!
Dude! I wasn't exactly a kid, I was a teenager, but I'm like you: That opening sequence got into my head and became a part of me. This was way before we ever had a VCR- I actually took pictures of that aerial shot of the cul de sac from the closing credits off the tv screen with a Polaroid instant camera. Then I used them as references to draw a picture of the overhead shot of the cul de sac. I too was bummed when the sequence was changed for season three. I'm still not sure why I dug that opening sequence so much but man, it was the bomb. The opening titles are credited to a Wayne Fitzgerald, so I guess he's the man.
The actual residents there must get so tired of this bullshit. Though I must admit if I was there and I was drunk I'd probably run up to one of the houses, ring the bell and ask if Karen or Mack was home.
Love that show too. I wish it were on Netflix or Hulu. Thanks for sharing.

I loved their homes. They were amazing.
I'll never get over the scene where Val finally gets the twins back & the couple says goodbye.
That truly was an iconic scene for the series.

Great to see you make the trip,, I’m based in the U.K. and loved the show,, visited the cul-de-sac twice in 2003 and 2011, worth the 11 hour flight!

I visited the cul-de-sac in 1996 shortly after the series had gone off the air. Was a cool trip to visit "SeaView Circle".

Thanks for sharing!
I remember when Poor Val tossed all of Gary's clothes from the balcony because she thought he was sleeping with Anne Matheson!
You all think that Valene can't handle it! Well I'm here to tell you she can!
knots Landing needs a reboot on cbs
Do the real owners ever come out and say hello? It must be so surreal living there if you were a fan of the show.
Love it!
