Thanks Josh and Stephen for participating in this video. I love how all three of you made clear about what you really wanted yet can give props to what worked in the others. I make a breakfast burrito for every morning. I actually make about six of them at one time and have them ready to thaw from the freezer. While I like a basic sausage, cheese, and egg on an English muffin I think it would be great to add an onion-bacon jam spread to the English muffin. Thanks again for highlighting my favourite meal - breakfast. ps: thanks to your cinematographer for getting great close ups and lighting.
Nice work guys! Adam, another great vid and experience shared. Stephen is one of my fave creators on RUclips. His holiday stuffing recipe is the best I have ever made and is enjoyed by all I share it with. Keep up the great work!
You should make a series where you make your best individually inspired version of each dish that you’ve had RUclips chefs make. Love seeing the beautiful Frankenstein hybrid of dishes you make from other creators. Really would love to see how you would make each one based on your palette! Great video as always. Love from SD ❤
Great vid, you guys ate my two favs in town and articulated the reasons why I think they rule: Allez - max flavor, sweet/spicy jam, perfect custard texture. When they use ramps for the jam in spring, that’s tasty too. Loaf lounge - RUNNY FRIED EGG, perfect muffin, well seasoned sausage paddy, regular American cheese. Nice shots and editing! Good chemistry between you three.
this should have way more views, the quality of production, the commentating, the showcased breakfast idea, and the guests is great, im waiting for you to really blow up and hit 1m subs
Oh my gosh!! My favorite episode by far!!! I love the 3 of you together!! Bacon 🥓 🥚 egg and cheese 🧀 on an evening bagel is my go to!! These are new places to me thank you so much!! Maybe do another episode w/ these guys again!!
Please do this series again but with up and coming/pop up spots! There are so many more amazing breakfast sandwiches in the city than the most popular spots folks already know about. Gotta try Zelda's Sandwich Joint and Chubby Boys
I personally like it. You get different opposing views from people that are really good at their craft and know what they like. It reminds me of Gordon Ramsay and Gino D'Acampo. It's just unfortunate that Adam is caught in-between for our entertainment lol
You got the quintessential Chicago guy, the quintessential New York guy and the quintessential internet food guy exploring the breakfast underbelly of the beautiful city of Chicago.
Missed the sausage egg and cheese biscuit at Bang Bang in Logan Square. I want to move back to Chicago for that sandwich (and for many other reasons, Chicago rules)
@Adam Witt you have to do either a part two or a Latino food edition. In my opinion Bia’s Marianao is the best in the business. They have the best steak and ham/egg sandwich. The name Marianao has been around for over 30 years
Adam I've been hooked on your channel. You guys need to do chicagoland area breakfast joints! I would love to be part of them! I love love love breakfast more than any other food and there are some amazing places like Bryan Mawr that you should checkout.
I know it's a Lent sorta thing, but give me a nice Roasted Pepper & Egg sammich any day of the week. On a potato roll, French baguette, or between two slices of Texas Toast, you can't go wrong with peppers and eggs. I like mine with either Mayo, or on occasion a little ... (I know it's sacrilege) ... Miracle Whip! Don't judge me; I just like the little bit of sweetness that Miracle Whip brings to the party. Some melted cheese on top is also nice every once in awhile, but I don't like the cheese cooked in with the eggs. Also important for me is that the eggs are scrambled soft. I hate dry, overcooked scrambled eggs, and prefer them a bit on the sloppy side.
I live in So Il close to STL. I used to work for a railroad we stayed in the south suburbs. Gabe’s place in Glenwood is one of my favorite places to get breakfast.
Try the Billy Goat (original) for breakfast. My favorite for decades. Great price, less hipster-ish and all made to order. Not as good since they switched out the kaiser rolls, but still the best deal off Michigan Avenue.
I agree with Josh about bagel sandwiches. I love bagels, but they need to be eaten as bagels not as sandwiches. I prefer any sandwich to have a softer bread for exactly the reason Josh described. You need to be able to actually eat the sandwich, no matter how good the bread tastes
Also, Tribecca’s sandwich is much better with bacon over the sausage. Also would have solved the concern about being too dry cause the bacon adds more grease there.
The reason we don't put ketchup on a Chicago hotdog is because then you're only tasting ketchup. Honestly, we don't care what you put on the hotdog, but we will silently be judging you. I also agree about bagel sandwiches. If it's a nice chewy bagel, it's going to be too stiff for a typical sandwich.
f*ck, I love my city! Thanks for pointing out all these spots I wasn't aware of. There are THOUSANDS of restaurants in Chicago, there's no way to try em all. Videos like this take the leg work out of it.
Anyone who comes to Chicano needs to realize these dudes stayed within a very small part of this beautiful city. West and north where all the yuppy people are. There’s so much more if you branch out of the wicker and Humboldt park neighborhoods.
Italian sausage with the fennel, and you liked it? One of the great things about Chicago is that they DON'T put fennel in Italian sausage because it's a massively overpowering flavor.
Tri-Becca’s didn’t live up to the hype for me. Go a mile west down Belmont to Moonwalker Cafe and get any of their breakfast sandwiches. It’s my neighborhood go-to and it never disappoints.
Josh is a disgusting eater. This was too much fun, let's do it again.
Do it in NY! I hear y'all have the best breakfast sandwiches!
I really am
for me fried egg, cheese, hashbrown and porkroll
can you tell where im from! lol
@@d.mat.zero6525 New Jersey?
You should literally do one for each of your hometowns and then compare the top three from each! Would love to see it!
Never Skip Egg Day!
Best meal of the day! Who am I kidding? Breakfast can be eaten whenever and wherever. ❤️🔥
Can we take a second to appreciate that insanely captivating intro? Give your flowers while planting your own that was awesome
Agree :)

Adam's out here assembling the foodie Avengers lmao

Great collab! Thanks Adam, Josh, and Stephen!
The true Chicago GOAT is the capicola breakfast sandwich from Loaf Lounge. Best I've ever had hands down.
Great video. You guys should do more stuff together, your personalities compliment each other well.
Fantastic. Stephen's turkey & gravy recipe and your stuffing made my Thanksgiving last year. Cant wait to do it again this year.
I cant recall another time in my life where i was so stoked to watch three dudes eat a bunch of breakfast sandwiches.

Love it! I dig the chemistry between you three. Great vid, and I hope the three of you can get together to do more.

While the interior just feels like a ghost kitchen, I do enjoy the Eggtuck sandwich
Oh my gosh!! My favorite episode by far!!! I love the 3 of you together!! Bacon 🥓 🥚 egg and cheese 🧀 on an evening bagel is my go to!! These are new places to me thank you so much!!
Maybe do another episode w/ these guys again!!
Hey Adam, love your videos. You’re awesome brother!
The trio I didn’t know I needed! Great video guys!
Breakfast sando for me. Biscuit, fried egg, American cheese, hot sausage patty, bacon and jelly.
Great vid. Good colab. Do more like this!
Please do this series again but with up and coming/pop up spots! There are so many more amazing breakfast sandwiches in the city than the most popular spots folks already know about. Gotta try Zelda's Sandwich Joint and Chubby Boys
Eleven City Diner, Steingold’s, Eggs with Benefits, and Smack Dab would’ve been great additions to this list. I like Loaf Lounge and Allez too.
You gotta try the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich from Doma Cafe! (get extra hot sauce on the side too)
So seriously, were Josh and Stephen just bickering all day long? Adam seemed a wee bit annoyed toward the end there! Lol
I personally like it. You get different opposing views from people that are really good at their craft and know what they like. It reminds me of Gordon Ramsay and Gino D'Acampo. It's just unfortunate that Adam is caught in-between for our entertainment lol
Thats how we do. We constantly bicker. Adam loved every second of it.
I didn't get that vibe at all? I'd love to see the three of them make more videos together.
I need their bickering to get through the day.
Apparently u don’t understand banter, u must be real fun to be around
You got the quintessential Chicago guy, the quintessential New York guy and the quintessential internet food guy exploring the breakfast underbelly of the beautiful city of Chicago.
“Listen to this” “I hear nothing” 😂
Adam, Steve is one of my favorite FoodTubers.
Nice Guy Food Company (the former Biscuit Man) - must addition to the elite group
"Everyone loves breakfast, we all know that"
Me who doesn't touch food until 12NN: Yeah, I totally agree. I so relate
Great show, I've only had loaf lounge and it's so so tasty
That was AWESOME!!!!
😎👍🏻👍🏻
Nice Guy Food Co at Long Room on select days have great simple sandwiches. Doma is pretty good too. Hope to see them in a party 2 lol
Adam if you do a Chicago Burger vid please go to fav spot Old Irving Brewery and get the wings too!
This was a fun video to watch.
Missed the sausage egg and cheese biscuit at Bang Bang in Logan Square. I want to move back to Chicago for that sandwich (and for many other reasons, Chicago rules)
The buttermilk biscuit is the superior vehicle for a breakfast sandwich. Down here in the south it's the gold standard.
3 hot talented chefs on a breakfast sando mission. What's not to love? 😍
@Adam Witt you have to do either a part two or a Latino food edition. In my opinion Bia’s Marianao is the best in the business. They have the best steak and ham/egg sandwich. The name Marianao has been around for over 30 years
ALLEZ all day! 👏🏽
Really love food in Chicago
Jason’s Sandro is WILD

I never thought about putting mayo on a breakfast sandwich. Maybe hot sauce, but mostly use the egg yolk as a sauce.
If I'm dropping $10+ on a breakfast sandwich it better be freakin' orgasmicly delicious. Two of those were just hipster Mcmuffins.
Allez is top tier!!
I've heard good things about Smack Dab on Clark Street, situated virtually next door to that other paragon of culinary excellence, McDonalds.
From with Chitown with love!
MOONWALKER CAFE! It’s got a lot of great breakfast sandwiches.
Nice video. There are not many guys rating breakfast sandos on youtube but I guess since they are north of $10 now, it is fair game.
Damn they all looked good to me!! I'm from Maryland though, so no strong enough opinion as NY or Chicago 😅 I'm basically Switzerland!! 😅
Check out Cupitol’s bacon egg and cheese croissant. Not complicated but it’s perfect
The Custer Egg is weird to me but I’m from New England so… i like the over easy runny egg 😮
Chicago Secret Burger breakfast sandwich is the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. Allez is #2.
>Says "travel across Chicago"
>Doesn't leave the north side
Don't forget your folks south of the loop :)
Bagel Miller!
Need an update with Ahuevo and Chubby Boys!
You guys should try this cuban breakfast spot called Cafeteria Marianao in chicago the best steak sandwiches
Try the Billy Goat (original) for breakfast. My favorite for decades. Great price, less hipster-ish and all made to order. Not as good since they switched out the kaiser rolls, but still the best deal off Michigan Avenue.
Smashburger style sausage patty with smoked gouda hash browns on a English muffin
man, im a huge bagel sandwich fan, i would have taken them to hero and CBA
I agree with Josh about bagel sandwiches. I love bagels, but they need to be eaten as bagels not as sandwiches. I prefer any sandwich to have a softer bread for exactly the reason Josh described. You need to be able to actually eat the sandwich, no matter how good the bread tastes
Damn. Only five spaces? Smack Dab is a missed opportunity.
My preferred vessel 🧐
no breakfast sandwich on a burger bun should have even been allowed lol
I live dangerously close to allez and I have to stop myself from going there everyday for breakfast
yall missed CBA and Egg Tuck - absolutely killer spots in LP/Lakeview
Chicago Bagel Authority steams their bagels which makes the bagel sitch work for the sandwich
You missed Chubby Boy’s breakfast sandwich at Drip Collective
How about Doma Cafe's breakfast sandwich?
Thoughts on Chicago Bagel Authority?
About cream cheese have you ever tried a Seattle Dog? It's a revelation.
All of these looked subpar as hell with that square ass spongy egg.
go to egg tucked from la now in chicago area!!!!!!!
Kasama next question 0:08
Also, Tribecca’s sandwich is much better with bacon over the sausage. Also would have solved the concern about being too dry cause the bacon adds more grease there.
Why hasn’t anyone rated Spinnin’ J’s breakfast sandwich?!
Is that Mahalia Jackson on Steven's t-shirt?🎉
I hear PERILLA steakhouse has a mean breakfast sandwich 😉
Wouldn’t walk around the south side with that A’s hat
I agree with Josh...bagel is not a good vehicle for breakfast sandwiches. Everything swuirts out. Brioche is the best bread for a breakfast sandwich.
The reason we don't put ketchup on a Chicago hotdog is because then you're only tasting ketchup. Honestly, we don't care what you put on the hotdog, but we will silently be judging you.

Next time make a breakfast sandwich with a crumpet, not an English muffin. They are fluffier, heartier, have more nooks and crannies.
I noticed you ate R&A at Bean and Bagel. Was B&B closed?
Actually a NY Kaiser roll is the best vehicle for a sando
Used to get the best breakfast sandwiches at dark horse bakery before it closed in Naperville. It was ridiculous.
Ancient Grounds’ Becky Egg and Cheese all the way.
Anyone who comes to Chicano needs to realize these dudes stayed within a very small part of this beautiful city. West and north where all the yuppy people are. There’s so much more if you branch out of the wicker and Humboldt park neighborhoods.
Doma!
MAYO ON A BREAKFAST SANDWICH?
Italian sausage with the fennel, and you liked it? One of the great things about Chicago is that they DON'T put fennel in Italian sausage because it's a massively overpowering flavor.

You forgot Ferros pepper and egg sandwich
An uniformed, bold attitude versus a loud opinionated one. Sounds like Chi v. NY 100%. Love you Steven!
Way too many microwaved eggs
I'm hungry
that $13 sando better have come with hash brown and drink. if not im gonna need a mouth hug or a rub and tug.
Can you have you tried the sandwich by the Chubby Boys served at Drip Collective? Thoughts if you have?
The Plan is a good sandwich
