Lemonade was an album that only stuck with Beyonce's fans, not one song from that album reached the level of the songs from Adele's album. Adele totally deserved that album. The overall quality of Beyonce's albums is not that good. One or two songs maybe, but she never managed to make an entire album that became a masterpiece. Adele did it. Taylor did it.

Saying it’s messed up that Beyoncé hasn’t won an album of the year award yet, and then saying “some of you don’t belong in that category” is such an underhanded jab at Taylor Swift. I think Beyoncé is an extremely strong singer, much stronger than Taylor, but Taylor is famous for her poetic lyrics and storytelling, not her voice, which I think is what makes her albums stronger and more impactful as a whole, rather than just one or two songs on the album. She also worked hard to get to where she is, putting up with a lot of misogyny from such a young age, and she got there without putting other women down. She is the first to stand up and congratulate the winner even when she loses to them. Taylor is perfectly happy to share the spotlight and success with other talented artists, why can’t you support your peers rather than tear them down?

I wasn't convinced until I listen to it, take all the artistry, appreciate the hardwork they put it in the creatives and visuals cuz it tops everything and everyone who release album that year for real, and seen Bey performed few of her songs from the album in VMA. Couldn’t name a single Taylor Swift song if my life depended on it, but it seems to me the more shade and criticism she gets, the richer and more successful she becomes. Love Beyoncé’s singles and she is incredible as a performer, but I’ve never enjoyed an entire album she’s put out. Back in the CD buying days, I felt i annoyed I paid $20 for maybe 2 good songs and the rest were disappointing. I mean, despite that she has 32 Grammies and that’s still not enough?? Seems petty at this point of breaking records and astronomical success.
I’ll admit, I am a Swiftie, but I do think one of the reasons she has continued to be more and more successful over the years despite numerous setbacks, is that she is a smart businesswoman. She is able to turn anything into a gain for her. Her first six albums were sold without her consent, she makes a ton of publicity and money re-recording all of those albums, releasing new songs with them. Stuck at home during the pandemic? She wrote two albums. Couldn’t tour for three albums during the pandemic? The Eras tour. Some guy breaks her heart? She makes a 10 minute song and 14 minute short film about it and wins countless awards for them. Love her music or hate it, she knows how to turn negatives into success.

When Will Smith slapped Chris Rock across the face there was an uproar and he was banned from future award ceremonies for many years to come, but when Kanye and Jay-Z verbally smack a white female at an awards ceremony -- Taylor Swift has had to endure this twice now -- it's not only ok, it's even applauded by some. Jay-Z could work behind the scenes to see if he can help bring about whatever changes he believes are needed. But to slam the artist who won by inferring she shouldn't have won and that instead his wife should have won at the very ceremony where Taylor received the award is absolutely not ok. The Renaissance Album was outstanding. I wasn't even following Beyonce but that Album surely got my attention. The tour around the world motivated many people. Every song on that Renaissance Album was a hit. With Beyonce giving it her all, it did seem that this would be her year for Album of the Year

Saying it’s messed up that Beyoncé hasn’t won an album of the year award yet, and then saying “some of you don’t belong in that category” is such an underhanded jab at Taylor Swift. I think Beyoncé is an extremely strong singer, much stronger than Taylor, but Taylor is famous for her poetic lyrics and storytelling, not her voice, which I think is what makes her albums stronger and more impactful as a whole, rather than just one or two songs on the album. She also worked hard to get to where she is, putting up with a lot of misogyny from such a young age, and she got there without putting other women down. She is the first to stand up and congratulate the winner even when she loses to them. Taylor is perfectly happy to share the spotlight and success with other talented artists, why can’t you support your peers rather than tear them down?

Couldn’t name a single Taylor Swift song if my life depended on it, but it seems to me the more shade and criticism she gets, the richer and more successful she becomes. Her first six albums were sold without her consent, she makes a ton of publicity and money re-recording all of those albums, releasing new songs with them. Stuck at home during the pandemic? She wrote two albums. Couldn’t tour for three albums during the pandemic? The Eras tour. Some guy breaks her heart? She makes a 10 minute song and 14 minute short film about it and wins countless awards for them. Love her music or hate it, she knows how to turn negatives into success.

When Will Smith slapped Chris Rock across the face there was an uproar and he was banned from future award ceremonies for many years to come, but when Kanye and Jay-Z verbally smack a white female at an awards ceremony -- Taylor Swift has had to endure this twice now -- it's not only ok, it's even applauded by some. Jay-Z could work behind the scenes to see if he can help bring about whatever changes he believes are needed. But to slam the artist who won by inferring she shouldn't have won and that instead his wife should have won at the very ceremony where Taylor received the award is absolutely not ok. And for him to excuse himself by saying when he's nervous he tells the truth is nothing but an admission that he has no concept of social grace, humility, gratitude, and compassion and no sense of self-control. Self-centered doesn't begin to describe this man. And he's modeling atrociously bad, entitled behavior in front of his daughter.

Other than this Jay Z moment, I enjoyed it. I think it was worth watching just to see Tracy Chapman with Luke Combs. She is so crazy talented. The Billy Joel performance too.
The Renaissance Album was outstanding. I wasn't even following Beyonce but that Album surely got my attention. The tour around the world motivated many people. Every song on that Renaissance Album was a hit. With Beyonce giving it her all, it did seem that this would be her year for Album of the Year
