So happy that you have posted another video. You are definitely the most humourous, informative and watchable of all the opalists that I have seen. It always seems like such a long time between your posts. I would like to tell you that I have finally got my first opals. I bought them from an Australian woman on Facebook. I originally bought a chunk of white crystal opal that was crazed, thus only 70 Australian dollars. Anyway, to cut a long story short, that shattered when she was packing it. So she got in touch with me and offered me an alternative. She also added a piece for my partner who had just died and an extra for me. Eventually I received what you see in the pictures. I think that for £50 which included postage and packing I got a real bargain. Whatever, they mean the absolute world to me, and that's what really matters. By the way, having seen your latest post, I first got really interested in opal through watching your videos. Thank you Colonel.
Always will watch your next video, I mean I get to watch beautiful opal, listen to the creation of arrowheads and last but far from least, I get to see the antics of the ginger army! Thank you for all that you do
When I was a kid in the 60s, my brother and I would head out to scour the shores of Lake Winnepesaukee and Lake Wentworth in New Hampshire with a specific desire to find native American arrow heads. The amazing thing is that we would find perfectly shaped flint arrowheads, usually in knee deep shallows of the lakes! I am loathe to suspect him, but I think my brother absconded with the whole collection when I went to college.
Ok, the mosaic is a cool piece! I've been looking at this pile of chips I have & wondering. I couldn't bring myself to toss them, they are tiny but still so pretty. I'm still so green to this world but I imagined there was something I could maybe one day do with them. I bought the opal cutting book by P. Downing two weeks ago! But still waiting for it though😟 but I'm glad I got the good book. I love watching your videos, as a beginner on my opal obsession you have been a gem of knowledge 😉 Thanks for my morning opal fix & kitties!
I’m so happy you posted! You make me laugh so much! The black Opal arrow head looks super slick and I really like how it has just a small flash of color. The mosaic bracelet also turned out very nice, and I really related to how you learned about Opal, ever since I was in kindergarten I have borrowed books from the library about rocks and minerals, reading books is one of the best ways to learn about anything. Great video! I’ll probably watch it another 4 or 5 times until you post again lol
I adore your Paco & Touchy clips almost as much as I enjoy the opal info cutting polishing and setting. Would really enjoy watching your videos uncensored😁
Last month i kudnt spel opil marsta, Now i are one!!😀😀🙃🙃 great to see you back my friend and I'm chuffed to have learned the Opal Mosaic method tonight right here..

G’day to Sheila Paco Touchy & your beautiful significant other half, With many source blessings with truth clarity love light laughter happiness joy fun play creativity adventures abundance wisdom wealth and may peace be with you all! Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 xox
Bravo Colonel. Wild experience the mosaic thing, and Riley as always comes in to save the day, gotta love that man. Another banger of a video, the cats are looking great.
Woohoo! Woke up this morning with notification for a Pulitzer opal video!! Watched it then and there!! Great way to start the day!! 😁 Missed your videos and your cats! 😆 Awesome mosaic project!! Always enjoyable!!
I've always been a rock hound since birth I think, Crystals cool looking rocks fossils and now I discovered opal… Through you. I had a couple pieces that I thought were pure opal that I found in Washington state and they were beautiful when I found them but they faded out in the sun. I think they were just opalized...But when I went looking for answers online… I found you! And you are an awesome teacher! Although I know you get most your information from Sheila! Have an awesome day hon, Deb 😁💙💙
I LOVE this!! I have watches but hate keeping time and I have an old one with diamonds. I do play with epoxy (countertops and floors) and seriously can't think of a better use of a watch!!! Thank you I will practice on some old icky ones first. Excited to find something I might actually be able to do myself! 🥰
Love the mosaic absolutely stunning, keep the great content coming always great to watch you cut Opal and the comedy 👏🏻 there’s something magical about Opal I love it
Also. That mosaic... WoW. I really really really would like to see more mosaic videos. I think that's one thing you can explore more. Not to mention the fact with your flakes you have from the chips!
Thank you Colonel! I think I might be brave enough to try my hand at making a mosaic with all these chips I have stashed away now. Yours turned out great! Also, I always love seeing the arrowheads being created. I am NOT brave enough to try making one of those. Keep up the great work, I always look forward to your videos!
I live near an opal mine where you can dig your own. I went on a field trip in elementary school and came home with some big rocks. 15 years later I'm finally realizing that I have a fair amount of decent white opal!
The thread that connects fishing to opal cutting is the greater notion of "treasure hunting". People love treasure hunting in all its forms; fishing, antiquing, mining, diving to shipwrecks, coin and stamp collecting, opal cutting and many other endeavors and pastimes.
I love the idea! Gonna try it tonight with some chips I have. Was wanting to use them in a mosaic but couldn't come up with a idea. Thank you! love the humor.
I like how you did a trail run w blk epoxy for watch insert. I showed my wife paco she wants a cat now cause it looks like our old cat from college when we met over 20 years ago. She loved the watch also
Ok, as a former computer nut (from the days of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum and the Commodore 64), and an inquisitive old bat with a quirky sense of humour you've gained yourself a new sub.
Darned clever buggggar. I have a jar of opal bits and pieces and resin has interested me. That arrow head you made looks pretty cool, well done. And I'm thinking you might be a handsome buggar, like myself.
This is my favorite opal channel! You and Sheila make learning fun! (Don't tell that guy at B Opal Direct) I watch your videos a second time at 2x speed so you sound like a Wizard of Oz lollipop kid. There's that added premium.
Funny I have been planning on doing a mosaic and saw Riley make one last week!!😂😂 Then here you are doing one, such an awesome coincidence!!👍👍😁 Awesome opals as always!!😍😍
I haven't been watching your channel long, but I appreciate all the knowledge I have gained about opal. Great video as usual, looking forward to even more. 👍
Glad you liked the arrowheads, Chris! Opal's beauty is truly one of a kind. If you ever want to learn more about opals or have questions, feel free to ask. 🏹💎😊

We looked for you in Tucson this past month but we didn’t know what you looked like and we didn’t see Sheila either! We bought lots of small rocks at the Tucson gem shows, but we didn’t buy a Big, BIG rock. If we had, we would have been happy, LOL. Seriously though, we bought three boulder opals for pendants and bolo ties and they did make us happy. 😊
Just got hooked on gems a month ago and Opal is by far my favorite! I got a small piece of boulder Opal and made it into a necklace and now I’ve got the fever, going to a Opal gem show in 2 weeks! I WOULD LOVE TO RECEIVE ONE OF YOUR GIVE AWAYS!!!
The thumbnail drew me in but the giveaway has me commenting. I have been a subscriber and watcher for ... I don't know, many years, LOL I would sure enjoy that arrowhead!
We need you with ore without Books. Love your Humor and the Stones you showing us. Few Years ago i didnt know that i need an Opal😅. But you and Black Opal direct convinced me. Sry for my bad Englisch. I am from Austria 😋

You get great clips of your pets to throw in. They all seem to like each other, that's cool. My cats hate each other, but they like me so I'm cool with it.
Absolutely love your videos! I’m also a huge fan of Riley’s! I’ve been collecting all types of opal from him and I was actually lucky enough to win one of the Andamooka he got from you! If you ever run low on opal let me know! It sure would be great to share some with you!
Just as my Pulitzer Opal addiction starts to wain, or is that wax? you draw me back in, damn you dawg, lol, i really have been missing your handsome face but getting by on reruns, I'm pathetic but your arrowheads are amazing and your first mosaic is outstanding.
Thank you for your channel. I would love to have an opal arrowhead to add to my collection. I have 2 I found while I was gardening in my yard. I live in an area that was inhabited by the Lakota, Nakota, and Dakota tribes for hundreds of years, before Europeans arrived and stole it from them. While there are many (reservations) in the area, most of the people under 40 prefer to live in the cities and small towns where there are better jobs and educational opportunities.

Props to you for giving such genuine credit to Downing for writing great books on opal. If we use your work as testament. It is well founded.
