I had actually forgotten that I used to be identified with the voice in my head. I remember becoming aware of the voice and mental chatter and that was the most uncomfortable part. It was incessant and all over the place. I tried controlling my thoughts for a long time. This did not help and made me super frustrated. Hi Sandia. In hindsight I learned that personal suffering was truly the impetus for his spiritual journey, which he describes in a video that I think was titled "who is Sunny Sharma". Not long after I wrote the comment above, suffering pushed me to enroll in his formal program, which was life changing. My guess is that the ego rarely if ever diminishes or dies in comfort.

What a difference 24 hours makes. whoosh. Here again at this video. Allowed this teaching into experience, started crying. Will come back again and again if I have to. The "I" knows. The "me" version of "I" seems to have taken over the vison board. wow! Today is my 30th day of practicing this meditation. I am able to be aware of my consciousness for long seconds at a time. Funnily, the main thoughts or inner voice that arise while I'm meditating is the script of the guided meditation that I recall right before hearing it. I will go for another month using the guided meditation, from there I will just meditateby mysef
Today is my 60th consecutive day doing the meditation. I'm getting better. I'm able to easily find and be conscious of my awareness and the incoming thoughts and hold it for long seconds at a time. I barely go unconscious and follow my thoughts but when I do it's shortly and return to being aware. I'm going to continue using the guided meditation indefinitely, not sure when I will drop it and just do it alone. One fundamental doubt that I discovered is this: Are emotions focused on this awareness part of me? Are they outside "being" or is it possible to be aware and conscious and feel something? For example when Sunny Sharma says, fall in love with your awareness, I feel an emotion incorporated with me just being aware of everything, but I'm not sure if I should try to drop all feeling and emotions
@Mr Sirman hey, great question/insight. Think of emotion as an energy, not its own independent consciousness with an intention. Remember, we react to stimuli with some sort of energy, either by thought or re-action, both those things require energy, and that is the nature of emotion itself, that energy. How our mind is programed interprets that emotional energy subjectively, positively or negatively. In my experience, there are many types of emotional energies out there, enough for a field of study. Focusing on your question, love energy is the most complex/strongest energy. I think people mislabeled so many other emotions(i.e energy) as love, but in reality it isn't. I think the end goal of all spiritual seeking is the "merging" with the highest energy, which we can best describe as an endless GIVING stream of LOVE energy. So the key is we are merging with it, or more technically we are remembering our connection to it. So we are this independent consciousness that somewhere/sometime along its journey(this "life") forgot its source. Spiritual awakening is REMEMBERING what we forgot. So as we start silencing the mind/ego after "detaching " from the body, we are left with our awareness, which needs to remember its source. So your not really dropping anything, your end goal IS a feeling of love, but it's not an "emotion" as we commonly know it. It is a synergy of AWARNESS/LOVE. We just gotta remember. When he says to love your awarness... its really more about setting that intention of love IN awareness. Words are really not the best tool to express these concepts, but I really hope I helped.

Few months ago I had a call meeting with you I told you that I was practing meditation( I was still skeptical and pricastinating) ..I've been seeing a little shift inside myself outside still the same..but I know that I'm on the right path..I'm going to consistently do the 30 day (not gonna care ) challenging myself .. I come back after 30 days ..what ever I'm going to be in or at.

It’s clear that mind is a function of the universe that allows discernment to take place, where one can arrive at a place of realisation. If the true self “awareness” dose not experience anything, this means there is no suffering actually happening to anyone. One might say it is only the negative energy that is felt but that too is an experience. So if the true self can not experience anything, that infers that only the ego self can experience suffering, which is an illusion. If all apart from awareness is illusion, who is being helped by this practice?

The person, or the sense of "Me" is also just an appearance from Nothingness. This nothing is all there is, it's one universal energy that appears as a world, appears as a body, appears as thoughts and feelings. Everything is something which is nothing, form appearing from the formless. So really Sunny is suggesting Non-duality, which means there's always only ever Oneness, not two of anything.

My question is. I am looking for work which I need immediately as I am completely on my own. I’m having to think & use my mind all the time due to this so yes I’m anxious due to thinking how am I going to make it? How am I going to have food? It’s a vulnerable place as I must think as an adult & do all I can to make it plus I have a major surgery next month. I keep allowing my thoughts to pass in self awareness & embrace the resistance but then I have to think in order to survive. Yet. I trust at the same time. It’s a difficult situation and I am so so strong yet my energy is getting pulled two directions in trying to make it through. Watching your videos & doing the mediations is tremendous but I know there are tons of other people in similar circumstances. Thank you 🙏🏼

Watching this video no distractions, full attention. Body feels overwhelming very familiar chronic pain. No thoughts, if one does occur its ok. Body pain has no words, has sensation. Throb Throb Throb if it could talk. Unease Unease Unease....no thought except to write these words......Am I there? No. you are right. Pretty soon I'm expecting pain to dimmish enough so I can Think. ha ha thinking would be an improvement.

I don’t know if I’m having derealization or awakening. Sometimes I feel as if I’m living life being controlled by my desires and thoughts and often questioning who I really am
I often find myself stuck in my mind until I hear a click sound from my environment. Now these “click” sounds are appearing in videos. I heard it at 32:11, anyone else?
I find that when I'm meditating there is something that is always trying to attract my attention, I move from the present to being overcome by thoughts, it's like something is jealous and demanding, then I wake up again and become present, and that thing starts again,
Whenever I start to observe my thoughts, i find myself trying too hard to observe it. And i defeat the purpose. And I still am able to attach meaning to them. Like I am observing it but I feel like I'm still thinking them. And then I start to wonder while I'm meditating, what's the difference between thinking of thought and observing. I find my self trying too hard to just observe and not attach meaning but I can't. It feels as though since I know the language I'm thinking in, I'll obviously know the meaning. So how to force yourself to not attach meaning? Maybe this style of meditation is not for me. When I used to focus just on my breath, i would take a thought just as a thought, but in this style I can't. Cause there is nothing external I'm focussing on. I'm still focussed on my thoughts, still looking at them. Is the breathing style meditation correct way? Cause I've heard Sadhguru say meditation is about observing thoughts and not stopping them so don't do breathing and stuff. But I don't seem to enjoy this. Can I go with breathing style? Is it a right way or wrong way? Please help 🙏🏻
I see that you are true to the teachings and keep coming back to practice with you. An event rocked my boat pretty bad. I learned that my child’s fifth-grade teacher is a pedophile and got arrested after 10 years of committing “the” crime in the classroom that she might have attended class. In extreme crimes, from the victim's point of view, it is very hard to come to terms with letting go. It is not my child but it is a child a child of the universe who did not have to go through suffering. The world needs more of your essence 🙏💫🦋

I tried to trade forex and crypto on my own but had a big failure and in that process I lost funds of over $102,000. I don't know what the issue is.

Watching this video no distractions, full attention. Body feels overwhelming very familiar chronic pain. No thoughts, if one does occur its ok. Body pain has no words, has sensation. Throb Throb Throb if it could talk. Unease Unease Unease....no thought except to write these words......Am I there? No. you are right. Pretty soon I'm expecting pain to dimmish enough so I can Think. ha ha thinking would be an improvement.

I find that when I'm meditating there is something that is always trying to attract my attention, I move from the present to being overcome by thoughts, it's like something is jealous and demanding, then I wake up again and become present, and that thing starts again,

Whenever I start to observe my thoughts, i find myself trying too hard to observe it. And i defeat the purpose. And I still am able to attach meaning to them. Like I am observing it but I feel like I'm still thinking them. And then I start to wonder while I'm meditating, what's the difference between thinking of thought and observing. I find my self trying too hard to just observe and not attach meaning but I can't. It feels as though since I know the language I'm thinking in, I'll obviously know the meaning. So how to force yourself to not attach meaning? Maybe this style of meditation is not for me. When I used to focus just on my breath, i would take a thought just as a thought, but in this style I can't. Cause there is nothing external I'm focussing on. I'm still focussed on my thoughts, still looking at them. Is the breathing style meditation correct way? Cause I've heard Sadhguru say meditation is about observing thoughts and not stopping them so don't do breathing and stuff. But I don't seem to enjoy this. Can I go with breathing style? Is it a right way or wrong way? Please help 🙏🏻
You can go with breathing style, breathing style is fundamental, Vipassana (Budhha's method) is also based on breathing.
I see that you are true to the teachings and keep coming back to practice with you. An event rocked my boat pretty bad. I learned that my child’s fifth-grade teacher is a pedophile and got arrested after 10 years of committing “the” crime in the classroom that she might have attended class. In extreme crimes, from the victim's point of view, it is very hard to come to terms with letting go. It is not my child but it is a child a child of the universe who did not have to go through suffering. The world needs more of your essence 🙏💫🦋

On this moment i only hear repetated thoughts what ive learned from this video, so like ; you need become aware of awareness, im sitting meditation, yea Mike focus on the breath that is good, that is what ive learned. Im now watching those videos for 2 years and only hear those things what ive learned in my head. Any recommendation for this?
