oh wow this helps a lot, I didn't realise how much weight needed to be taken off the stopping leg until seeing that you should be able to lift it up completely. I think we're taught to keep it on the floor to form good habits overall but it means its harder to spot centre of mass problems

How do we avoid rolling our ankle when we put our unweighted leg down? Like now I glide my unweighted foot so it slides into the brake in front of me.
So my stop is too soft...at practice no one told me why I just kept rolling LOL I felt like an idiot. THANK YOU!

From what isee shift your body weight to one side, at the same your hips are coming down, extend the leg to cause friction
