@Kayakgamefisher thanks for the info.. i typically go 1-3 miles offshore... i currently paddle a Ocean Kayak Endeavor which is a revamp prowler 13... I looking for a faster and more stable platform... I really like the rod storage option for rough water landing as well as the rod pod....
@seemyshell Prowler is better in the open water as it handles chop and swell really well. It also cuts through the water better too. The Prowler is heavier though and harder to pull up the hill fully loaded. Over all I prefer the Prowler for the fishing I do.
I've been looking at this vid many times now, and I have to say that I'm sold. Been looking for a good yak to fish from and the only one that really really caught my attention until I say this yak, the 4.7 was the Hobie Adventure Island, but it's to expensive for my taste. But the Prowler ultra 4.7 seems to be a perfect platform. No I only have the difficult part left, finding a dealer that can import it for me, I live in Sweden and no-one has it.
@deez2glocksI don't know a lot about the Hobie Pro but I had the Hobie revolution (good kayak) but the prowler definitely cuts the water better and is more stable in big chopp. Depends on how far your going etc. I think the hobie pro is more suitable for calmer waters but speak with some one that has a hobie pro, they'll know better. I'm happy with the prowler though. Both good kayaks matter of choice really.
Awesome video Shep! I'd be scared to death though, the sharks near where I fish in Florida might not pass up such an easy target. Have you ever had a 20 foot white pointer or other fish of concern bother you?
@deez2glocks amd i say for the money because im not the type of person to spend over 2000 dollars on kayak! $2500 is crazy to me... hell even $1600 is expensive for the 4.7 but it is very versatile with the ice pod and rod pod tons of options for custimization, etc.
the first two fish were dead already, ive seen inexperiencd guys dump alot of tackle in the ocean, cant believe none of you (in aussie) have been seriously attacked yet? big nuts.

@strikebuttontv It's a ice box specifically made for the prowler 4,7 and the 4.3. They are made by ocean kayak as well.

if you have to chose between the 4.7 and the 4.3 wish one you prefer for offshore fishing about 15 to 25 miles out
Do you see salt water crocs where you fish? (I have no idea I'm not from Australia)
which old Hobie are you talking about...
I am in between Hobie pro angler and Ultra 4.7 I fish offshore. which would u recommend.....
Is that a custom built Eskimo coolbox or a standard model you found would fit?
