I’d like to see a pre unification-mad max-40K-style game. Mix in a little Gorka-Morka for good measure. Imagine how cool that would be, all the different barbarian tribes. Future upgrades could include Mars and then maybe the Jovian systems.
A thing often missed in these stories is the risks of psykers. Even for those trained well in the use of power, there remains the risk of becoming a gateway for the Neverborn. For the untrained its like giving a loaded gun to a child.
Abrupt ending there. Was it the point? Valdor simply striking down the Fireborn. I mean, it was pretty clear they were going to lose, as the Emperor did unify all of Terra under his banner. But it ends suddenly.
I had a much longer ending but it felt repetitive so I cut it back to where it actually ended. I should've taken some more time to do it justice but honestly I did not expect people to be engaged all the way to the end. Next time I'll do better thanks brother!
@@40kNexus That's fine. To be fair, the Unification Wars does end with the Emperor controlling Terra, so it was obvious that the Fireborn wasn't going to win. I liked the bit where you realize that despite the Fireborn thinking this was the battle of the age he was going to fight, the Emperor did not go himself. Yes, Valdor went, and that means it was major. But not major enough for the Emperor himself to take the field. Probably for the best. The Fireborn trying to fight the Emperor would have been a short and humiliating fight.
That was a mistake that snuck in there sorry. There's an image somewhere of custodians in "Proto-power armor" it seems like it got morphed into proto custodians. Thank you my brother! New video is up now
Are you making all this up or are you reading from sources? Asking because the Nordafrik were incorporated into even the Council of Terra, so no idea if you are missing bits of lore or inventing.
The idea that ionizing radiation will mutate humans has been so prevalent since the US dropped the 2 bombs in 1945. I guess it's a compromise. Radiation definitely changes people, but just having people fall apart over the course of a few days is just too grim. When GW was designing WHFB to sell more minis (or models) they intentionally conceptualized Chaos as being like radiation. Just being around it affects people in terrible ways. In 40k, warp energy can be used by psykers to fight the forces of chaos, but every time you use the energy of the warp, there's a chance you'll become a chaos spawn or hundreds of demons will pour out of you like a clown car.
Anyone else think a preunification, fallout like game would be sick?!
It'd be positively radioactive

Yes!
I once thought about trying to do a Pre unification 40k game using fallout 2d20 but I became too overwhelmed by the scale
Super sick! 👍🏾
It sadeness me how underrated this channel is.
Prime deep lore compared to the stupidk wiki reading kids.
An enjoyable tale. Touching on a time period that is fascinating to me. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for the kind words my brother! I'm doing one on Merica next
This is golden. Keep up the good work. It will get there!!
Incredible narration.

Ty bro this was great
Great vid, great story. Is the lore cannon? If not it should be
Mostly, I filled in the gaps to make it a real story. Thanks brother!
The Deeplore lord man i love you videos
Oooh I have been missing these. And it's nice and long too!😊
Very well done my man 👍🏾
@@frankthetank8050 Thank you my brother!
Unification Wars >>> Heresy
C'mooon GM, give us the good stuff!
Yeah, Big E definitely let them gather.
Easier to squash one large camp than go out into the world to comb for stragglers.
The only question is, why did the Emperor send emissaries in the first place.
He would kill them anyway, the only option was war.
To scout
And thus the homeless encampment was cleared.
@@jonpato 🤣

Hey friend, do you have any sources for the lore provided, I'd like to do more reading on this sorta stuff.
i enjoy these and i think it's so cool more more "lore" / stories from that time.
But there is nothing call a "Proto custodian"

Would it be possible to get music credits for this? I like the ambient music I'm hearing here.
That deep hum sound is called "the drone" it's on freesound. Com and it is actually copyright free. I guinea pigged it lol
Can't wait till you get to Sud Afrik!
Baldor probably has a permanent burn scar to remember

I also want to know. But it's probably made up 😊
Where are you getting this lore from, if you are making it yourself well done, very interesting stories.
It's based on real lore with not much detail about how they were conquered so I fan fictioned the details lol
Is this cannon? It’s a great video!
I took some artistic liberties but it's mostly canon. Thanks
@@40kNexus you did a really fantastic job, where is the lore from?
It's pieced together from book references, the lexicanum has a lot of pre unity lore stuff with source links
Id love like a weapons and tech break down of each faction.

Don't get captured.
Really good……but that last line was so unoriginal……all the rest was good
That's fair. Thanks brother
