    The hardest part of being a christian is denying yourself and carrying your cross. Thank you Jesus for your work and love!

      According to Jesus, if you have truly come to him, being a Christian should not be hard but easy and restful" ( Matthew 11:28-30 ) Stop trying to be Jesus and start resting in him". That is why he came . To provide forgiveness and salvation by what he did for us on the cross and not what we think we need to do to help him out'.

    Thank you for these clear distinctions made between the old and new self, between the material and the spiritual! In accordance with this word and luke 9:23-25, 2 corinthians 5:17, acts 11:38, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 I bind one in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ to repent of not denying to one's old self and not losing one's material life and attachments for one's spiritual growth in Christ when this is the case, while binding myself not to be unequally yoked with and have any common share with those who do not repent of not denying one's old self and not losing one's material life and attachments in order to spiritually grow in Christ, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

    As I was looking for the chapter in the Bible he asked us to read, I came across one that I think really reflects what he is saying: "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:34. If our treasure is in money, people, or ourselves and what we want, that is where our heart lies, which like it or not is a dead zone. However, if our treasure is in God and what He wants, than are hearts will be with Him, which is very much so a live zone. I think it can be a good thing to take some time for ourselves, but that should NEVER be our main focus. God bless, I love you all and hope you have a wonderful morning, day, evening, night, whatever time it is for you! ❤️❤️

      Katie Olsen “freakin” or “frick” is a substitute word for the F word. I don’t mean to be rude but us “Christians” are the reflection of Christ and the worldly people out there don’t wanna follow Christ because of his “fan club” so we need to represent whole heartedly, as we continue to pick up our cross daily . Be blessed 🙏

    To deny yourself means: give up your religious beliefs and accept only those that take you to Love.

    Hey Jon!! I really like how you present God's word! It is so organized and creative!! You should make videos about live speaking! In other words... How to do live speaking, Sermon prep etc.. :D That would be very very helpful!

    Well the people that rebel against God r not walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, but once they repent all they have to do is dust themselves off n go into the presence of God in the room, spend time with the Lord.

    How can we deny one's self when we have died with Christ and as Jesus rose we have also risen in Christ to newness of life. Romans 6:11. The new man are woman in Christ are new as the Bible says: 2sd Corinthians 5:17. He is everything to us: past tense - 1st Corinthians 6:11. Its the mind that is being renewed and by that our lives are transformed. The outward behaviour. Romans 12:2. Believe this. This is the good new for us in Christ.

    Could you maybe make a video on practical application of this please? Like is it wrong if you really like a certain band or have a friend you really like if you still constantly keep God at the forefront of your life?

    • @haleyv6487
      @haleyv6487 6 лет назад +1

      stephanie adu I know someone is able to elaborate/delve way deeper into answering this question,
      but to answer it simply:
      No matter all of those interests, if God TRULY is at the forefront of your life, that's what matters.
      I say "TRULY," because it's one thing to SAY "I put God first," and it's another to ACTUALLY put Him first.
      I hope this helps at least a bit!

    • @splashofsteph
      @splashofsteph 6 лет назад +2

      Haley Raelene true. For me it's like I definitely want to put God first but I don't know if praying and worshipping Him everyday is enough? Like I pray and do a bible study or reading every morning and night and I'll maybe watch a sermon in the middle of the day too. I try to have worship on in the background and I always try to consider God in things I do and stay away from things that are bad...but is that denying myself?

    • @haleyv6487
      @haleyv6487 6 лет назад +4

      stephanie adu It's awesome that you do all of that! I'm on the same boat.
      I would say that those are forms of denying yourself, because you could be doing other things with the time you spend doing them.
      Although, we could take steps even further! When we deny ourselves, it's not a completely comfortable lifestyle. It totally is like bearing a cross day in and day out.
      An example I have is when it comes to "serving others, as unto God": Sometimes my sister asks me to make her food, and there are times when I choose to scroll through Instagram for a little while first, or I choose to eat first so I don't have to go out of my way - but that isn't serving her as if it were for God.
      "Denying myself" would be me denying myself from doing what I want to do first (e.g. to scroll through I.G.) or from what I physically crave (e.g. to take my time to eat, when my sis wants food too).
      Denying yourself is "less of me, more of God" and sometimes, like I just mentioned, "others first, me second."
      And putting others first does NOT mean you're worthless, but it does mean that you find it worth it to do what Jesus would do and serve others.

    Discipleship is not a means of salvation only a few become disciples(also not saying we have a license to sin)

    and the reason y their spiritual life is not correct is bc they dont seek God's face, but the dry bones story is for us to speak life into the need whatever that may be, , to prophesy for God's Glory!
