Funny yall are talking about how easy it could be to make a better danganronpa. I'm currently making a comic inspired by Danganronpa, and I'm hoping to make it good. Your words encountered me to keep going
I feel like the Danganronpa series is the child getting B’s and C’s that you’re only so hard on because you know they could easily be getting A’s and Bs’ if they’d just realize their full potential. And they may very well make more games given that the CEO of Spike Chunsoft has stated that “Danganronpa, as a highly successful series, is only taking a break.” The criticism of the repetitive and sometimes unnecessary dialogue in regards to the murder aspect along with the love of the characters and interacting with them seems to be the norm among fans, and I’m hoping that Spike Chunsoft will keep this in mind if there really is more in store for the series rather than say “It’s already a successful series, so we don’t have to change anything”. Let’s plays wouldn’t have been as big as they are now when the original game first came out, but now they’d likely be aware of some gameplay out there rife with commentary of this nature. And new or returning actors could possibly have some sway. Even Gundham’s VA has seen some of the Grump’s playthrough of this game and raided people on Twitch who were playing the series.
52:35 Ah, so that's how brainrot happens Also, your justified spiel is pretty much like a Family Guy fan: It's TOO LONG & GRATUITOUS, but it's got good bits
You guys do have a great point in terms of the Exposition. These games have quite a bit but you're words are valid. For some players they might read fast and play it themselves so they may not feel the length of it as much if they don't have to read it outloud with voices. I for one do agree that the lore of the series is pretty okayish to me. I have always been in it for the Murders and less the overall world, but I will say the ending of this game is much better then the firsts imo and it does make the longer Exposition stuff worth it. As far as the other games I think V3 is the only other thing you really need to do.
In loving memory of Jinjo itoshima. Honestly though Danganronpa is absolutely garbage writing but I love it despite that because of the good stuff. Skip the dumb dialogue you beautiful heroes.
One thing that really sours the overarching plot is how much they focus on keywords without EVER expanding on them. If you asked a Danganronpa writer to replace the word 'Despair' with literally anything else so we got a better idea of what they mean, they probably wouldn't be able to. It starts to lose any semblance of a relatable meaning and seems like a made-up vague concept

I have never seen people discuss the exposition manga so entertainingly
