God! I love this song! The day I was notified that I have been eliminated by friends, friends whom I revered more than God, friends whom I thought could secure me everlasting happiness, friends who I poured my love into, I felt like I was going under. I was going under. I was going over! One of them. But I was not going to be whole any more. Never felt like this before. All because I was not good enough all by myself. When the pain hit me and I bent over holding my stomach, and as the crying started, I just started singing "Lord I cant even walk without you holding my hands." God had to knock me down, had to bring me to my knees, to get me to listen to him and to see him as the "ALL MIGHTY GOD". NOT HER. I was able to sit up and sing. And I listened to it all, about to drown, barely floating, floating because I still wouldn't hold on to the lifeline he was extending, just wanting the situation fixed. Woke up next morning, the pain wasn't gone, curled up, cradling my stomach to try to stop the hurt, that is when GOD gave me her name, HIS VESSEL, and she extended HIS LIFELINE, and I grabbed it, as I remembered that in Ecclesiastics, as I had read a few days before, that what I was trying to hold on to was/is vanity! That I was just pleasing self and man. Today I feel Good. I embrace and welcome elimination. I LET GO, AND WILL ALLOW GOD TO DO HIS WORK IN ALL OF US! The VESSEL He worked through, I will always be thankful for, I wish to one day achieve the same status with God, so that I can help someone, as she selflessly...yes selflessly spoke with me, cried with me, prayed with me, encouraged me, for about 5 hours non-stop! Moments after hanging up the phone, I was able to smile at the "we will keep in touch" email, and close that chapter of my life.
