I also used to be an atheist. But then I understood that I am not just a meaningless piece of matter that would just perish. It took me a couple of years but I finally saw the truth. The turning point was a near death experience when got into a car accident during my uni years. Not only that but after I got better I saw how everybody really cared about me, loved me. I don't think that is what made me believe, I always understood it but didn't want to accept it. I mean why me? Why am I experiencing all this and not someone else? Why these eyes have to endure these? The only logical answer I could've come to is that in reality I am the god, the one that should be worshipped, the person for whom the world exists. I am the only higher power and everybody should love me. I will pray to myself that you will accept your true Lord and Savior. Sorry, English is not my first language.
This is a beautiful. As a christian we are taught to trust in you Lord Jesus because you are our savior you died for our sins. I will hold on to my faith. But I’m overwhelmed dear Lord. Since losing my job over declining the vaccine things have been tuff. I’m thankful to be waitressing considering my lupus and heart disease. But between waitressing and homeschooling my two children I’m overwhelmed. Both of my boys are autistic. I know you don’t give us no more than we can handle. But Lord have mercy on me. Every month is a struggle not to end up on the streets. My rent was recently raised 200 dollars out of nowhere to renew my lease. I have no family nor friends to lean on. A large part of my thigh was missing and I was losing so much blood...I knew I was a goner and would never be able to make it for help. But then out of nowhere a surfer showed up, he looked exactly like Jesus, the white version. On that day I witnessed one set of foot prints in the sand leading away from where I laid. I called out..."hey Jesus looking dude...are you just going to just leave me here"? And he said.."do you know how much you weigh...hell yeah". And then I died. But don't worry I came back three days later. Proof! How could I have written this if I didn't come back from the dead? The End. By the way, I did find the Jesus looking dude after I came back from the dead. Ironically his name was Jesus but with the Spanish pronunciation. He was in awe of my miracle recovery from death and has become one of my apostles. I am sure my story will be written about in about a hundred years. Look at the story of Paul my friend, a man who commited his life to the persecution of Christians and Christ transformed him and Paul became one of the greatest evangelist of all time and went on to write a large percent of the New Testament. Righteouness is not something we earn but is given, we are not justified by our own actions but by the actions of Jesus, who justified you by being sinless and taking our just punishment on a cross. You are not a lost cause, God died for you, and He did so with full awarness of the sin you and I have done and can do. He loves you and desire to have a relationship with you, all He needs is your faith. As you said we can't trust man but you can trust God. BUT HERE IS GOD'S BEST NEWS! We can receive forgiveness for all our unrighteous, disobedience (sins) against God and our sins against others RIGHT NOW and have certainty RIGHT NOW that on the Judgment Day, our sins WON'T be held against us! HOW CAN THAT BE?! By asking Jesus Christ to forgive us for our sins and trusting that He HAS forgiven us of them simply by our asking and trusting! Jesus will do it!
1 John 1:8-9 says: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Thus if we make Jesus our personal Lord and Savior - every time we sin - we have every right to ask Jesus Christ to forgive us of our sin(s) - cleanse us as though we never sinned - so that when our heart stops beating, we can be assured that we won't have to suffer eternal damnation for our sins.

"I was believing there is no such thing as god" This is a soft version of "atheism". It wasn't actually based in reason...just appears to be a method to cope and even argue [which brings about human interactions]. But a true atheist is as such because of the lack of actual credible and verifiable evidence of any "deities" existing. "...I became a half way in...half way out believer...." This sort of statement demonstrates this "soft atheism" idea...not because of good reason, but because of just a determination that "no gods exist". An actual atheist wouldn't even remotely ponder "being a believer" or not...because the evidence still isn't there. People choose to make changes in their life. He can claim it was "because of a real god changing him",...but he made those changes. I do not think he truly knows what an actual atheist is. He said he "cursed god". That isn't what atheists do. By faith, we believe in God and that through him all things are possible. God is good. He's loving and kind. Even towrds those who speak against his existence. I was once a atheist, who actually converted many Christians against God. Never would I have thought that I would find him. After being led through a traumatic life, he really just opened my mind to how I was living. I was doomed without him. I would have died. I tried countless times to seek counseling, drugs, self-help, research, and friends just to try to help myself out of the pain I was feeling. But the Lord turned my life around. I know I couldn't have done it on my own because I tried, and each time led to death. I'm currently out of an addiction, at a church, I have new friends, and my first ever stable job. Mentally, I'm more secure than ever. I have bad days as we all do, but I have a giving lord who comforts me and answers my prayers, not in the way I would intend him to. And I'm grateful for that. If things were answered the way I wanted them to be, my life would be destroyed because fundamentally, I'm out to ruin my life. Over and over again. But he saves me from this. He's given me new friendships, new hobbies, and truths to rely on. In his shadow, I'm safe. I wasn't confused, though I was looking for answers. I was firm that if I kept trying to do things my way, I would prosper, but I was too deluded and not powerful or aware enough to turn my life around. I just kept running to new people, addictions, sins, thinking that was the answer I needed. I had therapy that never transformed my character. It only influenced my thoughts and kept them running as the world does. Which didn't help. The world's broken were broken. We all need Jesus. Only through him may we find peace. I ponder a life without God, and it looks exactly how it had. Even my best times then would be my worst times now. Have you pondered a life for you with God in it? What is the real world to you? I've been through kidnapping, all kinds of abuse, moments of homelessness, I had sold my body to make money from a young age. The real world hit. God was with me the whole time. Trying to guide me. I just didn't want to listen. But now I'm hearing a little more. Day by day. And I know he's always listening, leading, and present.
Funny how when I was a christian and losing my faith, this god was no where to be found even when I prayed for help.. IT seems that this god is rather hit and miss with getting to humans, and it seems that all that is happening are false claims by people trying to pretend that they are extra special.

Look at the story of Paul my friend, a man who commited his life to the persecution of Christians and Christ transformed him and Paul became one of the greatest evangelist of all time and went on to write a large percent of the New Testament. Righteouness is not something we earn but is given, we are not justified by our own actions but by the actions of Jesus, who justified you by being sinless and taking our just punishment on a cross. You are not a lost cause, God died for you, and He did so with full awarness of the sin you and I have done and can do. WHAT EVERYONE DESERVES TO KNOW: JESUS DID IT!
Jesus destroyed the barrier of sin between God and mankind at the cross so we can have peace with Him and have assurance we’ll make it to heaven.
WHY WOULD HE DO THAT? The Bible (God's only trustworthy Word for the human race) tells us: All of us were born with an unrighteous sinful nature. We inherited it spiritually from Adam and Eve, the first two created people, because of their disobedience to God by giving into the devil's deceiving temptation. Why would the devil do such a thing anyway? Because he hates God! The devil wants no one enjoying intimate, joyous relationship with God. He once had it yet lost it, and now wants no one else having it either.
God is so holy - so righteous - so pure … that He cannot and will not allow unrighteous sinners to remain with Him in heaven. But God had a plan to undo what Satan did to the human race. Jesus Christ IS the plan! Jesus came to earth to ransom you and everyone else for Himself, God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit. He took full punishment for your sins against God and the sins of everyone else on the cross so our sins no longer would keep us separated from God. Furthermore, He traded His righteousness for our unrighteousness through His death, burial and resurrection! (See: 2 Corinthians 5:21. It is ONLY God’s IMPUTED righteousness that makes us acceptable to Him - that is FREELY given to us who make Jesus our Savior and Lord.
Imagine being in a courtroom, and the Judge has just sentenced you to death. Also imagine Jesus Christ being your lawyer. Jesus Christ says to the Judge (or in other words, God the heavenly Father): "Your Honor, I want to serve my client's sentence and pay the price for his/her wrong-doing by dying instead so my client can go free." Can you imagine someone doing such a thing for you?! JESUS DID IT!
Of course you may be thinking at that moment: I haven't done anything to be sentenced to die! I'm being falsely accused! "What have I supposedly DONE, God?!" Here's your answer: God gave 10 commandments for people to keep in the Old Testament Bible. Anyone who breaks just one of those commandments must be punished for breaking them against God. Where does it say THAT?! It says that in Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Have you ever lied? Lied just one time? Everyone of us has lied at least once. Number 9 of the 10 commandments says: Thou shalt not lie (bear false witness). You know what that makes us? A disobedient sinning liar against God and His moral law - His 10 commandments. (Revelation 21:8 also tells us what God thinks of lying).
You just read above what God says about our disobedient sinning against Him by breaking just ONE of His moral laws: God’s punishment for doing so is DEATH. Spiritual death. Ultimately total separation from God and agonizingly suffering for our sins against Him for all eternity -- totally void of any love, peace, hope, joy or forgiveness from God ever again (otherwise known as hell).
BUT HERE IS GOD'S BEST NEWS! We can receive forgiveness for all our unrighteous, disobedience (sins) against God and our sins against others RIGHT NOW and have certainty RIGHT NOW that on the Judgment Day, our sins WON'T be held against us! HOW CAN THAT BE?! By asking Jesus Christ to forgive us for our sins and trusting that He HAS forgiven us of them simply by our asking and trusting! Jesus will do it!
1 John 1:8-9 says: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Thus if we make Jesus our personal Lord and Savior - every time we sin - we have every right to ask Jesus Christ to forgive us of our sin(s) - cleanse us as though we never sinned - so that when our heart stops beating, we can be assured that we won't have to suffer eternal damnation for our sins.
Jesus Christ did what no other human being has ever done or ever could do. He was the ONLY person on this planet who has never sinned. And because He never sinned, He is the only acceptable sacrifice God the Father would accept to pay ransom payment for each of OUR sins. That is simply AMAZING, isn't it?! Yet JESUS DID IT!
WHY? Because of God’s LOVE and MERCY for lost souls like you and I who will reach out in humility and demonstrate appreciation for His FREE GIFT of forgiveness (pardon) so we can have friendship and intimacy with Him starting now ... and lasting for ETERNITY! This life is your starting point with your loving Creator that will last for eternity. Ask Jesus for His FREE GIFT of forgiveness TODAY. Ask Him to live inside you. He WANTS to!

This is a soft version of "atheism". It wasn't actually based in reason...just appears to be a method to cope and even argue [which brings about human interactions]. But a true atheist is as such because of the lack of actual credible and verifiable evidence of any "deities" existing.

This sort of statement demonstrates this "soft atheism" idea...not because of good reason, but because of just a determination that "no gods exist". An actual atheist wouldn't even remotely ponder "being a believer" or not...because the evidence still isn't there.
People choose to make changes in their life. He can claim it was "because of a real god changing him",...but he made those changes. I do not think he truly knows what an actual atheist is. He said he "cursed god". That isn't what atheists do.
I have no reason to believe the claims of humans who say "deities exist". I'm watching this right now, hearing his words, and they are vacant! By faith, we believe in God and that through him all things are possible. God is good. He's loving and kind. Even towrds those who speak against his existence. I was once a atheist, who actually converted many Christians against God. Never would I have thought that I would find him. After being led through a traumatic life, he really just opened my mind to how I was living. I was doomed without him. I would have died. I tried countless times to seek counseling, drugs, self-help, research, and friends just to try to help myself out of the pain I was feeling. But the Lord turned my life around. I know I couldn't have done it on my own because I tried, and each time led to death. I'm currently out of an addiction, at a church, I have new friends, and my first ever stable job. Mentally, I'm more secure than ever. I have bad days as we all do, but I have a giving lord who comforts me and answers my prayers, not in the way I would intend him to. And I'm grateful for that. If things were answered the way I wanted them to be, my life would be destroyed because fundamentally, I'm out to ruin my life. Over and over again. But he saves me from this. He's given me new friendships, new hobbies, and truths to rely on. In his shadow, I'm safe. I wasn't confused, though I was looking for answers. I was firm that if I kept trying to do things my way, I would prosper, but I was too deluded and not powerful or aware enough to turn my life around. I just kept running to new people, addictions, sins, thinking that was the answer I needed. I had therapy that never transformed my character. It only influenced my thoughts and kept them running as the world does. Which didn't help. The world's broken were broken. We all need Jesus. Only through him may we find peace. I ponder a life without God, and it looks exactly how it had. Even my best times then would be my worst times now. Have you pondered a life for you with God in it? What is the real world to you? I've been through kidnapping, all kinds of abuse, moments of homelessness, I had sold my body to make money from a young age. The real world hit. God was with me the whole time. Trying to guide me. I just didn't want to listen. But now I'm hearing a little more. Day by day. And I know he's always listening, leading, and present.
God gives meaning to loss, death, and the struggles of life. Whats stopping you from genuinely asking God to show himself to you? Pride? Pain?

Funny how when I was a christian and losing my faith, this god was no where to be found even when I prayed for help..
