Winona thinking she will only be known as Will’s mom is soo sooo wrong!! Everyone loves her and knows her iconic movies she has been a part of. I mean she has literally been a part of just about everything iconic. Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Heathers, Mermaids, Dracula, Little Women, Alien Resurrection, Girl Interrupted, Mr. Deeds, Black Swan, etc and NOW STRANGER THINGS!!!
I’m really happy she has been able to respark her career because she truly is one of the greats and has added her flair to so many iconic movies and now series..and I hope many more to come.

Winona Ryder will *never* only be known as Will's mom. Her acting has been in my home since my mom watched "Girl, Interrupted", then made me watch it. Ever since then, her acting won't leave, it's made too big of an impact.
Same. She is an icon and she needs to know it, she's not just "will's mom", well maybe for kids that are born in the last 2 decades.
She was in Heathers that movie was freaking groundbreaking and Christian Slater was amazing

I think most of her iconic ones weren't huge when they came out, and they were largely in a different time like she was saying, the dynamic with fans and all is really different. But I totally agree she's sooo much more than "Will's mom"

Cult classic however means that they became popular later, and I was talking about the difference in dynamic of fans and cinematic popularity now. It doesn't mean they weren't big at all ever. And I was trying to give a different perspective on what she actually said, not be rude about her or anything. And I'm 35 btw.

I'm kinda going to lose it if Nancy and Steve get back together. I liked Nancy and Jonathan just fine and really wanted Steve to find someone new and good for him. Especially since last season he told Robin that he liked her BECAUSE she's not like Nancy, so he knows what he actually wants now.
But if they happen to go that way and execute it well, I could accept it. We'll see.
Basically if Nancy and Steve got back together, it could undo a lot that the characters went through. The romance with Jonathan would be rendered pointless, poor guy. And Steve's character growth of moving on from high school would be kinda pointless too, since he'd just end up with the 'popular girl' he was with in the first place.
It would just feel like retreading, going backwards. The only way it could work is if this season really emphasizes that they've changed, and they each acknowledge that the other has changed. And their chemistry starts anew and fresh. Like falling in love all over again completely from scratch.
Otherwise.... I just don't see it working. But one thing I'll say about Stranger Things... this show never fails to surprise me.

@@malachisollie7944 tbh i dont think that's going to happen. i really wish it would though, robin and steves relationship was surprisingly my favorite part of the series.. based off an interview I saw with natalia dyer though, my theory is that they might ship nancy and robin together
@@cruz.c I loved Steve & Robin's dynamic far more than Steve & Nancy. They have AMAZING chemistry - just unfortunately not romantic. Fans would be outraged if they had Robin come out as gay only to conform to being in a straight relationship. Tbh I would too, even though she's otherwise perfect for Steve. Maybe she's bi, but still... lots of people would be mad.
We just need someone like Robin but straight and into Steve. As for Nancy and Robin.... that could be real interesting!

@@johannrobertofreirefreire3143 millenials had parents who would put on beetlejuice, mermaids, little women, edward scissorhands for them as kids. and when they got older watched girl, interrupted, heathers and things like that. gen z who only watch current things, I would say, are the ones that only know her for stranger things. She's been an icon for 30+ years and a beauty icon.
if you use tiktok, alot of kids are discovering her older stuff and appreciate her for more than this. I get their first impression is this role, but it's really reductive to only see her as that with her body of work.

it made me sad to hear that millie was bullied in school to the point where acting scenes with bullying upset her to this day, and then the internet and people who are supposed to be her fans bully her in her professional career too :( i feel so bad for her

I have a feeling that if tv shows were played in movie theaters, I would go to this one. To find so many people who loved it just the same and see all of us fan girling over it would be one of the best experiences of my life.

I have two wishes for this season. First: please, for the love of god, don’t kill off Steve. I can literally live with any characters death (well, maybe except for Dustin, but I think it’s unlikely he dies) but his. Will probably drop the show if that happens. If he has to go (like some are theorizing) let him finally go to college or something. Second, don’t let Steve and Nancy get back together. Steve had so much character growth, don’t let that regress by being a rebound for his high school sweetheart that never truly loved him. I have nothing against the actress but Nancy did Steve kinda dirty.

Natalia looks incredibly like Winona Ryder as Lydia in Beetlejuice here, it's crazy. Imagine if the roles were reversed and Mike had an older brother while Will had an older sister, Natalia would have been so convincing as Joyce's child.

I watched the show and I want to write about how the new character of Eddie is so wonderful, I'm really glad that this particular character appeared because I really wasn't sure what to expect from him, in the first seconds I thought he would be about the same as Billy in season 2, but he turned out not to be, as Chrissy said "and you are not what I thought" (I don't remember the exact words) so it happened. Looking at the actor who played the character Joseph Quinn want to say that he is very handsome and likeable, you can feel his kindness right through the screen. I don't understand hate about his hair, it's so stupid. ( I was actually very surprised by it )
I hope he's doing well and doesn't get worked up over comments like that, they're not worth it. God give him strength and patience. Love you ♡

What David Harbour sad touched me and this is to him and others wondering why it’s so big - it is the perfect mix of every genre, action, romance, comedy, and drama. It’s incredible. The story line feels real in an unreal way and the characters are so human along with the entire cast being incredible. It’s a heartwarming story even in the smallest of ways. I as a highly sensitive person am able to watch the deaths of characters I love because I love the tv show so much and want to know everything that the characters have seen, I want to be in their lives. So it’s something special because watchers really feel like they are in it in the best way possible.
It's not just that. It's the NOSTALGIA for a huge generation of us that were 80s-90s kids. We MISS the simpler times, and the aesthetic of that Era, and the attention to details of our childhood that these producers put in is WILD.
There’s one thing I liked about every single season of Stranger Things is that emotion that you can feel from each of the actors and actresses within this especially my favorite character reminds me of my own childhood is 11 and I felt for her so much what she went through her character and everything about it growing up in the 80s was just wonderful I couldn’t find a better time to grow up in order to graduate high school in was in the 80s and yeah I am also very highly sensitive as well

I think this may actually be my favourite season altogether. I didnt even like the 80's but I am beyond completely engrossed in that show. All of the nods to the horror classics of the decade had me cackling with glee, the spectacular FX are jawdropping, its brilliant and has just the right touch of nostalgia.

I had no idea that Joseph Quinn was in this season! He was phenomenal opposite Haley Atwell and Matthew MacFaydan in the BBC's/Starz miniseries HOWARD'S END.

Millie grew up in the town I live and grew up in (In England) and I know what Primary school she went to, the dinner ladies at my secondary school were telling me all about the hard time she had here, bless
No one could have made Joyce into what she is except for Winona Ryder. I was just re-watching the entire series recently and realizing how easily Joyce's character could have been portrayed in either too neurotic a light or not quite neurotic enough, too frightened or not frightened enough- but in the first couple of seasons, Winona's nuanced performance and quirky mannerisms set the stage for all of the suspense during Will's disappearance. If she came off as too wacky, her theories and experiments with the lights and things wouldn't have hooked the viewer. If she hadn't been wacky enough, it would have been too straightforward. Instead, she's endearing and just hysterical enough that you feel like you know her well already. You can feel the character's background and you know she's both traumatized and trustworthy, terrified but also incredibly strong and resolute. I just cannot think of someone more perfect for the role than Winona, and seeing her name in the description is definitely the reason that I clicked play without hesitation that one afternoon in 2016 when I first discovered Stranger Things. I binged the whole first season that day and then when my partner came home from a work trip, I made them watch it immediately and we binged it all again. No words for how much I love everything about this show.

remember like a year ago when there was ZERO news about this show, then all of a sudden we got that clock teaser with the logo and being told "we're not in Hawkins anymore" then later finding out about the episode names, then slowly those strange teaser trailers about the house were dropped and then the california trailer then BOOM all of a sudden we're now and there's a huge flood of marketing and press and footage for this show again out of nowhere

I love Millie so much it’s so sad that she was bullied because she’s such a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul
Millie is great and obv allowed to express herself however she feels her best but I definitely feel like it was a sad jump to see her be her young bright bubbly artististc self to her very matured and glits and glam and very adult act/look and very fast in my opinion :/ theres always pressure for child stars to look and act so adult and mature at still young ages
even her mannerisms are like very posh and idk it just doesn't seem like her like her inner child is really shut out rn

@@nicolemedina8072 yea absolutely, its just sad to see many child actors change and have to grow up so quick and then also feel so much pressure being in the public eye to look the best and prove adulthood/maturity. idk its very complex and I think she has a very supportive family around her which is always good, I just hope this isn't ruining her psyche because remember peoples brains aren't fully developed until 26 so anything can rewire and have effects on the brain and that can cause issues in development for later on and many struggles and mental health problems can occur from that especially the mental effects of being famous while growing up :/ she's just so talented and bubbly and bright id hate to see her struggle and lose that side
