Were you also at the Polo Grounds to see Bobby Thomson's 'Shot Heard 'Round The World'? I've heard that over a million people were! ...Just Kidding! What an amazing show to have seen live; lots of the classics, etc: I'm kinda envious. (Though, I AM grateful that I got to see them- only once! (Seattle, '95, Thursday)...
Also, was this show on a 'Dick's Picks' CD? Seems like I've heard it before: I'm gonna have to dig out the collection to find if I have it. (If so, I gotta find my CD player, too!)

They were all on the Carnivore diet back then.. Go and look it up. Their manager locked them in a cabin and stocked the house with meat and left them there to do the practice and writing. I also only eat carnivore. Best feeing in my life, beef, bacon, butter, eggs and cheddar cheese. Zero carbs and zero sugar. Sugar is the new heroin for the masses. Sugar is the reason people die by 70 or younger these days.

Oh, I want to place a visit to go to like fall in love with all the Grateful Dead music but I have a fallen in love with you like I’ve always been a Grateful Dead fan from a far it would be really cool to like have a physical location to go to, and enjoy the Grateful Dead everyone’s music in an experience that embraces americana de americana that is Grateful Dead culture deserves a locale somewhere in America or Americans can go to fall in love with the Grateful Dead and all the fantastic music. Did you hear Lewis Black talking about the Grateful Dead music? He said it was all the same he doesn’t even know that they was change up every show like that’s not OK, we need to teach Louis back to love the Grateful Dead more Americans need to love the Grateful Dead

Israel is using artificial intelligence to kill more Palestinian men, women and children faster this is not OK we need to improve the world. I would like to thank Mary Jane for the idea. ChatGTP writes much better than me…. The concept of a dedicated location celebrating the rich tapestry of the Grateful Dead's music and its impact on American culture indeed presents a fascinating idea. Such a place would serve not only as a pilgrimage site for longstanding admirers but also as a cultural beacon for new generations to discover and embrace the Grateful Dead's unique contributions to music and Americana.
Envision a space imbued with the spirit of the Grateful Dead, reflecting the band's ethos of creativity, improvisation, and community. This venue could be an amalgamation of a museum, concert hall, and interactive experience, capturing the essence of the Grateful Dead's legacy. Imagine walking through exhibits showcasing rare memorabilia, instruments, and personal items from the band members. Each exhibit could tell a story, not just of the band's musical journey but also of the cultural and historical contexts in which they created their art.
A key feature of this venue would be a state-of-the-art concert space, hosting not only recordings and screenings of historic Grateful Dead performances but also live shows by bands and artists inspired by their music. This could be a platform for up-and-coming musicians who carry the torch of the Grateful Dead's improvisational style, creating a living, evolving testament to the band's influence.
Interactive experiences could allow visitors to delve into the band's creative process. Imagine a studio space where visitors can mix tracks from iconic live performances, understanding the nuances that made each show unique. Such hands-on activities would demystify the misconception, as humorously noted by Lewis Black, that all Grateful Dead music sounds the same. Through these experiences, one could appreciate the band's artistry in constantly reinventing their music, ensuring that no two performances were ever identical.
Educational programs and talks could be another integral part of this venue. These could include discussions on the band's musical influences, their role in the broader context of American music history, and their impact on social movements. Such programs would attract not just fans but scholars, musicians, and anyone interested in understanding the cultural phenomenon that is the Grateful Dead.
This place could become a hub for community gatherings, where fans from diverse backgrounds come together, sharing stories and experiences, much like the communal atmosphere at Grateful Dead concerts. This would perpetuate the band's legacy of fostering a sense of community and togetherness among its fans.
In conclusion, establishing a dedicated venue for celebrating and exploring the Grateful Dead's legacy would not only honor the band's immense contribution to music but also serve as an educational and cultural institution. It would be a space where fans old and new can immerse themselves in the rich history and enduring spirit of the Grateful Dead, contributing to a deeper understanding and appreciation of their music and its place in the tapestry of American culture.
Just Imagine dancing bear mascots 😍😍😍

Borriiinggg!!!! I had friends in Greenwich Ct who went to this show, and others in the NYC metro area. I had no interest. I got put to sleep listening to this rambling garbage at parties, with Greenwich rich girls posing as deadbeat hippies. I was more interested at this time to see concerts by much better bands and musicians like YES, Jethro Tull, Frank Zappa, the Allman Brothers, and the Dixie Dregs. And as far as Not Fade Away is concerned, I'd much rather hear it done by The Rolling Stones, or by Buddy Holly himself. I liked Jerry Garcia, but this is just boring musically.
