Guitar re-recorded, drums re-processed (added echo and solid bass sound), bass including re-recorded and re-processed in the style of the album In Utero. Last show in Seattle they closed with this. Wait... second to last show. I’m they had two shows back to back in 93. After the first one I said to my girlfriend. Why didn’t we get ones for tomorrow also. It was amazing. He sang “you could do anything “ over and over like a mantra last night. Mind blowing.

Incredible. It is given here, a thicker, groovier stance and I love the effects going on in the verses. This is utterly superb, and I love everything you've done with this. As a fan coming up nigh on 30 years now, this relights new insight into the original song. Love it, fantastic.

@@bassboi1238 Its not as thick, or sludgy as the original. That Melvins sludge influence is missing alright, but I get an Alice in Chains vibe from it now with the approach here. Its a bit brighter and bouncier.🙂🤘 When I heard it, I thought about AICs "Damn that River" and that more upbeat drop D riffage.
Either way, I really like this version of it. The original is of course amazing, but I like when a rework like this is done right to make it feel like how it could have sounded on their other albums.👍

Hey. Huge Nirvana fan here. Here are some ideas that could have excellent results. Keep in mind, all of these should be remade as "NEVERMIND" tracks, not In Utero. With In Utero, Kurt was trying to purposely lose a particular kind of fan, and had to be pushed hard by the studio to boost the volume on lyrics.

actually that isnt true at all and Kurt has stated several times he hated the over produced sound of Nevermind .. Kurt is quoted numerous times in interviews that In Utero was how he had always envisioned the sound of the band ..
In Utero was NIRVANA’s true unfiltered sound. They only remixed 2 songs, all apologies and HSB, for the album release. The rest were only boosted 1 or 2 decibels in the bass during the mastering process.
