You must be careful following this. it is gonna clean your hard drive or flash drive if you mistakenly select the drive. And the solution does not work
When I do this and turn it back on, it takes me into system assist, which just saves hard drive not found. I try to click continue and it shuts down the laptop
Hello. Thank you for this guide. IT DID NOT WORK for my Lenovo Ideapad 3-171TL6. When I access the command prompt and type in list disk, it only shows my bootable USB flash derive. When I clean this it erases the Windows 11 iso files from my usb and I have to download them all over again. Also, if the list disk command did show my internal hard drive and I go through the steps to clean it, would this erase the files stored on my hard drive? And finally, at the end you say I can create more than 1 partition. What are the benefits of creating more than 1. What is recommended? Than you 😊

I am trying to install a driver to fix my drive not being recognized. The PC does not see the drive so I cannot use diskpart. Thank you for trying to help but this video is not of use for me unfortunately.
@@Bhakti_Ruchi i searched how to install window 10 in vmware player and i found a video of indian youtuber.viseo duration is about 10 to 14 minutes, i will give you the link after 4 or 5 hours, link is in my laptop

If it didn't work for u then don't panic that ur ssd is gone or anything.. same happened with me .. I searched and understood that this is the normal procedure to do a clean windows installation and there was something wrong the the bootable although I don't know what exactly.. I just made a live bootable of linux in that usb and installed it .. fk windows
@@rosemartin6237 Yes so for my specific problem my SSD wasn't hooked to the power cable correctly so it wasn't turned on so when I did the command prompts it only listed my USB drive as an available space. I didn't realize that the first time so when I cleaned the drive it wiped all of the files off of it. It should list 2 available drives. One is the SSD/HDD and the 2nd is the usb that windows is booting from. In my case, I just needed to check the wires but I did read on the Microsoft forms that this can be caused by corrupt hardware so definitely check everything before you go buy something new. Also with your SATA cables try moving them to different slots because they don't all do the same thing, so it can cause issues if its in the wrong port.

Sure they'll be on the backup, but stored in a hundred different places that I don't even remember where. I've installed dozens of apps on this machine and changed hundreds of settings to get them to work together properly. I don't remember all that stuff. If I want this machine to ever work properly again, I need to install Windows without nuking it.

What about windows 8.1? I can't seem to install it on a Windows 10 compatible PC. Driver missing or something. Can it work with that too?

I've just buggered up my Linux installation. You should say that it would happen before telling people to follow your commands
in the command it literally says "format", if you couldnt figure that out, then linux isnt for you

It didn't work. I followed step by step, the original disk is not listed, but both of them are there when booting the previous version.

Never do this if you are using dual boot. İt will remove all the data.

sometimes the iso file is damaged, i redownloaded a new iso file with different method and it worked for me

that means your harddrive is physically disconnected inside the PC/laptop or not being recognized due to software, you need to solve that issue first
