Hey I just bought me a 2004 4x4 4Runner for a really good price. Came with a new gloss sand paint and TRD RIMS MAN. I’m so happy with my purchase. Your videos helped me figure out what to look for and the cool features. My wife is mad she didn’t get to drive it home and I feel bad
Thanks for featuring my 4Runner on Roast my 4Runner! I’m Leo with the Shadow Mica Runner. So on the first few pics I only had a leveling kit up front and FJ rear spring . Then I got the 6112 bilstein 3” lift in front and 5160 on the rear and keep the FJ rear springs! The rear hatch it’s not rusted at all. I’m in the process of fixing deep scratch that I did by leaving the hatch open and it hit a long screw on my storage ☹️. The white led lights does make look a bit more modern , I didn’t really notice any difference on how they affect my eyes on getting tired. The leather steering wheel cover was a pain to do! But it feels really good. The head unit is an Alpine ilx407 and I have the Maestro iDatalink to keep the factory steering wheel controls, and it also has an open connector to the OBD ! The yellow fog lights cut thru the fog better. I have been considering getting lights the dual white and yellow so I can take off the yellow vinyl off. Thanks for the 8.5 score. And sorry for the long reply! Keep up the good work!
I love the roast my runner episodes..... but do agree it should be open up to more range of vehicles great video as always thanks for roasting mine the grey bedlined runner lol I know it aint everyone's cup of tea but does the job for what I use it for never getting rid of it
I was debating on sending my 4 Runner in. Alot of 4runners slap the Amazon wishlist and walla-Im an overlander. My runner has alot of old school home built/Modded/Repurposed stuff and alot of used things passed on from my Jeeps to Hummers to the Toy. Ever see the videos where people dont even know how to use their stuff? Plus mine is ugly af..lol. Keep it up.
First time coming across your videos content is great and I’m number 300 on the likes so keep it going lol just picked up an 08 urban runner and I’m stoked
Even though it's mostly all 4th gens, it's interesting to see the different tastes and use cases. Is there a "abusive relationship" category for some of these because that's where mine fits. Poor fella is getting new brakes and tires soon....
I use my ladder all the time. I mean ALL the time. I use it for my rooftop tent, I use it to hang my trasheroo, I use it to store a diesel rotopax for my diesel heater. I have a shovel mount on the side of it. I never even thought how much I would use it when I bought it .
@@CanadianGearhead it does. But on the 5th Gen, the spoiler gets in the way and the ladder can only be attached from the side And the latches etc are at the back and I need to be able to climb up the back to latch and unlatch and to pull the tent down. So the ladder works perfectly for that.
Have you ever experienced your windows making a snapping noise when the door is closed and you roll the windows down? It’s the windows rubbing on the door check as they go down but there’s no in depth video on how to address the issue.
I'm considering getting a 4th gen 4runner (Would love to get Shadow Gray Mica, I love the dark gray nearly black metallic shine it has) and I've got a couple questions if that's cool 1. Have any of the individual LED's in your tail lights gone out? 4th gen Rams and facelift 7th gen Accords for instance have the same type of LED tails, and I see a lot of them that have individual LED's that have burnt out. 2. Would you recommend a brush guard/grill guard? I like the way they look on 3rd and 5th gens, and think they look pretty good on 4th gens too, but don't see many 4th gens with them. 3. Are putting aftermarket lights like light bars, ditch lights, etc. worth getting, or are replacing all the factory halogen bulbs with LED's good enough?
Haven't heard of many tail light failures on these. Not a fan of brush guards, they tend to cause more damage in an accident. I'd say LEDs are a worthy upgrade but I don't think the factory lights are particularly bad

It has been a dream of mine for a long time and I got one part of my dream accomplished. I’m finally part of the family.
Thanks for rating my 4Runner ! But I’ll never stop putting American flags on it 🇺🇸🦅
As you should! 🇺🇲🇺🇸🇺🇲🇺🇸🇺🇲

Thanks for all the info!
Thanks, Tim for the roast! My factory sub-woofer died and I replaced it with a Rockford Fosgate, so not just the sticker.
Did it make a noticeable difference?
@@CanadianGearhead I wouldn't say I notice it being better than the stock sub-woofer. It just works for me. But, I'm not an audiophile so who knows.
Thanks for rating the Sorunner man! Keep the good content coming! All those images were spacer lifts but now I’ve moved onto a icon/dobinson lift.
Another awesome episode! Gotta love those wee waddle wadders!
Man I just sent my 4Runner pictures to you yesterday! But yes let’s open it up to all the Yotas!
glad to help.

Nice work man.

@@Treetopflyer777 Interesting! Does your tent not have its own ladder?

It’s a “Widdle Wadder” 😂. I am just kidding! Nice rig!
@@greenbanana2332 that one’s not mine but it is nice agreed.
I haven’t had the guts to submit mine yet!!! Hahaha
Hell yeah love the videos man keep them coming!
Oh yeah one more thing 😂 I didn’t paint my frame ! I just cleaned it with tire shine stuff!
Just making it roast my ride would be a move 🤝
I'd love to see some other models for sure

Yet another day I thank the gods I don’t live in a snowy hellhole. My Tacoma frame is rustless after 10 years
I think i should keep it on for all kinds of Toyota Lexus Honda or ford
