I don't get why they would remaster it. Why not just do a complete remake like rhey did with lego star wars. The skywalker saga game was a hit smash and if they did that with all their games i think they'd be really received well. I mean imagine being able to play all the lord of the rings/hobbit games from beginning to end or whatever order you want or all the marvel movies all into one game. Remasters are usually never worth it and only really fix the frame rate which is nice but not worth even 10 dollars let alone 60-70 like some of them are. Remakes i can definitely see being way more worth that price but even then remakes imo should be free as long as you have proof you owned the OG copy

The Hogwarts letter at the beginning, for example, was still this low res texture, so I know there was a lot they didn't do.
Yeah same. It gives me an excuse to play it again and get the platinum again but it is basically the exact same. I’ve noticed a couple improvements here and there but it’s not a big change

I would have preferred a full on remake instead of another remaster, and they could have expanded the collection with the Fantastic Beast series to some capacity.

As I’m starting the game, I notice a particular part of year 1 during the potions class. Now having played the Wii and Switch versions and part of PS4, the potions classroom lighting looked darker than it was originally in both the Wii and Switch versions.
I never played the originals or the previous collection so this is a new experience for me and I’m loving it. The last Lego game I played was Skywalker saga. I probably would never have bought the older edition today so this may bring new players to it like myself
I might get the physical PS5 version but Idk if I should get it on Steam since I wanna try out high fidelity. I could buy both versions but I have the OG 1-7 on Steam and PS3 already and the Collection for Switch 😅
I started playing yesterday and I had an absolute blast, you can really notice the difference with the lightning and graphical upscale, considering I’ve played both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions. Can’t wait to unlock all achievements on Xbox Series X. Here’s hoping we’ll see a Skywalker Saga style remake with Fantastic Beasts included sometime. 👍🏻
Honestly a Lego star wars the Skywalker treatment would sell so much money (IF the company was passionate about harry potter and LEGO.) and I LOVE the character system in that Lego game it made finding specific characters so much easier and so much fun.

Does the pc version at least have the game breaking bugs fixed? Like the sneezing torch that freezes the pc if its in sight in the patronus lesson level and the glass that doesn't break when you smash it with the bird gargoyle. If it fixes those then I'll buy the remaster.
This game is a testament to why I’m selling my PS5. It’s a Lego game from the 2010’s. It already looked fine and never needed a HD remaster. And to top it off, it sounds like they didn’t even do a Complete Saga and move it all into one game, but kept it as two This generation is nothing but cash grabs, and as soon as I realised every game I was still enjoying was a PS4 game or older, I decided to get a PS3 and be done with the worst generation in gaming Graphics aren’t everything but they are an excellent way to convince people to waste money 0:15
@@hennibsdp9528 honestly the PC thing has never crossed my mind. Expensive to start, difficult to learn and I managed to break the one emulator I’ve tried on Xbox Series X and that was super basic. I don’t have the brain space to learn all that. I like switching on a console and that’s it. Going back down the retro route and giving up on modern games for a while. I’ll regret it when GTA6 comes out but I guess I’ll just have to take the plunge when it finally does lol
I am already bought that game and what I'm gonna say about it that It's soooo buggy. Yeah you got it right. I'm only completed 1st year and I found about 5 bugs. On pc version there wasn't so many bugs. For example you can use the sharpeners from the closet even though you haven't even come to the lesson where they teach you how to use them. Some of the animations are bugged too. So I'm recommend to play on pc version but if you want to play with a good graphics than buy it. Also I'm playing on Nintendo Switch.
If it was Lego Star Wars the clone wars Lego Indians jones games and Lego Batman 1 and 2 and Lego Star Wars complete saga Lego pirates of the Caribbean it be different we have allready two collections on Lego Harry Potter

I must say, I’ve not noticed any haptics so far. Maybe they’re in the years 5-7 game but I can’t confirm that yet. The game is still extremely fun though , just like the original 😁

This needed the full Skywalker treatment not this what are they thinking? The game play stinks I only finished this cause I'm a achievement hunter not because I enjoyed it in anyway. Pirates of the caribbean needed a full Skywalker treatment too. Hogwarts legacy needed to be the better story of the first voldemort battle imagine playing as all the characters you know in a story you only know bits and pieces of. Now that's a game I would play I can't get into Hogwarts legacy the story is lame the characters are forgettable I was disappointed.
