I have always wondered why you never see Comms Radios on canal boats. Like CB Radio or VHF Radio. So Boaters could talk to each other or Lock Keepers and Marinas.
all those anodes would make me nervous. Is there a problem with hull thickness/corrosion ? I would want a hull survey before buying. otherwise a very nice boat. add a composting toilet and solar panels perhaps a washer.
I would seriously consider turning comments off... half the ones on this channel are, “60k for that?! There’s 12 better boats within walking distance of me that’ll go for 10k less” or criticisms like, “Oy, you can never trust a half trad” or other nonsense.
True there are a lot of not so good comments but the three quarters that are good are an amazing tool to learn things about the boats. When I started looking I knew all about narrow boating but nothing about the boats and over time I have gained that knowledge here. I gave up on the Chanel’s that do not have comments as when you have a question there is no one to answer it. I tried emails with the others and they ignored them so when I was ready to buy you know who got my money.
Call me cynical, but I suspect a lot of the ridiculously positive comments are left by people with a vested interest in the sale. Whatever its qualities, this boat is obviously not stunning by any measure; it has a very amateurish fit out using cheap materials. I mean, just look at the fit of the cabinet under the sink or the uneven spacing of the tiles in the bathroom, mismatching wood, laminate floor etc etc etc.
You spoke to soon he came by four hours after you, anyway he is waiting for the release of a new boat "The Sarno" 70 feet cuboards both sides front to back all with glass fronts so you can look inside.
Yes, one could describe 18 anodes as “overkill” either the seller has no concept of what a sacrificial anode does or they have been listening to some one down the pub! No galvanic isolator mentioned, might be worthwhile looking in that direction
Lovely boat but the picture windows appear not to open so poor ventilation in summer and why oh why in such a beautifully fitted bathroom is there only a dreaded Tupperware toilet?
Rocking Weeble the porta potty looks to be on a raised plinth that extends beneath the wash basin. I suspect that this boat was originally fitted with a drop through toilet, with tank beneath, as was common when this was boat constructed. Drop through toilets are functional and reliable but have their drawbacks- they can smell more so than the macerator versions with remote tank more common today. One suspects that at some point the drop through system was abandoned and rather than going to the trouble and expense of changing the whole system, and disruption of removing the redundant tank, a plastic toilet was plonked on top, no reason why not in a boat perhaps used only occasionally or for short breaks. It should be easy enough to remove the remnants of the tank and install a cassette or composting loo.
Lovely boat and well presented, thank you.
A stunning boat. 😍
I love the feel of this one. Hope the sofa comes with it.
Another stunning offer from RBS. At this price, Inkie & I is probably already sold and heading off to explore new vistas.
Why so many anodes? Has the hull turned to swiss cheese? Other than that, a pretty nice boat for the price. I'd add solar and a composting toilet.
Nice again.

You'd be mad not to have a full survey on any used boat you intend to buy, however many anodes it has.
@@chriscross9505 Especially on one this old.
Lovely boat. Love the oak. Wonderful layout. Thank you for showing all those cupboards.
What cupboards, boat has no storage. Plenty of room to fit some though. I like the roof over the well deck, good idea that.

Would 44k be considered a decent price?
Yes Rugby Boats sell quality boats and they know their market some sell in 1 day and most by 7 days
Under offer already - Not surprising really.
i would change those windows for something that opens like hatches, no cupboards so Sarno will not be happy.

@@spencerwilton5831 Thank you, it looked odd and now I know why
Free to empty.
Because that's what the previous owner preferred...?
£44,950
thanks or detail richard i wonder if she is on at agood price
Such a waste of space. Could have fit another bedroom for the little ones
Do it then. Fit in another bedroom. Don't talk about it . . be about it!
from what I have seen most people on narrow boats don't have Little ones, why tie up space when a sofa bed will do for visitors
The only waste of space would be having the little ones on the boat with you
That is the beauty of open plan it is easy to change things
Maybe the previous owner didn't have any little ones.
