Fish Rock Rd. 2nd Alarm Fire (Southbury, CT) 1/22/24
SOUTHBURY, CT - At approximately 4:45pm on January 22, 2024, the Southbury Fire Department was dispatched to 729 Fish Rock Road for a house fire. First companies on scene found a large 2 1/2 story home heavily involved in fire. Oxford was immediately called to assist in setting up a tanker shuttle for water supply. The fire would escalate to a 2nd alarm, but the fire had too large of a head start and unfortunately the home would be completely destroyed by the fire. You can see the top half of the house had already collapsed in this video. Two propane tanks were also involved. Luckily, nobody was hurt, but the Red Cross is assisting the family. Cause of the fire is under investigation.

that that there were no injuries to anyone related to this incident, yeah unfortunately when you have water issues and tankers. The time involved with setting up and getting water to the fire. As in many such incidents, the house is lost.
