I love the flexibility of USB PD, I have already converted a lot of old brick-powered devices to USB-C without much hassle, even 20v stuff. Also nice re-use of Street Lithium!
It's such an easy mod and being able to use a standard USB supply makes it so much easier! Wow, 20V I assume it was pretty low current. You soon run into issues with heat on the buck converter if it needs a lot of current
That's a really nice job! I can't believe I spent so long considering how to use the original nicad battery wires and power supply when this is just as good. Great!!
Thanks, I am very happy with both the cosmetic and functional outcome on this mod. Also it is fully reversable should I want to restore it (other than the holes I cut!) to original - not that I can see me wanting to do that 🤣
