I was running around aimlessly not realizing the game screwed up. This game has quite a few bugs so just keep it in mind

That’s something I’ve been dealing with too but on the switch…soooo many bugs, at least one per level… but if anyone is having trouble, closing the game then reopening seems to always do the trick for me.

There are levels where my game gave me the kyber brick without completing the puzzle. It did not add to my brick count, the game says it is uncollected by showing the aura highlight... but I cannot complete the brick count in that level for this reason. I also have an issue when I go and do the dogfight missions, the ones that pop up during the loading screen. My flight area is in the wrong spot. I'm surrounded by tons of asteroids, forcing me to just sit in place and rotate to fire at the enemies, and there is a low poly model of the round federal gunship without collision just blocking all sorts of view. I’ve discovered a super easy way. Where if you want to watch something while grinding studs you can. Your way is faster, this way is sorta afk. Mainly you just gotta make sure your sim doesn’t go off course. On Naboo there is a battle droid standing near a gold door and an imperial computer. As a bounty hunter with the hidden bounty ability just start blasting the droid. He will Respawn as well as drop some studs. And your combo meter goes up and when you finish the higher the meter you the more bonus studs you can get. I made a Marco and went to bed with 11 mil studs. And woke up to 44 mil studs. Again it isn’t as fast as yours suggestion, but making studs while sleeping was pretty great.

The studs multiplier is what I look forward to the MOST in LEGO games. It is SO useful, and it’s SO fun to see how far you can go through a level with 2,384 stud multipliers ALL together.
Save up your first 1 mil studs and get the data card for the first stud multiplier. Since it’s a multiplier it actually takes the same amount of time to upgrade to the next tier multiplier. Destroying cloud city in the walkers is a fast method to get studs. I now have all the stud multipliers for a few hours worth of work and over 1 billion studs to finish the story mode with.
the 4x card is WAYY more worth it. 2x as much farming but also 2x as many studs. making the 2x much quicker as well as the others. Takes a lot less time to get 2 million than you think
Rey, the Force Awakens one at least, is super beginners friendly. She is a Scavenger with a double jump, has access to Scavenger tools, has a melee weapon, and also has a blaster. So she is a good one to add to your character selection to use in free roam to get kyber crystals.
@@5knights102 yeah they did. They knew the kids would know who she is and not care about the other stuff. So they gave her everything useful to keep them entertained. I use her only for her Scavenger abilities since I’m not sure about the others and what they can do.
Here are my tips, and yes I did learn things from this video: You have to get all three beginning core perks to get the extra health so you can get the two important perks, Stud Magnet, and Collectible Detector. Though we do have the internet so you can save your kyber bricks and not get Collectible Detector. After the two core perks you want to go for the protocol droid perk that pays you for translating. You’ll be doing this a lot anyways might as well get paid for it. You can advance it however far you want. The next perk would the be the bounty Hunter perk that pays you for kills you make as a bounty Hunter. Some places have unlimited spawning enemies, so why not go for it. There are codes out there, and no they don’t break achievements, that you enter in extras that will supply you with basically every character class. So no. You don’t have to complete the story or buy any characters to start unlocking things. So just enter the codes for free characters. To get the Scavenger abilities do the Force Awakens first mission with Rey. She will build the tools and keep them. This will help you with kyber brick hunting. And yes, most important thing is to save studs for the multipliers. It has always been that way for Lego games. Once you get the first three multipliers getting the others won’t take long. And once you get all of them you’ll be able to afford any character by going through one mission. The stud multipliers also help with getting true Jedi status on missions which gets you a kyber brick. More tips: You can sometimes stand on mounts. Something like Banthas on Tattooine. Just stand on them and jump from them. Jedi’s backflips are usually higher jumps, but with someone like Qui-Gon you can swing twice to initiate combo and then jump twice and he will start his air combo which gets him some good height. Others might have combos that can help with maneuvering as well.
A couple of nice ones to include are that the hero terminals are not actually timing based, as soon as the button prompt touches the circle, you can do the thing, and another great upgrade is the bounty hunter spread shot, this makes it easier to hit enemies in combat, and makes destroying gold objects faster, yet another great one is that you can deactivate unnecessary abilities (like the extra health ones) meaning you can get all the upgrades, but have certain ones not on
06:08 i recommend to not unlock this before you finished the story for the first time. maybe you wanna play for the story in the first run and grind every gear and unlockable later. those markers on your screen can really distrack you from the game
Another reason to play the story first, the scavengers don't have their abilities until you either do the 4th level on The Empire Strikes Back or the first level on Episode 7 as these levels teach you how to use them (as well as give you the abilities for them).
Also would recommend buying Jango/Boba Fett for free play, their jet pack allows a triple jump if pressed multiple times not held down and can be an easy way getting to hard to get kyber bricks or getting that extra height needed for a tall grapple and saber users have an AOE attack if just pressing A+B if you need to destroy close together objects quickly.
one thing that i noticed is if you play by yourself you can use the force to lift your outer droid with the force and then change to it or use the force push. It can help you collect kyber bricks in difficult positions.
Noticed this too. There’s a droid NPC in one of the beginning areas that even mentions this. But had I not heard him say it … Like tips here say … listen to you NPCs
A nice tip is don't leave the high ground level. I did this as the screen went blurry and now that mission is totally gone until they patch the game. Shocking that they missed that during testing.
I got jango as soon as i could for the simple fact that he has a working jet pack so its even easier to cheese some kyber bricks by going around or forcing yourself up a wall but its worse than gliding if its a long distance its more to get close enough to grapple and skip with parts with net cannon or some weird way you would normally have to get up. Also astro mech skill tree has one for the extra studs GET IT because well every level in the original has like 3 to 4 if not more for the astromech. Also for stud multipliers its a million straight studs per upgrade if you have all past multipliers active so each one might take you around 4 to 5 levels to get that because most of the time you get around 200k to 250k straight studs a level maybe more. After x8 you can buy anything you want if you don't mind waiting for 10x because you are getting a x384 stud multiplier ever want true jedi by getting one blue stud? now you can. also Datacards are universal don't think you have to go in order, yes I recommend the x2,x4,x6,x8 multipliers first but after that you can get anything because how much money you get. You can see what parts of a map might have a data card by looking at them before you warp to it the places that have it can only have one that isn't ONE PER WORLD I think or or two worlds have 2 datacards in 2 different locations.
For one brick I used Luke to force lift C3PO onto a ledge then changed C3PO into Luke and changed the original Luke into C3PO and force lifted C3PO onto a higher ledge to get the brick.
A helpful tip is to unlock all the planets before trying to 100% them because some quests require you to travel between planets to complete them. Meaning the character or brick can't be unlocked till you find the quest on a different planet
What i did was play through episode 7 until you unlock the scavenger abilities with rey then with her and all the dlc characters you can get most of the kyber bricks as you go along in1-9
Finally getting around to this one. Thank you Xbox Gamepass I’m a few hours in and it’s clear that these are some of the best starter tips ever. Super helpful. Hear a lot of these types of videos about starting video games but these seem more on point to starters than other starter tips to other games often are. I didn’t know many of these after 3 hours
With counter cash, you can glitch out a Roger Roger droid, and make him invincible. Then you can have unlimited counters, all you have to do to make him take damage is run to a different area and come back
NOTE: Free play is NOT available from the start! You will have to play a bit first (maybe one misson or so, i unlocked it after finising Episode 1, so maybe its 1 Episode)
I just started playing the game 3 weeks ago. I usually do the story and side missions side by side, a little bit of this and a little bit of that. So I've just finished Episode 4 while I'm 37% done with the whole game and got all the stud duplicaters.
I have a tip also. Ground slam attacks have an aoe (area of effect) which mens doing that around multiple things that you can break will make it take less time to break things so you don’t have ti punch or shoot everything
Don't you need to complete a tier of upgrades before you move onto the next level? So you'd need level 1 Build, Speed and Counters in order to get to Health to unlock Stud Attraction.
Picking up this game in 2 weeks when I get paid again. I’m extremely excited cuz this is the first Lego Star Wars game I’ve played since Star Wars 3 the clone wars
PRO TIP: To farm studs! You can use the big walking droids on ANY planet, to run over planter and lamp posts and stuff and it will break and give you coins
A lot of the combat tips are in the hint menu so look there for more information if any of this was unclear, there are also smaller combat things that are not said here that are explain in that menu
Regarding buying health upgrades, unfortunately you have to purchase them to progress through the upgrade tree. I wanted stud magnet but it would not let me because I had not bought previous upgrades.
fun fact. If you do not have a scavenger yet you can reach almost all the net launcher and glider areas using the 2 player trick where one is a jedi and one is a droid and just force lift the droid to the area. if a protocal droid they can lift themselves up on a ledge. My bro and i got tons of scavenger stuff before we had a scavenger unlocked
You should know that it’s probably the glitchiest modern game you will ever play. Even years after it has come out, i still can’t do some challenges, things down out of map and I have to restart a level just to fix it. It’s insane
Thank you! Good info. And as i was hoping to learn, it is the Stud Multiplier for the win. I'm running hard at the beginning for 2 million to get 4x studs bonus. This is like a compound interest investment lol.
Other good class upgrades for money are the astromech upgrade to get money for the puzzles and the bounty hunter upgrade that gives you some money for each kill
What would you recommend? Should I play through the story and mostly focus on that and then later go back and get all the credits and loot? Or should I try and loot everything while doing the story? I just feel bad leaving all of the credits behind.
Collect the easy ones that you can see as you go. Don't go out of your way to find hidden collectibles. I have a video going over making money going up soon.
I got the game a few days ago but haven't played much And i was worried that there wasn't going to be any fight/combat in free roam and thankfully your video confirmed for me that there is
turned off the “homing shots” option thought that was pretty neat. always had a gripe about my blaster beams following ppl and coming out the barrel sideways
Managed to get all the stud multipliers (through x10) after playing four episodes (probably could have gotten it sooner if I really looked for every way to make money). Money is officially no object anymore. I smack a plant and get 500,000 studs.
As an old school player of these Lego Star Wars saga, i'm trying to play this game as simple as it was once. For example, i don't really wanna buy the studs attractor because in the original games the studs were part of entire missions. In this case although i think i'll buy it anyway. The maps are just too big
In addition to the hero and villain terminal bonus studs, there’s similar upgrades for both types of droids and one for bounty hunters that gives you studs after killing an enemy
The only thing I could add to this is to have patience because you cannot get every collectible the first time through the level in story mode, you do have to go back in free play. It's so frustrating but I always have to remind myself 😂
My tip is to find a fast way to get studs and google 5 data card locations. I did the opee search monster level in episode one trick that takes about 20-30 minutes to make 1,000,000 without a multiplier so in 3ish hours, I already had the 3,840 multiplier and cost became irrelevant
for the abilities I think it's enough to finish Episode 2 and start Episode 8. Then you should have Darth Maul, Jango Fett & Rey together with some heroes, Jedis and droids which you will get along the way.
Get the stud multiplier as fast as you can. I'm only 50 percent done and I'm sitting on 10 billion studs with all the multipliers. With all of them the stud multiplier is at x3000 and something. Literally break one item and you have true jedi. Also that's with no farming them, just playing
Can you explain to me when you grab something with the force to throw it. Or when you just demolish the thing where it stands? It is the same button and i just can not press it without knowing what action it will give.. very odd ive never expierienced something like that before. (Im on switch)
I'm honestly not going to use any of the upgrades except maybe the stud attractor one There should be difficulty options cause it's too easy for me. Still an awesome game though.
I don’t know if this a tip too but once I couldn’t jump to a spot cause it was too high. So I just too apart C-3PO and threw him there and played as him. This way you don’t need to go multiplayer.
It would have taken me probably weeks to find out you can buy stud multipliers and i most likely would have spent all my studs when i could have been making tons! I just started yesterday so I’m excited as hell to get these upgrades

More tips:
You can sometimes stand on mounts.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Good tips
The money you get for translating does not work there's no point in getting it
@@Bottom_1999 I actually haven’t seen the skill in action. The hidden bounty ability does work very well though.
@@Jociaoftrades indeed it does
A couple of nice ones to include are that the hero terminals are not actually timing based, as soon as the button prompt touches the circle, you can do the thing, and another great upgrade is the bounty hunter spread shot, this makes it easier to hit enemies in combat, and makes destroying gold objects faster, yet another great one is that you can deactivate unnecessary abilities (like the extra health ones) meaning you can get all the upgrades, but have certain ones not on
06:08 i recommend to not unlock this before you finished the story for the first time. maybe you wanna play for the story in the first run and grind every gear and unlockable later. those markers on your screen can really distrack you from the game
Another reason to play the story first, the scavengers don't have their abilities until you either do the 4th level on The Empire Strikes Back or the first level on Episode 7 as these levels teach you how to use them (as well as give you the abilities for them).
I've never played but I'm going to start today. So excited!
in saber battles counter cash is great cause of the 25 blow counters that happen every so often
This video honestly helped me a ton. Thanks man.
But had I not heard him say it …
Like tips here say … listen to you NPCs
A nice tip is don't leave the high ground level. I did this as the screen went blurry and now that mission is totally gone until they patch the game. Shocking that they missed that during testing.
These are good tips, the first one I made sure to unlock was to attract studs leveled it up all the way. Good video
Oh man, I've cheesed so many bricks by lifting droids around and quickly switching to them...
Bounty hunter 4 bolt upgrade shreds enemies. You can force lift your companion as a droid and then switch to them to skip some puzzles
5:41 btw you don't need to wait for the direction to go in the circle, once it touches the edge it will let you press it
So keen to play this game! Thanks for the tips Swany, and great review of the game earlier today!
Lmao your name
You don’t have to cut holes to break open doors- just slide left and then right back (or up then back down)
For one brick I used Luke to force lift C3PO onto a ledge then changed C3PO into Luke and changed the original Luke into C3PO and force lifted C3PO onto a higher ledge to get the brick.
A helpful tip is to unlock all the planets before trying to 100% them because some quests require you to travel between planets to complete them. Meaning the character or brick can't be unlocked till you find the quest on a different planet
I used to come to you for Star Wars battlefront 2 videos and now I’m here for Lego Star Wars. Good to be back
Bro this is going to help so much
1mil/10 tips
( I played the whole campaign of the game so I’m a bit late)
With stud multipliers counter cash can be pretty good. Not amazing but you could probably buy a small character with one counter
Good to know you can do free roam before playing the story I hope to do free roam first collecting data cards for the extras stud multipliers
The problem with that is if you go straight to free roam, you won't have anywhere to roam. the planets unlock as you progress the story.
What i did was play through episode 7 until you unlock the scavenger abilities with rey then with her and all the dlc characters you can get most of the kyber bricks as you go along in1-9
Finally getting around to this one.
Thank you Xbox Gamepass
I’m a few hours in and it’s clear that these are some of the best starter tips ever. Super helpful.
Hear a lot of these types of videos about starting video games but these seem more on point to starters than other starter tips to other games often are.
I didn’t know many of these after 3 hours
With counter cash, you can glitch out a Roger Roger droid, and make him invincible. Then you can have unlimited counters, all you have to do to make him take damage is run to a different area and come back
NOTE:
Free play is NOT available from the start! You will have to play a bit first (maybe one misson or so, i unlocked it after finising Episode 1, so maybe its 1 Episode)
I just started playing the game 3 weeks ago. I usually do the story and side missions side by side, a little bit of this and a little bit of that. So I've just finished Episode 4 while I'm 37% done with the whole game and got all the stud duplicaters.
i haven’t played lego star wars since the game boy… this new game is so complex and detailed it’s crazy
Thank you so much!! So helpful
Literally what I wanted to look for
another tip: those random space battles give a ton of money for the time you spend there. try to farm those if you need money
Never played a lego game before.
Just want to say how GOOD and FUN this title is.
I have a tip also. Ground slam attacks have an aoe (area of effect) which mens doing that around multiple things that you can break will make it take less time to break things so you don’t have ti punch or shoot everything
Or just turn into the Rancor and run over stuff
I love how easy it is to cheese some of these kyber bricks. If I find a kyber brick in the air I just use the force on r2 and pull him to it lol
Don't you need to complete a tier of upgrades before you move onto the next level? So you'd need level 1 Build, Speed and Counters in order to get to Health to unlock Stud Attraction.
Yes level one but the way I did was I upgraded my studs and collectables first then health
Grateful for the tips bud! Just started my play through yesterday, absolutely loving the game ❤
Kind of ironic how battle droids won't shoot Vader when he's literally Anakin and the Empire is everything the CIS feared the Republic would become
7:11 you can also do this by switching between to characters using the bumpers
This really helped ive hust started the game and beat 1 episode not knowing this will make the other 8 easier
A lot of the combat tips are in the hint menu so look there for more information if any of this was unclear, there are also smaller combat things that are not said here that are explain in that menu
My tip to you guys is to use a bounty hunter class character cause they are neutral
Awesome video 🔥 great tips!!
I love that the studs have more use now instead of buying characters vehicles and “special brick powers” and then never using them lol 😁
Collect all i would
@@anicrowsenjixd8918 like spending the time on levels destroying everything for coins?
Collect the easy ones that you can see as you go. Don't go out of your way to find hidden collectibles. I have a video going over making money going up soon.
I got the game a few days ago but haven't played much
And i was worried that there wasn't going to be any fight/combat in free roam and thankfully your video confirmed for me that there is
turned off the “homing shots” option thought that was pretty neat. always had a gripe about my blaster beams following ppl and coming out the barrel sideways
Managed to get all the stud multipliers (through x10) after playing four episodes (probably could have gotten it sooner if I really looked for every way to make money). Money is officially no object anymore. I smack a plant and get 500,000 studs.
last lego game i played was the 360 one the complete saga just starting this now and wow it blows that out of the water
As an old school player of these Lego Star Wars saga, i'm trying to play this game as simple as it was once. For example, i don't really wanna buy the studs attractor because in the original games the studs were part of entire missions. In this case although i think i'll buy it anyway. The maps are just too big
You are a Lego box of Miracles if anyone hasn't told you this you matter and we love you
In addition to the hero and villain terminal bonus studs, there’s similar upgrades for both types of droids and one for bounty hunters that gives you studs after killing an enemy
this video help me in the game thx SwanyPlaysGames :)
You can force lift druids, makes some puzzles easier
Appreciate you. My GF and I are about to start our first run of the game. Great tips to get studs.
Doing the same we have done about 4 hours but side tracked getting all the bricks to upgrade lol just got to the death star
Thank you! Not a single site has said exactly how to mind trick!
Took me me a second to get use to the control but I'm having a blast now anyway great video swany
i can only throw my saber, not swing it. how do i do that?
@@sebastianjacobsen312 press square or the left button on the right side of the controller for xbox
The only thing I could add to this is to have patience because you cannot get every collectible the first time through the level in story mode, you do have to go back in free play. It's so frustrating but I always have to remind myself 😂
I'd go with no auto health recover; I want this game to be more challenging.
My tip is to find a fast way to get studs and google 5 data card locations. I did the opee search monster level in episode one trick that takes about 20-30 minutes to make 1,000,000 without a multiplier so in 3ish hours, I already had the 3,840 multiplier and cost became irrelevant
Thanks for the tips, I'll save it to rewatch it later.
for the abilities I think it's enough to finish Episode 2 and start Episode 8. Then you should have Darth Maul, Jango Fett & Rey together with some heroes, Jedis and droids which you will get along the way.
May the 4th be with you... always
Get the stud multiplier as fast as you can. I'm only 50 percent done and I'm sitting on 10 billion studs with all the multipliers. With all of them the stud multiplier is at x3000 and something. Literally break one item and you have true jedi. Also that's with no farming them, just playing
i love the way you can use the force in this game most of the time i’m fighting as a jedi i won’t even use my lightsaber 😂
Can you explain to me when you grab something with the force to throw it. Or when you just demolish the thing where it stands? It is the same button and i just can not press it without knowing what action it will give.. very odd ive never expierienced something like that before. (Im on switch)
I usually don’t leave a like but you deserved it
3:58 how do you on PC?
I'm honestly not going to use any of the upgrades except maybe the stud attractor one
There should be difficulty options cause it's too easy for me. Still an awesome game though.
I don’t know if this a tip too but once I couldn’t jump to a spot cause it was too high. So I just too apart C-3PO and threw him there and played as him. This way you don’t need to go multiplayer.
The attract studs is just the magnet in subway surfers lmao
It would have taken me probably weeks to find out you can buy stud multipliers and i most likely would have spent all my studs when i could have been making tons! I just started yesterday so I’m excited as hell to get these upgrades
The tip for the abilities THANK YOU
Probably the best tips I've listened to thank you very helpful 😊
The first perk you need is a stud multiplier
