A couple of years ago I did a similar thing with a green bowl filled mostly with Himalayan rock salt, some basil, thyme I think, cinnamon, a single pound coin wedged into the salt and a green spell candle sticking out of the middle. I lit the spell candle and charged it briefly each full moon for a few months until things began to fall into place. Lets just say I was probably one of the most well off unsupported students in my final year. I mention this so people know they can totally simplify it/majiggy it and get awesome results.

I already have a money bowl, but it's Thursday, so I'll be feeding it. Mine is in a green bowl, and has a layer of rice and beans in the bottom, so my money never hits rick bottom. Along with crystals, coins, and herbs, mine has a $100 dollar bill dusted with my money drawing herb blend, and a $1000 check made out to me, which has been anointed with prosperity oil. When I feel like it's needed, I also just add a bit of coffee grounds to the jar to pump up the energy. I'd never thought of doing a cup of coffee as an offering for the money jar.
Love it; that's perfect!! I love that you have a check written out to yourself. I read somewhere that Jim Carrey did the exact same thing for himself before he got famous. Such great ideas! 👏
So after watching this for the 3rd time (a bit of synchronicity there), I made a connection that I hadn't made before. I have a grand earth trine in my astrological chart, and that manifested in my love of cooking and my love of economics/investing. I was pondering the idea of why adding rice would attract wealth, and I remembered how back in the ancient days food and cattle were considered wealth! When I cook, I LOVE making soups, stews, chili, and the like because I enjoy just layering on all the different flavors and spices. I'm new to money bowls, but I realized making a money bowl is very similar to making a stew! You add in as many different types of energy with relation to wealth: gold, silver, copper, rice, different gemstones, numerology, etc. and you can make one hell of a potent money bowl! This has given me so many ideas!
Wow that's a lot of earth energy!! I have almost zero earth in my chart. 😂 I love what you said about food and cattle being considered wealth and this is so true. There's also an old tradition at weddings where you throw rice into the air as the bride and groom leave the ceremony. It's supposed to bring good luck and prosperity to the newly married couple. And yes, making a money bowl is very similar to making a stew! ☺️

A note on timing:
Something I've only seen mentioned one time, pretty briefly, is working with the clock and drawing energy from it. As the hands of the clock fall the energy wanes, as they rise back up the energy waxes. Midnight/noon would be especially potent with both hands pointing directly up, and 6 o'clock (am or pm) would be great for a working you'd like liminality with. You can combine that with different associations for each hour as well to add another layer.
I love the energy of the moon, but I've never super jived with it in my workings (weird, I know 😂). This is also great if timing (lol) is especially tight or important and the moon is working against you.
I've used this method for years with great success, so I wanted to pass it along somewhere! 😂

I have a green bowl with a chime candleholder in the middle (anything remotely flammable kept away from the candle and nothing else flammable on the table). I add things once a month or so with prosperity/abundance associations or just intuitively and burn down a green or gold candle weekly and cleanse/charge with my singing bowl. I also keep my money oil and road opener oils on the bottom shelf of the table. Ganesh and a gnome statue sit next to it. It’s become more of a life/luck/general abundance bowl.
I have created a money bowl I have a big glass bowl silver and gold found at a second hand shop. I put rice in it with green food colour that colored the rice. I found a whole bunch of penny's and $1 coins and $2 coins I have been finding dimes and loose change in the house I add them. In the middle of the bowl I have a green candle I have a spell for. I light the candle and say the spell on the new moon to bring me wealth.😊
I technically had a money bowl. I tried to have a money bowl. Lmao but then my grandma would come by and throw the most random things in there thinking it was just a junk bowl. I would find keychains, little trinkets and sometimes mail. Tried explaining it to her, but it still happens. 😂

I had a thought that I hope will be considered with an open mind. This is probably just a matter of personal style, but I’d like to share it anyway just to put the idea out there. Regarding the use of green [fill in the blank] in money spells, green is the color of our paper money in the United States (although the ink comes off black on your hands when you count new bills). Most of us in the U.S., and many other countries, know that our financial system is a fiat system, meaning there is nothing backing that paper but air. (I was 11 or 12 when the U.S. went off the gold standard on to the current fiat system in 1972.) When we use green to represent money in spells, due to the cumulative effect of the energy used to power spells, in a sense we are bolstering an empty, corrupt system. Not everyone is going to see things the way I do, I’m old enough and wise enough to understand that. This is just a thought to consider. A much stronger, more reliable system is backed by precious metals, such as platinum, gold and silver. Before everyone throws rotten tomatoes at me due to the horrendous metal mining industry that all-too-often utilizes child slaves in the mining process, MAJOR changes are needed in that industry going forward. However, if the U.S. is back on the gold standard, we can regulate that part of the industry that supplies metals to this country, just as other countries can do the same. Back to my thought, if enough of us use gold and silver for spell work, we begin to “build the momentum,” as Abraham-Hicks would say, toward that change. I realize I’m new to magick and witchcraft but I grok the whole Maharishi Effect concept of a relatively small group having amazing results on a large target. The collective positive emotions used to power money spells 🪄 using gold and silver could have an amazing influence on creating a much more stable and sustainable monetary system! Am I the Weird One (my mother’s nickname for me) here or can anyone else see this idea?

Thank you for sharing, so sometimes I do my money bowl on a Thursday sometimes I started on a full moon I have one working right now that I started on this full moon August first, I grow 90% of the herbs that are used in my magic so am using basil mint rice and dill, 4 pennies 4 dimes and 4 nickles , and cinnamon, , I write my petition and put that in the bowl and work with it until the new moon, this was a new style for me, except the herbs, I also use catnip as well , I wish I could show you, love and blessings to you thank you for sharing, August 9 2023

Hi Ivy! I created a money bowl at the beginning of this year and have been “feeding” it almost weekly. Now it’s really full and luscious which is of course amazing! But that brings me to a question…what do you do with your money bowl at the end of the year? Do you pull everything out, cleanse and redo it? Do you rearrange things inside but leave everything as is? Just trying to figure out a game plan for next year 😅

when should i burn the candle? should i be burning it constantly or when i want money to come in? love how simple and detailed your walk-through is!
It's up to you! It also kind of depends if you're using a big candle or a bunch of small candles. My green candle is pretty large - too large to let it continuously burn. What I do is this: every Thursday when I am ready to interact with my money bowl and "feed it" more intention/energy, I light my candle. I let the candle burn while I do a short meditation. When I'm done, I snuff out the candle. Make sure you are snuffing out your candle rather than blowing the candle out if you choose this method! There is a theory among witches that if you blow out a candle, you are essentially "blowing away the magick". Therefore, any time you need to put a candle out, make sure you are snuffing it with a candle snuffer. If you have smaller candles that only burn for 30mins to 1 hour, you could light a candle next to it once a week and let it burn down completely. The reason why I'm not letting mine burn down completely is because it would take hours and hours for this candle to burn all the way down. 😂 As long as you're interacting with your money bowl on a regular basis, you're good to go! Feel free to burn the candle when you want money to come in, or burn it on a set schedule (once a week) whichever works best for you. Just make sure you don't forget to consistently feed your money bowl as well with your energy/intention. 🤗

Are they 3 different sigils for "I attract money", or are they sigils for 3 separate phrases, or planetary symbols in addition to the phrase sigil? And the silver, lidded bowl on your money bowl altar...what is its purpose please?

I find it interesting how money bowl videos are becoming more popular with being uploaded. I haven't create a money bowl yet. Tall people problems am I right? lol. I love that wood slab you used. I've been meaning to buy a natural wood slab. I also love gold. I just love the colors that were used. I like that you mentioned venus doesn't just concern love and relationships, the planets are way more vast in there energies/ influence. I mostly work with the Greek pantheon but I wouldn't mind working with Ganisha. For me one of the things I would have done is create a crystal grid, I love a crystal grid lol.

Yay, I'm so glad you made it to my channel! 🤗❤️ Ok, so here's the deal with food/drink offerings: it is very much about your personal preference and that's why the information varies so much. Whenever you are offering food or drinks to any spiritual entity, it is said that they are absorbing the energetic properties of that food/drink item. If you are an animist like me, you might believe that everything in this world carries some sort of energy (or spiritual essence) - even if we can't see it with our human eyes. And you might find that food/drink offerings go stale FASTER than other food/drink items that you leave out! A lot of people believe this is because the spiritual essence of that food/drink item is being absorbed by that spiritual entity, thus, making it go stale faster. It's pretty neat! When I am offering food or drinks to a money bowl, or my ancestors, or to any gods or goddesses, I typically leave that food/drink item out for as long as I would leave it out for myself. So for coffee in particular, coffee becomes stale about 30 minutes after letting it sit. I personally would not drink a cup of coffee after it has gone stale... So I will leave a fresh cup of coffee out for my money bowl for about 30 minutes or so until it becomes stale. Then I will remove the cup of coffee and dispose it down the drain. If you don't want to waste the cup of coffee, you can also drink it afterwards if you want. But I personally hate drinking coffee that's been sitting out for a bit, so that is a total personal preference! And same thing with my ancestors: I will leave baked goods out for about a day or two, until they've gone stale, and then I will just eat the stale baked goods or I will offer them to the birds/wildlife. Hopefully that helps!

If you want to use a waning moon for any money workings, use that moon to remove blockages or obstacles that are in the way of your prosperity.
Is there a specific place to have ur money bowl?
i wanted to use Jupiter in my money bowl and the week day Thursday that is Jupiter's day, but now Jupiter is in retrograde. should i proceed with my plan or the retrograde will effect my spell?
Hmmm, experiment and see what happens! Worst case scenario is that it won't manifest. Personally if it were me, I'd wait until Jupiter is out of retrograde before trying to manifest with the energy of Jupiter. But it probably won't come out of retrograde for a while. If you're desperate and need the money now, then you can definitely still give it a try!

Sure! You can basically say whatever you like. Every Thursday I feed energy into my money bowl and chant, "I attract money, I attract money, I attract money, As above, So below, As within, So without, So mote it be." As far as what the intentions you're putting into your bowl, you can put anything in there! Just make sure it's specific and written in the present tense.

Yes, definitely! The first thing you want to do is thank the money bowl for everything it has brought you thus far. It sounds silly, but gratitude helps you gain closure. Then you'll want to take the money bowl apart, piece by piece. You will want to smoke cleanse each item that you plan on using again. And dispose of everything else that cannot be recycled. It's pretty simple! Just make sure you are smoke cleansing the bowl afterwards and anything else that you want to save/reuse.

You can do whatever works for you! Thursdays are always great. If it were me, I would wait until after the new moon. The moon is currently waning so I would wait until it starts waxing again. But if you need to do the money bowl right now, then go for it!
How do we invoke jupiter
I have a whole video on how to invoke planetary energies, but the simplest way to invoke Jupitarian energy is to perform your money bowl working on a Thursday, and/or during the hour of Jupiter. You can also create a sigil using the planetary grid for Jupiter as well. If you want all the info on how to do that, definitely check out my planetary magick series! (There's 2 videos on planetary magick.) Invoking planetary energies can become really complex and it's too much to explain through text so definitely check it out! But if you don't want to deep dive into planetary magick, just do your money bowl on a Thursday. 😆🙏🖤

Should a money bowl be placed in the North or East part of the house? Does location even matter?
This completely depends on your culture and tradition, as there are valid arguments for both. I like placing my money bowl in my entry way where it's next to my front door and can bring money into the home. A lot of people choose to place their money bowl in the East, which in many cultures is associated with the beginning of life, as the sun rises in the east. But ultimately, the location is going to depend on how you perceive attracting abundance into your life.
