I always hate calling Page a genius, but someone who can hear and study a Mozart or Wes Montgomery piece and still always go back to a minimal but brutal song-writing canvas should be considered a master of the rock universe. Yea the lyrics got more coherent, and the song structures got more professional, and yea Page will always say those newer songs are better. But Helmet would've never scratched the surface without the lineup and the sensibilities they had from '89-'97.
As the hot sauce doused shit flies out of the front of the fan and splatters all over the place....nice. (I have no idea what any of that means, but I am chuckling)
One of the best songs on the album.
Helmet will be to me the best band in the world period hands down.
Got in to them after hearing this back in the alternative rock/grunge era, a great band.
