I’ve been requesting Rainforest Cafe since I first watched this series. Lo and behold, Julia goes to the only rainforest cafe I’ve been to. Love the content.

omg. can you believe it, Rainforest Cafe once opened a restaurant in my hometown in Beijing, China about 30 years ago. i was mind blown by their interesting restaurant and the exotic crazy american food back then.
Around February 1997, I remember going to the Rainforest Cafe in the Sawgrass Mills outlet mall in Sunrise, south Florida. The restaurant was so popular that the mall changed its Sunday closing hour from 6PM to 8PM, to accommodate the large crowds who went to the restaurant. By the entrance, there was a worker with a blue hyacinth macaw or two. Those macaws are now strictly regulated, to prevent smugglers from capturing macaws in the wild and later selling them as pets. The good old days.

If you’re having frozen drinks, or ice cream, keep a glass of room temperature water handy. When you feel the pain start, take a swig of water and hold it in your mouth for a few seconds. Works! 😁
My work puts up Christmas lights for Steven Schussler every year. The trees we put lights in always look nice and tasteful except for one that always puzzles. It’s a crabapple tree that’s no taller than 10 ft and gets wrapped in about 500 ft worth of lights. When we first did it, he did not think that was enough and has added more lights to it every year. Last I checked, it’s getting about 1440 ft of lights. Nice guy. Orders us pizza whenever we work for him.
The Rainforest Café is a beautiful place filled with the most unique decorations you could ever think of. It’s brilliant to see all the good they have to offer.

When I was 15 all I wanted for my birthday was to go to Rainforest Cafe and get a volcano brownie dessert. My parents said we could go and I could bring my 4 BFF’s. I was so excited and the day before I had a field hockey match. I got a broken finger and chipped off 3 of my front teeth. We still went and somewhere there is a picture of me smiling with my Jack O Lantern grin and my 4 BFF’s and a giant sparkler brownie volcano. It was the best! 😂 I would always get the “planet pasta” and it was always my favorite. I haven’t been to a Rainforest Cafe in years. This makes me want to go again. 😂
I wish it was as good as it looked, but it's like a lot of the food at similar chains (i.e. Planet Hollywood). You are really paying for the atmosphere, but the food and drinks are so hit and miss.
The rainforest cafe is so much fun with my kids and I'm a kid at heart so we always had fun at Disneyland and San Francisco.. Great episode for the memories.. It's the experience.. The food is ok haha
Sadly both Rainforest Cafe locations in Orange County, CA (including the one you mentioned in the Disneyland Resort) closed years ago. They did have live birds, but outside in front of the restaurant, to comply with health regulations.
Oh my gosh Rainforest cafe brings up childhood and teenager memories. I used to live in Chicago area and would go to the Woodfield Mall and downtown locations but I just saw they both closed in 2020 ☹️. Glad to see they are still around it’s a great experience. I was watching this going "why did this restaurant trigger a migraine? It's nice and dark." Then the thunderstorm started and I was like "oh, it's that restaurant." Those fake storms were really loud.
Yes, been waiting for the Rainforest Cafe! 🌴❤One of my favorite restaurants to go to! Love the idea of the animals, jungle and the whole experience, what a fun idea! All the food looked bombed but, definitely would get the nachos, salmon and shrimp, fajitas and either the cheesecake or key lime! Yum! ❤😋
