Bon Iver is one of those musicians whose surroundings at the time of recording are exactly the atmosphere that I picture while listening. Right down to that beat up gold les Paul. He seems to infuse his music with his environment and I love it
You wouldn't think a man that mostly sings in falsetto has such a low voice. Then again, if you listen to Richard Manuel sing and then talk in the last waltz, it makes sense.
he's got such a deep voice... Yet he sings so high. I love this mans and his music though. Please check out my Perth Lounge Remix on my page. I would love some honest opinions
hey, we're spin. we're going to jump on the bandwagon of anyone who has legitimate talent, then act like we're the ones who discovered him. buy our shit. give us money.
Midwest real-estate is generally fantastic compared to most of the rest of the country. Plus, Justin is a successful musician, so he can afford it anyhow.
"For Emma For ever" ago is quite a successful album worldwide, and he obviously doesn't wear couture clothing and doesn't drive a Ferrari, he just made the coolest place to do what he loves, making music!! such a inspiration honestly!
Hi I'm an annoying douche. I'll just jump on the bandwagon of hating a publication based around the arbitrary notion that they are jumping the bandwagon of my favourite artist
Every time I hear that 'Perth' intro it literally takes the breath from me, it's just shockingly fucking perfect.
OC it's the greatest song ever
Think the same!
What a cool place for cool dudes to make cool stuff
the bass in his voice shakes my headphones.
I'm pretty sure i have listened to him talk for hours and hours! My whole high school life was watching his interviews on youtube.
I love the way he says "It's when everything gets renewed" at the end. He knows it's pure genius and the smile gives it away
His speaking voice.. good God.

I love how his voice is actually super deep haha!
That's what makes for a his really good falsetto. He keeps the body of the low end which gives it the masculine tone.
This man is absolutely amazing
damien rice and bon iver both inspiring me so much .. i could listen to them over nd over !!
Oh, I totally wish I can get a studio like this someday. I SOOO want to start a band. Ahh, I love Bon Iver...
I re-watched this like 10 times.
ME TOO HOMIE

New on the bucket list - record at April Base.
when i heard the intro of Perth ... i wanna cry a lot ! god ! thank you Bon Iver and Justin
that man is flawless
the 5 seconds he plays drums at the end is the best thing ever
Perth and Woods always make me tear up :)
Wisconsin art spaces are the best art spaces. So glad to see a fellow Wisconsinite making amazing music! Let's go up North sometime!
I say this as a male who is 100% straight but you have the best voice of all time. I'd give my left ball for a voice like that.
Very cool spot!
triple yes.
PERTH!!! Great song
i wonder if he recorded 22, A Million there??
he did for sure. The place is called april base. On the album credits it says it was recorded there
wow this place looks like a dream of mine. maybe ill be invited one day.
I need a place like that. I'd spend the day recording 😭
3:23 - Someone there is a Bruce Springsteen fan. I like that.
my dream house
he uses fender Twin reverb, I have one and they are great!
@SoundedFamiliar so true.
Perth :) AMAZING song
His and James Hetfield's speaking voices are strikingly similar
couldn't find this interview for a quick second and panicked
My mom sold him this house
Jupenaattori sorry for the loss man
Carter Barstad really?
Carter Barstad what town is this in
@Wade Smith why do u like your own comments and why did you reply twice
Cool! Must be nice to see it take on a new life
@mreit28 Fair point, but at least they're offering this very interesting video for free.
You wouldn't think a man that mostly sings in falsetto has such a low voice. Then again, if you listen to Richard Manuel sing and then talk in the last waltz, it makes sense.
For him to be smoker, he has one hell of a set of lungs!
He really doesn't. Have you heard his vocals? Lol
@Wade Smith hmm
@@yoloswag6242 he has a very advanced vocal range.. especially because he can stay in falsetto for as long as he pleases.
@@yoloswag6242 lol what an ignorant bigot
goldtop deluxe.
MARRY ME
"and I bought this basketball floor" haha he's lovely in such a human way :)
that Sony C37 microphone cost at least $3,500. That is some crazy shiz.
TELL ME ABOUT IT!
cool
can i come stay there for a bit ? :D
To the one person who disliked this vid; Why?! Thats madness.
Do you want me there or not? You go on tour soon...
Anybody have a clue what amp he plays Perth on? I can't tell if it's that Fender in the shot, or something else at 0:52.
His version of paisley park I imagine most successful wealthy musicians have something like this
Justin is a good guy.
Vox AC 30 - get one if you like it, you won't regret it, I didn't !
fuck he has such a beautful raspy speaking voice ahha
I have to be out of this on Feb. 20th. Or I guess we're over.
Does anyone think they know what tuning he is using when he plays the riff at the start?
Bat Man knowing Justin it’s probably open d
Open E. (Capo at 4)
did he ever make the guitar chorus he was playing into a song?
1:42, name all those pedals for me and I'll give you a cookie
What song is that in the beginning?
Prophets Of Rock TV Perth
he's got such a deep voice... Yet he sings so high. I love this mans and his music though. Please check out my Perth Lounge Remix on my page. I would love some honest opinions
Was cool, would have been nice to see him play a song here though no...
wich one is the song right on the start?
Perth
Can't you come get me???
Anyone know what reference monitors he's using?
Adam A8X. Thats what they look like to me. Ive use the A7x's and his look bigger than that.
He also has a set of Aventone mixcubes.
I totally LOL’ed over the M1 reveal. But a good example of horrible gear being used to make beatiful music.
I didn't know he had a brother, wonder if he's part of the 8 man/woman powerhouse?
whats is the song in the beginning????/
Tori Haley "Perth"
1:51 Seriously? Once I thought things couldn't get any cooler...
I wonder if Justin ever got to talk to his first love, the one For Emma is about
hey, we're spin. we're going to jump on the bandwagon of anyone who has legitimate talent, then act like we're the ones who discovered him. buy our shit. give us money.
yeah that is Perth doofus
how the f do you afford that house?
+Kalupz it's probably not super expensive because it's way out in the country
Midwest real-estate is generally fantastic compared to most of the rest of the country. Plus, Justin is a successful musician, so he can afford it anyhow.
I live in California and this house would be over a million here.
"For Emma For ever" ago is quite a successful album worldwide, and he obviously doesn't wear couture clothing and doesn't drive a Ferrari, he just made the coolest place to do what he loves, making music!! such a inspiration honestly!
He is rich
This is all very well and cool! but where the fuck is all his money coming from? =O
mi o he’s a rich guy.
@mreit28 grow up
can yall adopt me cos im fuckified
That person is a haTeR
Hi I'm an annoying douche. I'll just jump on the bandwagon of hating a publication based around the arbitrary notion that they are jumping the bandwagon of my favourite artist
Bon Iver is a fucking band not a person...
