    this is a high-quality video, i hope you post more video essay-esque stuff like this -- it'd be cool if you did something about becoming a better calculator, like maybe a mental checklist for how you find tactics in puzzles or something

      Thank you so much! This video did take about 70 years to make because, as you said, I had to individually make all those slides plus script the whole thing. I just wanted to see what I could produce if I put loads of effort into just one video and focused mainly on yt shorts while I was doing that to keep the channel growing. I really appreciate your support man, thank you for the kind words!

    Great video. I have also found "the dark forest" analogy very useful. I'm not sure if you know the song A Forest by The Cure, but a while ago I started playing that on a loop while playing online games. It helped me remember Tal's quote. It didn't change my ELO much online, but since doing it I have been getting a lot of wins at the club. I'm not sure if it is the song distracting other club members or the fact that I have started to physically resemble Robert Smith that has caused my sudden surge in ratings, doesn't matter as a win is a win! Anyway., great tips. Thanks

  • @drakulanote
    @drakulanote 11 месяцев назад +1

    i have a question "i didnt see the video yet"
    but how we can study an opening while we could have so many many answers, for example, i try to discover the sisilian defense, 'I am 1200-1300 player" but its so weird, we have so many answers with white than almost nobody follows the main line, the D4 third move that attacks the center with a second pawn, its clearly impossible that someone will play it, i mean with my little experience...
    Thank u for reading and maybee answering.. have a good day
