Also if I’m a USADA fighter and I go into a boxing match against someone that hasn’t been getting tested….. I’m not sure about that
All boxers take stuff and if I’m Suga Sean I take whatever short acting PEDs that my opponent is going to take and won’t show up on a USADA test when I come back into UFC.
That’s why it’s very tricky going from UFC to boxing, you’re fighting against someone that is barely drug testing, you have to hop in and out of the pools, the money from a Ryan Garcia fight would probably be 10times a payday as a normal ufc fight I think

Lol, people in this comment section are talking as if Chito Vera is a bum or something. It's stupid. The thing people need to realize is that Dana White can only push a guy so far, even if he is marketable to the public. Eventually, every fighter still has to face the top of the crop in order to get anywhere in the sport. Sean O'Malley just happens to be one of those guys who had things go his way against the two best fighters in the Bantamweight division as soon as he started fighting top 15 opponents. People act like Sean was given a gift in having to face killers like Yan, and Aljo who both reside at the deep end of the pool in that division. It's never good enough for haters. If Sean would have lost to Yan, he would have been stuck in the middle of the top 15 having to work his way back up for a title shot, and people would be saying that Sean was all hype. Instead, he got the job done against Yan, and got an immediate title shot against another guy who was supposed to destroy him. Since O'Malley won those fights, the haters are saying that Sean got fast tracked to the belt. O'Malley is damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't. It's stupid, because to get anywhere in mma, you have to beat the top guys eventually, and that's what Sean did. It just so happens that Sean O'Malley had things go his way immediately in his biggest fights. Look at Bisping championship path as an example. Despite being a great fighter in his own right, Bisping had a more difficult, and lengthy road to the championship because he suffered some big setbacks in fights that he had the potential to win. It's partially physical, mental, and strategic preparation, and you also need a little bit of good fortune to go with it. Everyone has their own journey to the top, and some get there faster than others. Most never get there despite being near the top for a long time. Every UFC champion earns their title by beating the top of the crop regardless of the path they took to get there.
I like sean, but he doesn't deserve to get anything close to the mcgregor route. He has 0 charisma on the mic(watch the ufc 292 press conference), he is popular but not even comparable to conors level of stardom at his peak, he's very skilled but still not like conor was, and has fought way less than mcgregor did before his mayweather fight. And he has no chance against tank.

Plus, Chito is a bigger story line. "The new champ avenging his only loss" is better than "The new champ verses a guy who refuses title shots but got handed a jacket 1 time"

Cejudo's a great fighter, but he's too small for bantamweight and his mma grappling is overrated as all hell, he's good in open space, but clueless on the ground and against the cage.
He wants no part of Dvalishvili or Sandhagen, plus Dana does not want his cash cow to be a one and done champion. He got lucky against Sterling and will lose the belt after the Vera fight.

I know O'Malley didn't fight the top 15 until his last 2 fights, but he beat the two top dogs in the Bantamweight division back to back. If that doesn't say he is the champ, I don't know what does. Winning fights, and losing fights is all that matters to a fighters UFC success at the end of the day. Dana White can only push a guy so far before they have to prove themselves. If Sean lost his fight against Yan, he would have been stuck in the top 15 slowly working his way back up. Instead, he beat Yan, and got the title shot, then he took advantage of that title shot by TKOing the guy who was being considered to be a top 3 Bantamweight in UFC history in just the second round of the fight. In the UFC, you can bide your time, but to get anywhere significant, you eventually have to face the big dogs. If you win those big matchups, your rise happens insanely quickly to a title shot, but if you lose, your path becomes a lot more complicated. That's why Bisping took so long to claim his title despite being a legendary fighter in his own right. Sean was one of the guys that was able to take advantage of his early opportunities, so he got the title shot, and beat the champion to claim his belt without having to go through absolute chaos to achieve it. If you want to look at Sean as a product that Dana White wanted to push, you would be partially correct, but Sean still had to fight the top of the crop to get where he is.
