Great video, has helped a lot regarding the rear axle as I built mine yesterday but I couldn't link the lower adjustable bars because the shaft is too long and I don't think I have a smaller one.
Nice video, good shots of the gear box when you had it disassembled.I also bought a b-3 and did the same upgrades. Just a thought with your first gear problems, have you checked the travel on the shift servo. In the video it looks like it goes about 45' therefore not fully engaging. I had to set the endpoints on my radio so the servo is at about 90' (parallel to the ground) when engaged in 1st gear and you can adjust the little plastic fork by sliding it on the metal shaft for fine tuning. I also shaved the edges of the shift servo horn for smoother engagement. So far mine is doing well driving on my back yard course men't for 1/10 scale.
The WPL B36 URAL metal drive train upgrade is finally done! In this video, I'm going to show you many details, the 2 speed shifting gearbox, the Arduino Diesel sound simulator and much more. if you like this video, subscribe and turn on notifications, so you don't miss upcoming episodes. See you!
upgraded my 2speed transmission to the metal gear set, and it blew the plastic prop shafts within minutes, also have a brushless motor and esc coming, and the metal front axle...X2 as this will be for my eachine oshkosh 8x8 conversion. still did not get a wpl truck, sofar stayed with eachine/ fayee and jjrc.
Hey buddy nice video. I want to upgrade my wplb16 truck with 2 speed motor. Could you please list other accessories I have to buy with this to make my truck run. Thank you
Im planning to buy the WPL B36 RTR, my first crawler/offroader rc car so does it have enough power for offroading stock and can you go slow with it when stock or only full speed? And if i will uprage it with that 2 speed motor, do i need to buy anything else for it to work? Can the stock drivetrain handle the power the new motor, gearbox makes? Does the 2 speed motor fit into there? Can i connect the motor and the servo, that changes the speed to other stock components? And do the truck or the transmission break often?
Hi, i purchased a 370 Upgraded motor for my Ural B 36. I have a question: Its really mandatory to purchase the metal axles and props to use the new 370 motor or i can keep the stock plastic ones? Thanks in advance
Hello, I want to upgrade my b36 to 2 speed gearbox too. Now I have transmitter Flysky GT3B with receiver GT3E. I also have Li-Po 7.4V battery. Could you recommend me an ESC that support all my material? Thank for your helping!
Hey, I'm following your channel for a long time now and I'm planning to start a project, but some doubts about your 'RC System' came in my mind: 1 - Can I use separated parts/components and just wiring them up without a integrated PCB? I can't order the custom PCBs right now! 2 - Can I use a different motor driver to the receiver system? I have to use a VNH2SP30 for my 2 DC Motors that pull 6A (stall) and 1.6A (current) each. 3 - Can I use your open source software to control 1 Servo Motor with continuous rotation? 4 - It's obligatory to use the 'Burn Bootload' method with any Atmega328p Arduinos? Cause I don't have any spare Arduinos, just 2 Arduino Uno (One for the Transmiter and one for the Receiver). Finally, but not least, great video and keep it up! Thanks for your time!
Hi, 1 - yes, you can use separate components. Have a look at this video: ruclips.net/video/yzYWgpmcsE4/видео.html or this: ruclips.net/video/HNjLZuy2b2A/видео.html 2 - Yes, you can, but you will have to change the control logic, because this driver IC uses two direction inputs. The easiest way would be to take my TB6612FNG library as a base and then change the control logic. 3 - No, because there is no position feedback 4 - No. The only change in my custom boot loader is the lower brown out voltage of 1.8V. It is intended to make the system more robust in low voltage (1S LiPo, 3.7V) applications Make sure, you use a 3.3V regulator for the NRF24L01+ supply Good luck with your project.
@@TheDIYGuy999 Wow, that was a super fast reply! 1 - Thanks, those videos will be helpfull to me! 2 - Ok, I'll try to do it, hopefully works! 3 - Oh... I thought that the Modded Servo Motor would work fine, cause I saw in one of your videos ("...RD-D2 Robot Build...") that you modified/used two Servo Motors. Could you explain to me how you control both of them in continuous rotation mode? About the Servo again: Can I use the PCA9685 Servo Controller in the Receiver System or just plug the Servos directly in the Arduino Uno is fine? 4 - Oh, I watched it again and now I realise that you showed 2 methods to upload the program to Arduino and you only used the 'Burn Bootloader' method with Mini Pro if I undestand correctly. I should've pay more attention to it hahaha! Thank you very much for your help and advices, sir!
The modded servos in the R2-D2 don't have a potentiometer anymore and the internal motor driver IC was removed as well. So they are just gear motors and are connected to the two TB6612FNG outputs. You don't need a PCA9685. The ATmega 328P on your Uno is generating the servo control signals directly. For more details have a close look at the receiver schematic on my GitHub.
Smoothing the 5V supply for the receiver, the sound unit and the servos. This rail is heavily loaded in this truck, so a bit more smoothing capacity is a good idea.
Hie sir wonderful sound and video I purchased new rtr version truck I wanna to give diz sound to my truck can u plz help me m new to diz world not aware of any parts can u plz help me
Hi, thanks for the praise. This unit is relatively difficult to build, if you don't have electronics experience. You can find all files to build one on my GitHub. Links are in the description. The simplest solution is this WPL remote with sound: www.banggood.com/1-Set-WPL-B-1-B16-B24-B36-C14-C24-116-Rc-Car-Parts-Original-Engine-Sound-System-p-1423158.html?p=NZ29024828314201605E
Yes, B36 URAL is the best of WPL's products. I have got too. Nice presentation .
Thanks

Speed?
witn new metal CVD has the angle of the wheels increased?
No, the angle is still limited by the linkages

Thumbs up for this excellent video : )
Thank you
Are you going to do another hackintosh coverson soon
his hackintoshes are legendary
At the moment I just don‘t need an additional computer. The existing ones still work fine. I may update the MacAudio soon.
good job, nice mods
Thanks
did you strip the plastic gears?
no
Hi, i purchased a 370 Upgraded motor for my Ural B 36. I have a question: Its really mandatory to purchase the metal axles and props to use the new 370 motor or i can keep the stock plastic ones? Thanks in advance
Hi, the problem is the different gearbox output shaft. It has a flat and is not knurled. So you need a prop shaft with set screw
Thank you for the helpful video! How could I acquire a shift lever for the 2 speed gear box like you have? My spring isn’t strong enough, like yours.
You're welcome. You can order this lever printed on my Thingiverse: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3222442
Just use the button "Order This Printed"
TheDIYGuy999 ok thanks. I only have access to the iPhone Mobil version of this. I’m trying to figure it out but it is a little tricky.

You can find the link to the recommended 10A ESC in the video description.
Thank you for your help! I’ll buy it. But I still want to know the difference between ESC 10A, 20A & 30A can you explain me? Thank...
A is the maximum coninuous motor current in Ampere. The bigger the motor, the bigger your ESC needs to be.
So it mean that this motor gearbox 2 speed will work with this 10A ESC only right?
You can also use a 20 or 30A ESC, but 10A is enough for this motor.
Thank You very interesting, dear friend, can You provide motor rpms , voltages and appropriate currents?

You don't need a PCA9685. The ATmega 328P on your Uno is generating the servo control signals directly. For more details have a close look at the receiver schematic on my GitHub.

Okay, I'll take a look at the receiver schematics!
Thank you for your clarification, sir! Have a good one!
whats the capacitor for?

Неужели Heng Long под себя подтянули эту одноминутную шнягу, которая умирает на 5 день?! Это большой минус фирме!
This is not disel URAL,the cabin is not the same, close air intakes
I think I'm getting a 2 speed
