Great video as always Hoch! Day one purchase for me, but they’ve had my interest since this plane was announced!!! After reading about the “Airline Ops” feature, I’m really intrigued and can’t wait to see if it’s worth the additional hype or if it’s more of a gimmick that we’ll turn off eventually. Can’t say I’ve ever seen this incorporated into one of our sim aircraft before, so kudos to them for taking the time to make this experience that much more in depth. Would love to hear your thoughts (similar to what you did on the PMDG 737) on if it’s a worthwhile investment after this latest update.
It's an interesting feature to have that level of detail with communicating with company. I doubt I'll ever use it, but it's little things like this that give them credence to the idea this is a fully featured aircraft....dare I say, study level.
FBW shouldn’t feel threatened by Fenix. It’s two different aircrafts. If anything FBW could use the fenix product as a template to further develop their product to give people more a320 variants to choose from from the different developers
@@outermarker5801 pointy elbows.....🤣. I fly in VR and to see the 737 fully functional and in real scale, such a complex system is just marvelous and it's really FPS friendly. Looking forward to the fenix s320.
@@hochmaniac As a rule don't care about wearNtear, aging etc, yet those seat covers look pretty disgusting, if the aircraft was £40..i could live them,. The Fenix on the other hand ticks all the boxes, fits my budget, preference and overall expectations for an airliner. The PMDG 737 is superb other than those seat covers, must be getting OCD in my old age, haha
The price is reasonable , I guess with the already established user base of the FlybyWire A320 which is free they had to come up with a feeling price that can tempt people away from the FlybyWire. Hence the great detail they have done in the blogs and videos as well as the loading and simbrief integration etc which the Flybywire already has. The upside for FlyByWire on this is that they will extend their product to get closer to the FenixA320. The downside for FlyByWire is the loss of users and thus interest in the product. The upside for Fenix is that they may already have a 'customer profile' in that many will have Flybywire and see this product as a more finished product. The downside for Fenix is that Flybywire will start adding more features to compete I,e, those INOP things in their cockpit. Overall I think the two together can exist and most probably including myself will eventually have both versions. Will Asobo and Microsoft update their Airbus in the future aa well that's anyones guess but hey we will soon have three AIRBUS for MSFS2020. Just hope that Fenix and or FlybyWire extend their work to the A340,A350 or even A380 in the future
I will buy this plane for sure no matter how much it will cost this airplane will be the PMDG killer in every aspect graphics ,physics level of details etc I am waiting for this plane to release to spend my hard working earnings
They will not kill pmdg, there are people who like airbus and who like Boeing, i personally like both, since they are quite different aircrafts in terms of systems.
Nah pmdg is beyond fine. There’s plenty of us who love Boeing and can’t wait for their 777. I will get my hands on this fenix a320 for sure also looking forward for the A350
arent simmers supposed to be smarter than this ?? realism is guess are not present in some simmers i guess one addon cannot kill another one. because like addons, simmer differ
The problem with any new product is meeting the expectations of users , yes it seems it will be a very good aircraft if you like flying the Airbus series . However there will always be some that will buy it and fly a couple of times and then 'Rubbish it' on forums because sometimes they simply cannot be bothered to go through all of the software and see what there is and what it can do.
Nice video. I fly only A320 on my channel but i still feel that is a bit on the costlier side for ppl in Asia and unfortunately i might not be able to get my hands on the craft once it is released despite the fact that i was so waiting for it.
I didn't bother with PMDG...I'm waiting for this! I don't have any payware A320 series, but I DO have excellent 737's. So it's also a good choice for fleet fulfillment. I find PMDG very sterile, no matter how good.
If it was a jab at anyone I would say the Leonardo MadDog. PMDG was priced fairly well, and the 600 is supposed to be around $50. So not sure why they would crack on them.
This has nothing to do with PMDG. Each product must stand on it's own merits. This _looks_ fantastic, but until it's actually released and running on a wide variety of user setups, it's a complete unknown. It could be absolutely brilliant and bug free, or a frame hogging memory leaking mess of CTDs. Only time will tell but hoping of course for the former.
My question is, will Fenix include the IAE variant or will it just purely be for the CFM variant. If it’s just the cfm variant that would be a deal breaker for me since all the airlines I’d be flying in the sim all have the IAE engines.
@@Krahamus Yeah true just don’t want to spend the money until it’s actually in the sim since there’s a lot of other things I could do with before that happens
@@Ryandiggs just been watching the NDA streaming today of the aircraft on RUclips and twitch and I can confirm that Fenix has said the the IAE and Sharklets will be a free update to the Initial release.
the constant comparison beteren addons is irrational as simming itself. comparing a 737 to a a320 makes about as much sense as comparing a radio controlles airplane and a baby seat in a car, totally non sensical airlines todsy fly both and so should simmers was totally naive to think msfs would not ne filled with the same toxicity as p3d and xplane is
I've seen a lot of people trashing PMDG on forum's and I'm wondering why. The plane seems like a great value for the price. Is it because it didn't contain the EFB or the 800 variant at launch? Hopefully Fenix will release an a321 so we can have both the 737 family and a320 family.
Relative to fsx and p3d products the pmdg offers for msfs are actually pretty good all things considered, it’s just seeing as fenix has built a product much more immersive for a lower price people don’t really get why pmdg isn’t considering lowering its costs even more
It depends on people why they trash, some of then jumped from a320 and expected everything mostly to be similar, some people trash because they not really read news that efb, better textures etc coming later, and presume its final product, some angry because first came 700 not so much popular model, witch is marketing trick to buy this one since lots of people can't wait longer, to get extra money, and than with 800, 900 will come even more people
@@InYourWalls101 Yea, I think the big put off was the decision to drip feed the releases as to maximize hype/sales for each variant. The decision to drop the 700 first is really strange from a business and customer relations standpoint. Although the Fenix a320 looks really good can we say for certain it will be higher fidelity than PMDG? The only thing I have seen so far that looks better is the interior modelling, which PMDG said will be addressed in one of their bi weekly service updates which will go on for another 24 weeks. I will likely purchase both products regardless once I have the financial means. I really hope PMDG gets the EFB right once they add it, the fenix one looks amazing as is the one in the FBW A32NX
@@Krahamus Completely agree. The shell game PMDG is playing gives them bad optics. Robert said the 737 is in "active development" until they release the 900, meaning features will be drip fed in to the product. I feel like the quality of the product will increase massively once the EFB is added, that's what really jump started the FBW A32NX, It adds so many quality of life improvements and realism.

makes sense - puts them at a clear pricing advantage against PMDG.
