The Nuggets have the right players and the right culture for him to thrive, and yes, Jokic is the main reason. I have A LOT to say about this topic, but don't have time for a big write up. Condensed version is they're BOTH helping each other, and Russ is actually showing a damn solid ball IQ. Russ is making the best entry passes Jokic has ever got. He's also learning Jokic tendencies and how to work off him very quickly, credit to Russ.
Joker is straight up the greatest offensive engine ever, by a country mile. He can take ANY player and help them play to their strengths, iys unreal. But again, Russ only took like 4 games to really realize how damn good Jokic is, and is making great cuts, and is reading Jokers post-ups fantastic. It is genuinely hilarious the MONUMENTAL GAP between Jokic as a floor-raiser, and casuals and the media just saying it about lebron. But with Russ specifically, there's no ignoring it. They can't. They made it CRYSTAL CLEAR that it was all Russ fault, and Bron had nothing he could do with such a washed, terrible player. I know it's not true, but I wish Joker wanted Russ just to prove Bron is not who the media says he is, and never has been. Roleplayers and other stars have NEVER played better with Bron, and the completely opposite is true of Jokic, he takes g leaguers and makes them ASSETS.
Now, lastly, I think Jokic wanted Russ for PACE. Joker ALWAYS wanted to RUN, push the pace, off every single rebound, but Murray and his roster always played slow. Man, its looking great so far, and hilarious how good russ looks.

Nah we gotta be real here. Westbrook has been solid the past seasons and literally had some of his most efficient seasons and literally his most efficient season(49%) only 2 years ago and last year 46%.
Everybody was also saying the Nuggets werent contending after 3 games. That quieted down real quick. Jokic will make any player better. However lets give Westbrook the credit for it as well. He did a lot to become a solid role player from a star player. Hell even at the Lakers he shot solid percentages even with the clear wrong fit. He was just scapegoated.
Murray also averages 26 points on solid percentages in the playoffs and has came up clutch time and time again for the Nuggets. He plays better than a lot players we'd consider better than Murray once playoffs hit comparable to a Jimmy Butler who hits like 15 points the regular season only to rack up 25+ to 35+ games in the playoffs.
Last year dude played through injuries and still came up clutch multiple games with gamewinners on top of it.
That being said, the Nuggets just have a 'good solid' starting lineup and barely a bench for the past years. In this regard its simply Jokic elevating them to contenders.

Russ didn't need saving. He needed to be with a competent franchise.

Russ and Jokic are a great fit. Bron took up the top of the key and wing , typically where Russ likes to cut from - joker however posts up and takes the perfect space that allows Russ to cut from his ideal angles

People really underlook what he accomplished during his second MVP when Aaron Gordon was the only NBA starter caliber teammate he played with. He put up insane numbers playing with guys who within the next year or 2 were either out of the league entirely(Forbes, Rivers, Campazzo, Howard, Cousins, Reed, Dozier) or had limited roles as backups on other teams (JaMychal, Monte, Barton, Bones, and Bol Bol). And he even beat Giannis and Embiid in their head to head matchups, plus even had a better defensive rating than both that year. The only reason Denver didn't have a better record was because they had a woeful 3-9 record in games without Jokic, not even counting games he left early from injury or ejection which they all lost also.

Perkins was an all-time great center in the NBA. Definitely top 5. Also, he is an all-time great commentator. Definitely top 5. 😅😅😊 Also. He's a great comedian, top 5 of all time.😅😅😅😅

It's not even just that he's good at all of those things, it's that he is good at those things in the post and at the perimeter. One of the biggest differences between LeBron and Jokic as playmakers is that Jokic sets up his teammates a lot more in the post than Bron and Bron, while has a great post game, is running in traditional PG spots like the top of the 3 point line. If both Russ and LeBron are playing in the same spots, that's hard to manage - with Jokic, he is able to clear out the lane for Russell to make things happen because he can either GTFO when he attacks the rim, and rebound - when Russ is on the floor, nothing is getting taken away from Jokic' playstyle.

Joker is like that customizable game character with maxed stats on everything. 😂

Jokic is just a baller, goes about his business, and apparently there is no gaslighting in the Denver locker room. Those factors alone give Westbrook room to be himself. He will still lapse into some erratic play but that comes with the territory of having Russ on your team. Plus, Westbrook is finally free of Lakers media, which was on attack mode vs. anyone not named LeBron James.

We need to slow down people. Even though it's yoker, we're dealing with Westbrook. So give it time prepared. Westbrook is a little bit unpredictable and could easily get you to buy into him as easily as you'll make you look stupid

With Jokic's passing, all a player needs to do is spot up for a three. If they can't do that, cut to the basket. Ideally, one should mix both and bam instant value. His ability to elevate his teammates is by far the best in the NBA.

There’s also a motion offense going on with Jokic. Jokic is such a good passer that you want to have those passing options for him.

@@Spider-Complexion Yep, keep moving until he finds the open man (especially if they double team), and if not he'll go to work himself. It all revolves around him whether a direct pick and roll or otherwise.
