Vietnamese government would support Chengdu Provisional Government, for they are led by a ideologically friendly and familiar party (the CCP). Both the CCP and the CPV are pragmatic and nominally socialist. The Chengdu Provisional Government also bordered Vietnam, and they would cooperate in controlling war refugees fleeing to Vietnam. Vietnam will also support other moderate CCP leaders, including Zhou Yongkang, Bo Xilai and Wang Yang. Vietnam also needs to cooperate with the Free Republic on the South China Sea territorial disputes, and the Free Republic may make some concessions to Vietnam on the South China Sea issue.
