We’ve been watching this whole series with breezy and her pups! Thank you so much! We’re expecting a litter of 4or 5 Danes! So excited !! Very informative and detailed, thank you!
I adopted an adult GSP from the humane society last year. Didn’t know what a GSP was until I was signing the adoption papers. He is a sweet dog and I love him along my other doggies!
Oh the puppy breath overload!! I'm in heaven!! I'm available to puppy-sit if you need to run errands or just maybe let Calgon take you away for a bit! LMAO!!
You guys and your videos are amazing, the love an compassions you show towards all the dogs is so nice too seeI will definitely be getting my next puppy through you guys and kat you definitely need your own show!!!
These videos are so informative, thank you, thank you, thank you for them, you two are awesome 🙌🏻👏🏻 I have a litter of four Corgi puppies (16 days old today) and feel overwhelmed, so I couldn’t possibly imagine :gasp: TEN 😆
Thank you so much for your detailed videos! We just wormed our litter at 4 weeks and I was NOT prepared for the size of the roundworms in the puppy poops! I felt so sorry for the little guys, and was alarmed because we keep them, Momma, and their area so clean. Do you guys find that as well, or do they not have many worms at 4 weeks? I certainly understand not wanting to show the worms, as I am not sharing that with my social media followers because it is a bit shocking and pretty gross. Even though momma was wormed and has always been on heartworm meds she definitely transferred roundworms to the puppies through nursing. I think if we have another litter I might start worming at 3 weeks (maybe even 2 as recommended by some folks and the worming meds) to get them out earlier since you can't prevent the transfer of worms from Momma to puppies.
The qualities you display in the video(s) (so far I watched the May 25 puppies being born --- 1 hr 20 min video and this one) are the very qualities that are missing in today's world in many Americans. May God Bless You and Your Business. On a side note, do you breed German Shepherd Dogs (the GSDs)?
How do you clean the poop from the puppies? With that many puppies. We have 7 puppies and it's a handful with their pooping and urinating all over the place. We use pee pads and their 5 weeks tomorrow. Do we take them outside to pee from now on or what do I do. It's a lot of work.
@@lyndapothoven9088 um, purebred dogs often have extremely terrible help problems, cross breeding is the only way species survive, because different breeds offer different things that help keep the animal alive.
@@aureliaanderson9156 that's why you only breed from health tested dogs. I'm not sure where you get your information from. Breeding from two different breeds that haven't been health tested gives you double the health issues.
Both mixed and purebred can cause problems if not health tested. But, I breed pure bred dogs and gotta admit that mixed bred dogs have better longetivity. It indeed is better to expand the genepool. The only thing for your mix breeds is to make sure that they get good homes because mixed bred dogs are the majority that go to the pound. It is sad but society likes purebred dogs because they are "purebred."
I believe they dock tails because these puppies are breed with being a bird dog in mind. With that being said, a docked tail will prevent injuries in the future and make it a big easier for the dogs to work
Of all the pup feeding clips i have watched ive never seen pups feed at a more frantic pace than this. When I bred pups I fed them 4 times a day not 3 as they wd get far too hungry only on 3. I used a large flat bowl like that and filled it full. when they had 3 meals a day they ate too fast and too much. at 4 meals a day they ate at a more normal pace and a bit less which enabled all the pups to get what they needed and no stomach too full which could cause problems for them and food guarding issues in future because they learned as pups they were always hungry. nice grassy yard for them just look at their natural hunting dog noses go straight to ground eh!
They are still also nursing on momma at this age. So aren’t getting all of their food from kibble. However, we pref puppies to learn to eat when food is offered so they learn good eating habits and are food motivated when it comes to training.
@@StandingStoneKennels yes i know that. but ive never seen pups in any breeding operation as hungry as these ones. once my pups ate solid food they were far more interested in solid food than mm. when i fed 4 meals per day all the pups ate readily and the whole bowl was finished every time. panic eating n too full stomachs concerns me thats all
If you saw my brood of 12, you'd say these were light weights in the diving for food category. :-) I never had to pick one up and show them where the bowl was. And this was even for the first time - they all just knew what food was, instinctively. I never had to put their noses to the food or put any on my finger; I put that first tray of mush down and they dove in! As soon as they saw me carrying the two food bowls towards their pen they charged the gate in anticipation - tumbling all over themselves to get their noses in first. I fed them 4 times a day at first - then down to 3 times as they got closer to going to their new homes so they would be used to most folks schedule.
That's a lot of puppies! Which means a lot of money right? 🤑🤑🤑 I always wonder if breeders make all this money and charge so much per puppy, they should be able to take good care of them no? I certainly would expect it. 😁
More puppies does mean more of a profit being made, but if you do everything correctly like pay for a stud fee schedule doctor visits, put money aside for a emergency C section, shots and testing for each pup and the mom it is very costly 5-10k easy, and thats money you invest up front with a possibility to loose pups, and the mamma then you lost everything including your money, and the amount of time it takes to raise and clean the pups for 8 weeks spending around the clock taking care of them and loosing large amount of sleep hoping the mother doesn't try to kill her puppies or dis own them it can get very stressful its a lot of money invested but a lot more time so in conclusion breeders can charge any amount they want because they did the research, and stay up long nights loosing sleep for 2 months the customer only see the cute little puppy in the end not knowing it is a lot of work
Thanks for watching. A lot of puppies when they are first starting to learn to eat need to eat with their pack (littermates) to feel comfortable eating. If we tried to feed them separately at this early of an age some wouldn’t eat at all or wouldn’t stay focused long enough to eat their portion!
Great that this starts outside at 4 weeks. A lot of puppies have potty training issues when owners get them from breeder due to pee pads. Good job.
Thank you! Potty training and learning good habits is so important!

I think of heaven as being surrounded by a litter of GSP puppies.

What kind of wormer medicine do you use? My pups hate theirs!
I like that pup and that one and that one and the other one and the one with spots ya.
Lovely. great job - we have two GSPs both rescues, the best sweetest dogs ever...of course they do take after their owners... allegedly 🙄😁
So true! Love it!
Do you have to give them medicine? Like the wormer?

Can you take the puppies outside without having shots ?

At that age they are going out ton and we scoop all of it inside and out. Yes it is work. We haven’t found an easy way around that.
@@StandingStoneKennels do you recommend feeding them dry puppy food at that age? Or milk replacement for puppies until a certain age?
For a second, the last dog you got out of the bucket, I thought it was dead. 😅
What medication are you giving them? Can you share name please?
Standing stone kennels what are they eating on this video?? Thanks
How many females and males? What is an average litter size that you see from GSP? Ty
Love to have one !!
Hi. Thanks for the info. I'm about to have a litter of Golden's and I'm freaking out. 😂
When do you start taking them outside after eating?
Thanks.
so many of me!! 🐶
What wormer do you use? I need to get some for my babes and was curious what you guys use
Any tips on which dog my dog should have puppies with? She’s a boxer hound, and the two contenders are a husky wolf or a lab-Dalmatian.
None. Don't cross breed 😡

nice breed , not biting one another
Why not try 2 seperated feeding bowls so they aren't climbing over each other?
What qualifications in veterinary care did you need to become a dog breeder?
How many puppies does a female gsp have in its first litter?
Do you have any black roan pups available
what is the medicine?
Dog videos make me so happy. I just love dogs. God's greatest gift to mankind. And it is no coincidence that Dog spelled backward is God!

What kinda wormer is that
How old are they?
I'm having a cute attack.

Guiero uno
Why are you medicating them?
Are germany pointers?Or english pointers what races are these?
German Shorthaired Pointers. They're not called races, they're called breeds.
Tail docking is illegal in most civilized nations. Should be here too. No good reason for it. Have had two GSPs. No docking No problem
Did she say her name was Cat? 😂
Kat the dog trainer!!
@@StandingStoneKennels very apt! 😀
