I didn’t have to be patient very long, thank you! Brian took 4th place on AGT and like a lot of people I felt he should have won. He grew up in California but moved to NYC at age 17 to work on Broadway. Grease, Wicked and more. He was in Queen’s We Will Rock You and won a few awards for that performance. But he has always wanted to be a “pop” star so now he is touring and singing on RUclips. Thank you Ken, kind of fun finding someone you didn’t know.
I think the reason he did not win was because his self presentation was confusing. I left his performances in awe, but the whole experience was clouded by the bullying victim for being gay issue which distracted from his perfection. He should be more than just a gay icon. He is a universally brilliant artist.
Brian sang a very emotional "Creep" on agt.I rarely have goosebumps but for some reason he makes that happen, with this song at least. And if I'm not mistaken,he had acting classes, participated in musicals so maybe Broadway as well.Thank you.good night from Mallorca ❤
This is the first performance of this song that I have actually understood every single word. His ability to sing clearly and articulate is astounding. I love Celine’s recording, but never understood the opening verse. Bravo. I Love Brian Justin Crum
Brian should have won AGT.....must have been some conspiracy to prevent him from winning😅😅 You MUST react to his rendition of CREEP.... the best.... Amazing humble man AND wonderfully talented singer.... Long career ahead for him..... :Just a very brief update on Brian; He won a few Best Actor in Musical Awards for his performances and garnered reviews that considered him as "a Triumph." But besides his acting career, Crum is now pursuing a new career in Pop music, currently in Los Angeles, California. Check him out on Wikipedia
Brian Justin Crum was in the Broadway Chorus of Wicked, I believe, before returning to LA and then appearing on AGT. There's a TED talk I think where he's featured and mentions that the producers of AGT wanted a very specific story, and he gave them what they wanted because he understood the business side of crowd pleasing, and no harm/no foul but it kind of puts out a slightly skewed backstory in the public. I'm probably way wrong, but that's what my memory is giving me. His original music is stunning too, and I'm a fan for life.
12:57 He was professionally trained and went to the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. He did several shows on Broadway. Listen to a cover duet of Tell Him originally done by Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand with male singer Matt Bloyd.
you are the second reactor to mention he should consider Broadway he definitely has the gravitas and emotional singing to kill it there for sure. the way he can sustain notes almost indefinitely is literally nuts, awesome reaction.
I love Brian Justin Crum! You should check out his version of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing", his duet with Matt Boyd of the song "Tell Him", and of course the song that started it all for him - "Creep" which he performed on America's Got Talent. And if you want to see the best version of this song "It's All Coming Back To Me Now", please check out Meat Loaf's version with Marion Raven. Phenomenal! Great reaction!
BIG WOW!!! I totally love this style of singing, going full power out... and those high notes... This song is a bit too cheerful for my tastes, but his vocals are amazing. Definitely checking out this guy. But if you want another one even less known singer with also such an incredible vocal power, I highly recommend checking out a Korean singer Son Jin Wook. His long high pitches are purely insane, but also has a great talent for using various singing styles. For easier browsing I have a playlist if some of his most amazing performances. He's my top favorite singer now, along with CORVYX, that is also a must see and hear if you don't know him. And considering you don't have reaction of him you probably don't. I really wonder why such amazing singers get so little attention. Do most of the people really not value beautiful, expressive vocals? So be sure to check out Son Jin Wook and CORVYX, I promise you, you won't regret it. edit: As I said I checked more of Brian's songs. Yeah, he's so incredible. Singers like him are so hard too find, probably many more are staying under the radar. Most of mainstream pop singers, especially male, have more toned down styles of singing. While I love so much these powerful high pitches... The only thing that not exactly sits with me in his singing style is that it's perfect :) Yeah, it's too perfect for me, every note seems thoroughly thought up. I prefer more wild singing, that's why I'm rather looking for rock singers... but those often go for more gritty vocals, so it's not easy either.
This is Jeremy Jordan performing identical song, but in a Cabaret Setting. He only had a couple run throughs the afternoon before the performance. This is very lighthearted-he’s actually a Tony Nominated Actor, but loves to have fun. He did this performance as a favor to the accompanist, who also produced this show. He does have to keep referring to the Lyrics and Music, which is why he keeps looking down. It’s just fun, but he does have a terrific voice. ruclips.net/video/TppJMa8apkc/видео.htmlsi=yDx58C8GbDiZbHmE
she does be retired she got diagnosed with stiff person syndrome which has no cure l love brian justin crum and his vocal range and breath control be mad crazy ya should check out his duet with matt bloyd they did barbara streisand and celine dion's tell him jim steinman wrote this he worked with meatloaf
Ken, please listen to Justin singing Creep (from Radiohead) on AGT. I (and many other people) feel Justin was robbed of the win. If you watch the video, you'll understand why. 🥰 And I would really like to hear your comments on his performance.
I love how you go into the techical aspects of production as well as the vocal techniques. I've recently been watching Joe Bonamassa's Redemption album videos, which show so much of the studio production. You talk so much about creating a beautiful tone, but if you aren't gifted, it doesn't mean you can't do a knock-you-down performance. Here are three songs from unconventional voices. Stone Cold - Jimmy Barnes with Joe Bonamassa: ruclips.net/video/IyXFHr5jylI/видео.htmlsi=_V5k3-NgU5TmVY0H Redemption - Joe Bonamassa: ruclips.net/video/wDe-dI3c5d0/видео.htmlsi=-hGygDRI8xYF28il I'd Rather Go Blind - Beth Hart with Joe Bonamassa: ruclips.net/video/UEHwO_UEp7A/видео.htmlsi=m0Y0Dxe0Iq2rEGbc I can also recommend Joe's Sloe Gin (Albert Hall), I'll Play the Blues For You, and the combo Django/John Henry (also Albert Hall). Or really, just about anything of his.
Did you do a reaction to Brian's "Creep" on AGT? ruclips.net/video/XqFKIxBf91Q/видео.html If so, I'd love to see it. Please leave me the link so I can watch it.
I was happy until you said you’d never heard the song‽ You haven’t heard one of Celine’s biggest hits, written by Jim Steinman, one of the 20th century’s greatest song writers‽ I don’t understand 🫣🤪
i don't like his style of singing, it reminds me too much of all those talent shows. how about some more eivor? last time you had technical issues so it would be good to do another one by her, maybe tròdlabúndin live from norway or the last kingdom main theme live or gloomy sunday or wake me up live or boxes live 2012 or truth live at studio bloch or slor london solo sessions? best would be of course you do all of them. thank you!
This is a Jim Steinman written song , same writer who wrote " making love out of nothing at all ", " bat out of Hell" " I'd do anything for love" , " total eclipse of the heart"
Wowzers. Great cover. I'm a big Steinman fan and I admire anyone who can do his work justice -- this dude killed it. Steinman composed epic rock songs that required the performer to be emotive. Ken: you didn't say anything about his mic position??? ;) And très bien on the French Canadian pronunciation of Quebec.

Still one of my all time favorite live performances.

You gotta see him singing "Creep" on AGT and on his RUclips channel his other cover of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing"

His live version of "Creep" on AGT is one for the ages.
I am a huge fan of Brian's. His cover of Creep on AGT and Shallow are just amazing!
Love your facial expressions! Great reaction.

Oh yes, he can definitely sing - wow👌
Whoa, instant chills once he went softer..
Brian also sings with Superfruit. Worth a listen.
He is always spot on and is able to emotionally connect. I have seen him do it like Angelina Jordan in one take.
Your new discovery Tommy Johansson has done a cover of this also...
you are the second reactor to mention he should consider Broadway he definitely has the gravitas and emotional singing to kill it there for sure. the way he can sustain notes almost indefinitely is literally nuts, awesome reaction.
Does he have a singing contract? Love his voice
Yes he has done musical theater. Good call.
If you liked this performance, you should go and check out his cover of creep on agt. The greatest cover of creep period.
